ACADEMICS
The institute, just like any other wizarding school in America has different forms of testing. In the sixth year, students can decide to take MAPS, which is Magic Advancement Studies, and are rigorous courses than your regular studies that are taken for a full year instead of half a year. MAPS courses are available to prepare students for a higher-level job once they graduate and the scores range from 1, which is considered Troll through 5, which is considered Mentor. In the last year of school, students are required to take one or two tests, the International Wizarding Empirical Performance (I-WEP) or American Wizarding Test (AWT). These tests are taken into consideration for any job or career that requires post educational witchcraft or wizardry. The I-WEP test consists of one written portion and the second portion is a physical study of the student's choosing, like potions or charms or whatever. The AWT consists of two separate tests as there is one with transfiguration and one without transfiguration. Both tests are scored between 0 (Okay) to 50 (Outstanding). CLASSES Alchemy Astronomy Herbology Apparition Care Of Magical Creatures Arithmancy Muggle Studies Ancient Runes History Of Magic Transfiguration Divination Metamorphosis Charms Potions Defense Against The Dark Arts
