[@Xaltwind] Hey there! Saw this Int. Check and decided to drop by and ask some questions as least! If you don't mind, of course. :D 1. Is there an age preference on characters? For example: Should all characters be 16-20 year old at minimum, or would an 8-10 year old with a special class or useful ability like clairvoyance be usable as the token/adorable "daughter" character? 2. While things like devils/demons and angels aren't playable, what about humans or proper playable humanoids descended from such bloodlines? They wouldn't likely be like a half angel or half demon, unless you noted such being feasible, though the idea is that people bred with other beings to acquire special abilities or traits in their particular Human (Mixed-Blood) bloodline. 3. Stat-wise, can characters be somewhat or highly specialized? Not as a power gaming move, since they aren't from the game. I mean more something like a character who is very weak in most areas, but has inherited powerful wisdom or high INT due to a special trait or highly focused/strange upbringing sorta deal. Thank you for reading, and I hope to hear back from you soon! And whether I join or not, I hope this fun-sounding concept goes far as an RP! :)
Hello and welcome. I don't mind answering questions at all, that's why this Int.Chk exists after all. 1. There is no age-restriction. If you wanna be a 4 year old toddler who can barely walk and talk, or a 95 year old, senile dementia-case granny, that's fine by me. Just keep in mind that if you play character who is obviously going to be inferior in terms of physique and mental-faculties, your stats will need to reflect that. No way in pepperoni-hell am I going to accept a 10 year old with A-rank STR, VIT and WIS... xD 2. This question has already been answered earlier. Things like Aasimar (humans with celestial blood), Tiefelings (humans with demonic/devil-blood) or other similar distant relatives of other-worlders are fine. Things like outright Half-Devas or Half-Fiends are no allowed though. But yes, people with the bloodline of angels, dmeons, planars or elementals are fine, as long as they're not half-or-quarter-breeds. 3. You can spec your stats however you want, I'm not forcing anyone to spread them out. If you wanna go all in and have S-rank in WIS, but F in everything else, that's up to you. There're no stat points or regulations on a set 'average', all I ask is that people think about their character and set stats that are appropriate. If you're a bookworm who just sits at a desk and reads all day, maybe you shouldn't have -Srank VIT or A-rank DEX... If you're a barbarian who was born into a nomadic tribe that lives by foraging and hunting, maybe you shouldn't have A-rank INT or B-rank CHA... But, it's all up to each one of you in the end. ... Unless I think you're being unreasonable, in which case I'll give you the nope-card. [@Reia], [@EROde] I'll have a look later, but I likely won't say too much. As I've said, the OOC willb e up tomorrow or this weekend, and I'd recommend you read through all the details and specifics in that before you finalize your characters. Who knows? There might be somehting unexpected or contradictory that you didn't see coming? I doubt it very much, but you never know! EDIT: Oh, and regarding Thievery as a profession. It's infe. Though it does beg the question what point there is in making a Thief or Rogue if their primary function and skills can be used by any other class as a sub-vocation... But I'm not gonna sit here and nit-pick about things like that. If you want to be a Warrior-Bard with Sticky Fingers, then go for it. :P
