I appreciate the feedback~

Based on what you guys have said so far, the concept is fine, but his abilities need to be revised. Which is good because I really liked how the Cats of Ulthar reference fit neatly with the horror aspect of the floor. 
Two revisions have him as a full spellcaster: one curse-focused, the other luck/gambling focused.
One revision makes him into a... hunter/assassin.

I'll keep working on it.
