[@Zinita]. Question: is the world medieval or modern? If the world has a mix of "ages" what does the academy tend to sit at? (You put robots and elves into the CS) I get the feeling you're going for a "let the players make it up unless it is contradictory to what has already been made" worldbuilding, which is fine, but it means we should probably keep track of all the stuff that does come up.
Oops, my bad. I was going to address this in the OOC but I see how the info is useful now. World is something like late 19th century or pre-WW1 20th century in some aspects (airships, electric light, fashion of the common folk) but heavy industry itself isn't too common outside of a few cities. Most of the world is still rural settlements or wilderness, a lot of places have feudalism or other types of monarchy, but there are also some republics. Not that it would matter for anyone playing a robot, there are many ways an automaton could have been made, from ancient long lost tech to some dwarf's personal project which could still fit the setting if it was medieval. The reason I picked the time frame I did is mostly for the amenities, the options of transport, choices of activities and the ease of communication while still being back in time enough it doesn't feel like a modern day RP, especially if you aren't in the capitals of the world. The Federation is something close to the holy roman empire, as in a lot of semi-independent states with their own culture and political systems yet under the same figurehead emperor / government, but in the scale of the British empire, as in having a lot of land all over the continents, so characters can be of a variety of species / ethnicity / cultures and come from places that are feudal / theocratic / tribal / etc. but still be equals in the nation. [s]I am writing a lot for something that won't really be relevant in the RP lol[/s] but maybe the world building helps some to get a few ideas for characters.
