I'll keep an eye on this, see where it goes. Question: How do you plan to accomplish a satisfying narrative in the constraints of a tactical, squad based roleplay? I find that in these "tight knit" group style roleplays that available content for a post can be rather limiting, as you are guided by the movements and actions of the other characters around you, which, results in a reactionary style of roleplay, which is a poor format for storytelling for anyone other than the GM.
I'm planning on collaborative mission stuff for the driving narrative of the game, outside of the more personal character interactions in downtime inbetween that is. I've got a lot of faith when it comes to the writing capabilities of people here, so was preparing a sliding scale of sorts of GM guidance when it came to writing stuff out. I know some people prefer a more tabletop game-esque flow when it comes to encounters and situations, and then others, like you mentioned, work better with fewer limitions and more self-directed narratives. Honestly fine with either approach for writing in this sort of game; whether it be specifying the actions taken by individual evil goons on my end, or more hands-off and just providing a situation prompt to get people pointed in a direction and they take it from there. Naturally, those two style probably wouldn't work terribly easily within the confines of a single team/mission, but I certianly don't plan on putting really anything into things like setting teams in stone or specific team layouts and sizes. If that makes any sense. Essentially I just like the concept of this world setup for characters, not really picky about how it plays out, would just be excited to see stories crafted from it.
