[indent]Ava’s life has been a big buttfucking orgy of disappointment. The youngest of three children birthed to potential Irish criminal, Patrick McCreary, an arms dealer and go-to middleman between the NRA and the IRA,  and possible enabler/co-conspirator, Sophia Esposito, crisis management extrordinaire who singlehandedly helped Sony out of the hacking scandal of 2014. Her parents are great and if you were to ask for her honest opinion, she’d tell you she loved them to death but do not mistake this for her not knowing exactly what they’re like. Her father is a mansplaining, toxic masculinity-ridden, total fuckboy supervisor who enabled her oldest brother, Michelangelo (Mickey for short) to be the biggest example why white privilege is a thing. At least her second oldest brother, Joey, was slightly less annoying.

So, as stated, Ava’s upbringing, while great environment wise and the family trips to Ireland, Greece, Italy, and so on were great, that didn’t make up for the fact that she felt like the only sane one. She didn’t feel left out or anything but there has never been a doubt in her mind that her quippy humor and overuse of snark and sass is 99.9% thanks to the stupidity she was exposed to early on.

As a young gal, Ava probably didn’t fit in much with the girls. She wasn’t a tomboy like her “dear” friend Val nor was she an over-the-top feminine icon like good ole Chloe, but Ava’s mouth hit like a wrecking ball and didn’t always make friends. But thank god for Shyboy™, Nathan Matthews. She was drawn to him because he wasn’t the type to turn away from her when she made a snappy comment. He was the ideal man: selfless, totally supportive of everything Ava wanted to do and didn’t try and correct her. And had Ava been into guys, she knew they would have boned. He was the perfect friend.

In high school, Ava’s sexual experimentation didn’t take long to take off and disrupt certain routines. She wouldn’t say she’s a slut or a thot or anything but if it had lady parts, it had Ava’s attention. This kind of caused problems with her studies but Ava had been crafty enough to be sort of lowkey with it. She never let it get too bad to where parent-teacher conferences were necessary but she wasn’t winning any scholarships, that’s for sure. And especially not to the family alma mater. 

Yeah, remember that cesspool of disappointment? It comes full circle. So much for Ava’s dreams of trying to get her foot into the sports news world, huh? Ava can’t really say for certain if she and Alek are “close”, at least not in the sense that he would be the first person on her speed dial or if he had any place on her speed dial. Whether it was due to mutual respect of being their own boss in whatever way applied to them, having enough mutual friends that they jsut ended up becoming close enough friends that had Ava coming over to Chloe’s house and eat up all the grub that Chloe’s Nonna makes, or just the unofficial group she has with Chloe and Reyna, it can’t be denied there’s a friendship between the two. Ava knows, if circumstances were different and the hoe wasn’t so preoccupied with Alek, she would’ve hit that no problem. But Ava respects boundaries whent hey are explicitly stated. More to the point, Chloe’s kind of a boss in Ava’s eyes. When it comes to the nature of the friendship(?) that Ava and Emilia have, it’s not a deep one but still there’s a semblance of compassion on both fronts. Ava can speak a lot about what her relationship with Ivy is like. If there was anyone among the usual suspects she has spent the most time with (aside ThotSquad™ and Nate), Ivy is that person. Prom was...Prom was...Prom was an absolute mess. Ava can’t recall when she was at such a more disastrous event at their school. Between this and H.O.T. dismantling for obviously idiotic reasons, Ava vividly recalls just how terribad the whole night was. Between the punch bowl being spiked with Vodka (give you three guesses who did that) and Brandon breaking up with poor, naive Emilia, giving birth to the crying hot mess we have now. And that wasn’t even the worst of it -- at least, not in Ava’s eyes. One could say Carter and Katie took the crown for worst shitstain ever and Savanna Hart decided to take to Instagram about how robbed from the crown she was (go cry to somebody who cares, no longer Queen of Harts), but nobody can know true pain as when Ava found out about Nate and Josie.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the real tea.

Ava didn’t have any problem with Josie. Too colorful for her own tastes and just generally annoying like a bad sparkling bug or whatever you wanted to call it, but certainly not a bad person. If circumstances were different, maybe they could have been friends. They have mutuals and certainly could have gotten down with a drink or two if need be, but once Ava heard it from Nate’s lips and realized that she crushed him, that was the end of any possible friendship. If Ava ever sees her and they are alone, you can bet everything on Ava using what she picked up from watching Ivy’s matches and teach that rainbow trainwreck you don’t go and breaking the hearts of her people she cares about.

Now Katie is someone Ava can vibe with. Someone who doesn’t see her as a fellow thot or someone who doesn’t know her baggage. No offense to anyone, of course, but sometimes it’s nice to just be around someone who might not know that stuff about her. Katie, much like a few others at the school, is a kindred spirit. She doesn’t let anyone get her down or tell her what to do. But underneath that, similarly, with how Ava has a caramel center under the tough shell she puts on, Katie is softer and kinder. That’s something Ava can resonate with.

When it comes to the resident dumb jock, Ava could talk about him for days just like he could go on and on about how short and annoying she tends to be. Ava can say just how stupid he is and how his lack of understanding of basic principles of simple things like how the sky is blue makes Emilia’s naive nature look astute, but that’s hitting below the belt. Instead, she likes to focus on the good. Leon might not have all of his eggs in the basket, but something she admires about him is his loyalty and ability to make anyone feel good by being the way he is. All the kidding, all the joking, all of the teasing aside, Leon is a dear friend of her’s. That’s really anyone needs to know and should care to know.

Ava cares deeply for Nate. They have been through a lot together. Ava’s well aware of how different they are. Even since the beginning when they first met, Ava was the loud one and Nate was the quiet boy with his head always down. But you know what? Ava didn’t care. She saw Nate for who he truly was, not as someone who didn’t talk as much as the others or how he had to be forced to communicate. She didn’t care if he was bullied or if she got into fights with the asswipes that harassed him. Ava always has his back. Not only that but she was there for him during the worst of it. Anything that may have been tough for him to get through, she was there. Whether he needed her to help babysit, talk about something that was troubling him, or even just wanted to relive their childhood memories, Ava would drop everything in a heartbeat.

Simply put, even if she doesn’t have the time, Ava drops anything for him. Nate is the one person in her life, everyone else be damned, that she knows she can be her true self. Not even Katie or the ThotSquad™ make her feel so relaxed as being around Nate does. And for someone so proud and seemingly unphased by what people think about her, that speaks a lot about how deep the bond between these two go.

Despite being two parts of the thot trio, Ava never liked to see herself as one and especially not when it came to Reyna. Truth be told, while they are a certain breed of “thots”, their real connection and where they mostly overlap comes right down to how protective they are of Emilia. There’s a certain “you were thinking it but I said it” fact that applies to them. When shit broke down between Emilia and Brandon, they both had the thought of making him pay. Ava never knew how it happened but his tires got slashed. Her only regret was she didn’t get the chance to slice his tires herself.

Ava wouldn’t be herself if she didn’t say there was this part of her that was attracted to Reyna. And they have fooled around a bit. Nothing too serious but it happened and Ava had no regrets. At the end of the day, they are still friends. At the end of the day, nothing was ruined. At the end of the day, Ava was able to see her friend naked. And that’s what matters most, right?

Whenever she sees or even thinks of Sami, Ava sees someone who people might not truly understand. And maybe she doesn’t get him completely either but a lot seem to think differently of him for how secretive he is. She has no problem with that. She might not be as close to him as others but she likes Sami. There’s something there that draws her to him. Maybe it’s because she knows what it is like when people assume certain things about her. She might pretend it doesn’t affect her, but she can relate to how Sami might feel (if it actually does bother him).

There’s a phrase that Ava always thinks of when it comes to Val: visible confusion. This is so because she does not understand her at all. On paper, they [i]should[/i] be friends. On paper, they have similar interests (well enough to warrant a certain closeness). On paper, they have similar vibes, but for whatever reason that remains completely unknown to Ava, she doesn’t have any bond with her. The extent of what she has with Val could be summed in less than ten words: they exist at the same high school. Ava’s not mad that Val doesn’t talk to her when she’s walking her way or if she does, it’s in some attempt to get the hell out of dodge. She’s not even disappointed that Val doesn’t want to make any attempt. If anything, she’s just confused and wants to know what it was she did to make an enemy out of her.
