[indent][indent][indent][color=lightgray]Being in a relationship her senior year at Kings Academy was not at all how Sunshine would have pictured herself to be in the current moment. Was she regretting the path that the universe had chosen for her? No, not exactly, but sometimes she longed to be back in New York with her family still intact. Thankfully, the sunshine of Florida and the few friends she had made here so far were a good replacement. Walking down the school hall, Sunshine truly felt like she was walking along cloud nine as she opened the door to her locker. 

The knots in her stomach and sweaty palms all through out winter break had been worth it. She had taken the leap with Shawna, and she was more than glad that she had. Maybe this was a sign to start taking more leaps of faith. Be smart with it, of course, but maybe be more open about getting what she wanted. Only time could tell. 

Grabbing her books for her first class, Sunshine had just closed the door to her locker when she heard a familiar voice call out to her. Looking up, she would see none other than her buddy from the cheer squad, Nicole. Waving back with a smile, Sunshine began walking the other girls way to close the space between them.
