Flan

A Goblin was a creature that did not have a very refined palate, this made it very easy to please them with even the most basic of foods with a minimal amount of cooking. The only thing one really even had to worry about was making sure they were not fed rotten food, for while they would probably still eat it they could become diseased as a result. If Flan was going to poison someone with food it would not be because she did a poor job of cooking it. As goblins were not picky eaters there was really no point in making any fancy dishes as they couldn't tell a good cut of beef from a bad one. A feast for goblins was more about the quantity of food rather than the quality of food, still, it was a point of pride to at least pay more attention to cooking than just a normal meal. Hamburger patties made from ground mountain goat meat, the cheapest booze in stock, mostly beer, juice extracted from the nearby green berries after the poison was extracted from them, an assortment of wild garnishes, and plenty of bread with just a smattering of butter. While very basic the goblins were still thrilled by the feast that had been prepared as most of there normal meals were quite a bit more, raw. While the goblins were easy to please, it was rather difficult to feel any sort of accomplishment from serving them. Goblins were not exactly eloquent with language or manners so their compliments were rather, unimaginative, usually their reviews being something like 'great' or 'awesome' with little else to build off it. The real way to gauge their enjoyment of a meals was by how much they belched afterward, the more belching the more they enjoyed it. The only one who actually knew how to speak properly was the goblin elder who was quite affluent in his speech, for a Goblin. Flan always made sure to give him a little something extra special as she got the best reactions out of him. After the presiding over the feast and attending Master Rodias' meeting, Flan had come straight to Zouyu's gardens to stock up as much as possible. Already several new species of wild herb and berry had been transplanted into the garden to create a more stable supply which Flan was greatful for. Of course most of the supplies came from the plants that had already been there. Flan and a few harvest slimes quickly gathered up what was ripe for the taking.

Flan had been out and about for a while, taking stock and planning her next trip to hopefully discover a new source of ingredients. She bubbled along in a rather amicable mood at the thought of discovery, when she heard her name being yelled out from the kitchen. What kind of disaster was unfolding in her kitchen now? Flan quickly hustled into the kitchen to assess the damage. It took only a moment to see what had happened, someone who did not know the first thing about proper cooking had attempted their hand at it while Flan was not there to supervise; Thankfully, there was really not much harm done, Flan would easily be able to recover the knives and for some odd reason, a cutting board in the ceiling rafters without much difficulty. The spoon would be easy enough to bend back into the shape, the only real tragedy was the flour caking the mimic but thankfully flour was not in short supply, yet anyway. As a slime, Flan was very familiar with shape shifting and so easily identified who the 'female' was in the kitchen, Socrates the mimic. In a way, slimes were actually superior to mimics in shape shifting as a slime could easily take on any configuration they wished. Slimes could stretch much more than a mimic every could, expand themselves, make instant copies, etc, but a slime could in the end, really only take on the shape of anything. Upon close inspect of an object, one would be able to rather easily identify an object or person as slime with only low perceptive skills, while a mimic could more closely 'mimic' all the facets and even feel of an object. A slime could take on more shapes and sizes, but a mimic was ultimately much better at becoming an object or person. A case of quantity over quality in a sense. Flan sighed at the sight but as their was no real harm done, Flan could at least be impressed at Socrates attempts to cook. "Well everyone has to start somewhere I suppose." Flan chuckled a little as her tendrils quickly picked up the flung cutlery and got the kitchen back in order. "First, let's pick out some recipes first and then prepare the ingredients alright Socrates? When you're ready Tapioca can clean off the flour for you when you're ready." The white harvest slime emerged from the woodwork and stood by to gather all the flour dust off the womanized Socrates. Flan quickly noticed the familiar furball watching the proceedings with interest. "Lord Chompy Bits, here for dinner and a show I take it? Now let's see, which recipe should we try out today." Flan made sure that whatever they chose, there would be onions, mostly because Socrates had started using the kitchen without her permission. There had to be at least a small price to pay after all, mimics could get a little too into their roles after all. Flan quickly set Socrates up but made sure to only help when necessary, mostly to protect the kitchen. Once she had a break she turned her attention to Lord Chompy Bits. "So what will be your treat today? I have a feeling I'll be able to easily accommodate you considering the abundance of rodent life we seem to have these days."
[@Enkryption][@BurningDaisies]
