[hider=FAQ]Q: What type of fantasy creatures are out in the world?
A: I’m inclined to say anything you’d find in typical fantasy settings. While there isn’t as much of magical prominence in the world, things like unicorns and wyverns still exist. If there’s something you specifically want, ask me and I’ll probably say yes.

Q: What is magic and how does it work?
A: More like science & alchemy than anything. If you’re trying to get a very specific result, you’ll need to experiment with spell circles and reagents until you reach that result. Things like portals and scrying are relatively common amongst seasoned witches and wizards. When it comes down to it if you’d like to practice magic you’ll need to make it your career because of the investment required to actual get good at it- you study, you trial and error, you perfect.

Q: What is the heart meter and how does it work?
A: So most of these people in Hillhaven are complete strangers to one another. Even if they’ve been around for the two seasons during the town’s construction it isn’t a lot of time to really know someone. The heart meter represents how close you are to that person. Spending time with them could raise the heart, giving them gifts that they actually enjoy could raise them, but it’s something that will just happen over time. Heart Events are also a thing, which are activated when you emotionally move the character to the point where they open up about something and you grow closer on a fundamental level.

Q: What is the current technology level in the world? It says Colonial-Industrial so which more so does it lean towards?
A: Dwarves are the ones leading the charge when it comes to technological advancement. Coal Fueled engines are just now starting to rise up, gunpowder has been around for a little while so while most have muskets- others will have revolvers and more complex rifles. We are just getting into that Industrial Revolution swing.

Q: Can a townsfolk have two jobs in the town.
A: You can have as many as you want as long as it makes sense.[/hider]

[color=gray] The planet that this story's setting is called [b]Gaia[/b]. The intelligent races that occupy it are the ambitious humans, the hardy dwarves, the free-thinking elves, and the mystical orcs. Most of Gaia is still unmarked on maps as the continent of [b]Astraia[/b] is large enough for the four races to each have their own territories, and is rich in resources to be utilized equally among them. There has been a number of wars in [b]Astraia's[/b] past, but it's been hundreds of years now that the races have lived in peace- allowing civilization to begin flourishing out to the borders that once remained unexplored by the Astraian people. Hillhaven is a newly founded region and settlement in Northwest Astraia just beyond the Mosscrag Mountain Range founded by Cresta Dustwallow. The environment is lush with flora and fauna still yet to be discovered, our town while newly established is placed next the beautiful Sharkspear Lake with a fishing villa constructed for our townsfolk needs. While the town is still not fully constructed we are hoping to fill a number of jobs and roles that you, the recipient of this letter meet the criteria of. [color=gray]Hillhaven was recently founded by [b]Cresta Dustwallow[/b]. It's location is nestled just beyond the [b]Mosscrag Mountain Range[/b], which was only fully explored a few years ago due to its dragon infestation. The valley Hillhaven finds itself in is quite beautiful with its countless rollings hills, grasslands, forests, a few rivers, and a large lake which the town itself was built right next to. Cresta herself had been a bit of an adventurer in her youth, serving in the Wyverspoon military before taking off to explore the dangerous corners of Astraia. She is known to be one of the few people responsible for the world's map growing in recent years, but alas those days are over and she now seeks to settle down and live a quieter life. Not wanting to plant her roots in any of the preexisting settlements in her country, she decided to claim some of the land she herself helped find, and with the help of some upstart investors founded Hillhaven. The town is fairly small and still growing, but with its growing population- more buildings and structures continue to claim the untouched land over time.[/color][hr][hr]
