Glad to have at least fired something off that hurt the slime, Nira's mind quickly cut through its own clutter and focused on the fight as the adrenaline of that near miss lunge kicked in. She was flustered, and she was hungry, but right now she was just really annoyed with herself for making this mistake again. She wasn't going to waste this new life and have it end so easily. Focusing on the slime, she didn't lower her guard once she felt she was out of range, and the learned lesson payed off. Though it couldn't reach her by stretching its entire body, it could still extend its reach with a whiplike pseudopod to try and knock her out of the air. Drifting back as quickly as she could, she felt a rush off air as it swiped through where she had just barely been before, her hair whipped up along with it. Deciding that it would be a bad idea to get any closer, Nira started preparing her incomplete spell again with the intent to let it fly, only to notice the two incoming mana orbs. Not taking much time to think, she backed up a little higher and tried to observe them before firing her own, hoping to complete the spell with that last little bit of improvement.
