[Color=Silver]Tall and broad shouldered, Oliver stands a full head above most men he comes across. He was an athlete before the war, as such he keeps a muscular and toned figure to match with his height. He keeps his dark brown hair a little longer than is normal, but neatly combed to keep in line with military regulations. Oliver has two notable features that most people will catch right away when looking at him. The first is a streak of Oliver's hair is white due to a birthmark, it’s noticeable and prominent on Oliver’s otherwise completely dark hair.  The second is the presence of an old looking watch, the leather straps noticeably worn down. It belonged to his father, and it’s the only thing Oliver has left of the man, so he wears it proudly despite its ugly aged appearance.[/color]

[Color=Silver]Extroverted and confident, he approaches anything from work to meeting new people with a smile. He’s quick with a joke and easy to speak to, often engaging those around him in conversations ranging from a wide variety of topics.  If you’re considered a friend by Oliver, you’ll be made aware pretty quickly that he has your back. There isn’t much he wouldn’t for someone close to him,but on the flip side of that coin, if you cross him you’ll have a bitter enemy. Oliver is not the kind to forgive major slights quickly.

His father’s prior service and all the stories he’s heard about that man has instilled in Oliver a sense of patriotism and loyalty to the Federation. His pride at following in his father's footsteps as a military man is almost palpable. This Patriotic Pride bolsters Oliver’s bravery, he’d do anything to live up to the shoes he’s trying to fill, so while on duty, he’s completely serious and focused on the task at hand. 

Off duty, or outside of an active warzone Oliver still keeps his uniform finely pressed and kept, but will let himself relax and be the jovial extroverted man he usually is.[/color]

[color=silver][INDENT] Oliver was born in Sweetwater, a small suburb nestled near the woods of Darport Vinland, a prominent city in the country.. The first of two children Oliver’s parents were poor, but happy. His parents married young due largely in part to the fact that Oliver's mother was pregnant with him. 
Before Vinland Joined the first Europan war, Oliver’s Father Jackson Sinclair was a Daytaler and a hunter who took odd jobs and hunted to both feed his young family and sell meat to the local butchers to bolster their savings. His mother, Emilia, was a seamstress and homemaker who dotted on an infant Oliver. When Oliver was just two years old  his father left for the war, enlisting for the wages as well as a patriotic sense of duty. He left his young son and his then pregnant wife and went off to fight; he never returned.

Life for the Sinclair family was hard after the death of Jackson. Emilia was broken by the ordeal, the love she had with Jackson being irreplaceable. While his and Emilia’s parents did their best to help the young widow support herself and her two young children, the initial years were a dark period in the young families life. Still they persevered, Emilia finding work as a secretary for Randall Hall, a businessman and philanthropist local to Darport. He paid the young mother well, and soon the Sinclairs we’re back to a position that was comfortable. 

Emilia never remarried, Jackson was the love of her life, and she made sure that Oliver and his younger sister Sarah knew who he was, telling them the stories she heard of his heroism, as well as stories of his character. Oliver idolized the memory of his father, and wanted to be just like him. As a young man he succeeded on most of these fronts, participating in sports, and being open and friends with everyone around him. Emilia forbade the children from enlisting however, the pain of losing Jackson not one she wanted to repeat. Instead, she used her connections with the Hall family to send Oliver and Sarah to university in hopes of them advancing in life and their careers. 

Oliver couldn’t be pulled away from military service however, the call for being just like his father being stronger than his mothers will. So when the Second Europan War broke out, he enlisted. He went through training older than most of his peers, but he showed great aptitude as a soldier because of his background as an Athlete. He quickly found his way into the Shocktrooper specialization, and before long he was a member of the Rangers.

[b] Dauntless Valor[/b]- Oliver is brave to a fault, the stories of his father’s valor in the previous war urging him forward. He doesn’t lock up easy, keeping his cool in most combat situations, but he also is often the first man in a room, or charging a trench; possibility of death coming second to his knee jerk reaction of taking care of the problem.
[b]I can do this all day[/b]- Oliver’s determination to live up to his father's legacy, bolsters him with a determination that some would consider foolhardy. Where most men would give up, Oliver presses on, even to his detriment. He doesn’t know when to quit, and it often gets him into precarious situations. 
[b]If you need something done right.[/b]- Oliver prefers to do things himself. Trusting the stillness of his own hands to that of his teammates in most situations. When this control is taken from him, he gets nervous, the chance of failure being a pressing anxiety for him.
[b]Bloodhounds nose[/b]- Oliver has always had a heightened sense of smell. Good smells are always very good, while the bad ones are almost unbearable for Oliver.
