Wake up! Elias sat up, chest tight and breath short. The last thing he remembered was leaving his parents' house to go to the airport. He had a photo shoot in New York he was the makeup artist for. His luggage had his kit and enough clothes for one night. There was a crash in the forest, then a purple light engulfed him before he could get his foot in the car. Now he's somewhere dark, on top of concrete, and cold. His long, black, lace wrap and short flow black dress didn't do anything to keep him warm. At least he wore his teal cowboy boots, so his feet weren't freezing. Distantly, he heard screaming. "Do you know what's goin' on, Elle?" No, but I don't like it. But I have a hunch it has something to do with me. Elias didn't like the sound of that at all. He's gotten used to the voice in his head that's not his own and he loves it dearly, even seeing colors around people don't freak him out anymore, but lines have to be drawn somewhere and teleporting purple light is where he's drawing it. The darkness lit up. Through the doorway he saw red and a group of people fighting...tentacles? And more screaming. He got up and speed walked towards the light and people. Maybe one of them knows what's going on. Don't go. Those things are dangerous. "Yeah, I got that, but strength in numbers and I'd quite like not being alone." Yes, please. Pretend I don't exist. "Couldn't, even if I wanted to, love. Not that I do." He reassured it. Elias walked through the opening the same time the tentacles disappeared. He hesitated walking up to the group, but it was scary and creepy and whatever the hell that was could come back. Like hell he's going to be by himself. The group glowed like the sun, not bright, but yellow. There wasn't a person that didn't feel the same way he did. He walked up to the fringes of the group, there were street lights, but they didn't do much to see what was in the chasm, but a vague city outline. Not that it mattered when they went off a few seconds later. A cacophony of moans and groans came from the dark. I don't like the sound of that. Get back, Eli. Elias wasn't gonna disagree with it, so he back up right as the lights came back and revealed a horde of giant creatures with conjoined bodies. Two heads, one male, the other female with smeared makeup. Both were grotesque, their bodies fused in the middle, so they had three legs instead of four, one arm each, and mutilated genitals. "Make a way out, somehow!" Elle couldn't tell who said it, but it didn't care. Keeping Elias safe was the only thing on its mind. In the time it took for a woman to wash a small dent of the creatures away, Elle shot out of Elias and formed a barrier twenty feet in diameter around him and anyone standing in range. The barrier was pink and had five arms, four in the cardinal directions and one on top. "Since when could you do that?" Since always. Now move! Elias didn't know where to go, but it was between the chasm and the warehouse. He couldn't see what was beyond it with the creatures in the way, so he ran towards the warehouse. Elle grabbed creatures and chucked them back in all directions. Large fist came down on the top, the one hand grabbed it and punched it away with another, but the undefended side gave them an opening to hit the barrier. A crack formed in its spot and Elias got a headache and almost tripped. He stopped, dizzy. It last a few seconds, then he continued on. Was the warehouse this far from the chasm? He didn't think it was, but he could be wrong.
