And he understood the logic. "Well I'll be there helping. And I hope you get a decent amount of credits for what you're doing. Your job, on top of this, and what probably means staying late to get it done." Sure, Manny understood the logic of staying until a job was done. But if a job was given that needed to take longer then the allotted hours was given, and had to be done that day. Surely that deserved extra? Though he thought, and decided he wanted to add one last note to the old conversation. "Though, if more doctors knew about the walkers from the start? I think we'd have more people in general. I think that is where much of the issue came up. No one really knew anything until it was too late." He did wonder if there was more that people did know, but due to a lack of available communication most people didn't? The boat repair station seemed interested to say the least. Decent number of boats, and that is far as Manny's understanding for boats went. He never really rode in one before other then the occasional time many years ago. And he had no idea about how anything worked on a boat. "A'hoy to you too." Manny said towards the Maddog. He had no idea if that was the proper response, but it sounded cool in his head. So he stuck with it. Manny did give a polite wave and a "Hello." in response to his introduction from Lisa. "I've seen Maddoc a couple times, but it is great to have a formal introduction. And Rivits, it is nice to meet you too." He kept a good polite smile on his face. When time came for cleaning the boat Manny got ready as best as he could. "Honestly? Yes. I've only been on a boat a couple times in my life. Late partner tried to take us to a dinner date on a ferry thinking it would be romantic. The poor fool thought he could hide the fact he got sea sick." He said with a bit of a laugh. "How about you? Assuming you've done this before?" Manny would do what he could to help, but he was still pretty new to this kind of work. Wouldn't stop him from trying though. Interesting. Volts comment about putting his best foot forward he found a bit odd. Sure, the logic was there. But he found it hypocritical considering how quickly the threats of shooting came up. He found it even more odd considering that he didn't threaten anyone by that point. Sure he fucked up later but he knew he did and he knew his social status here would be hurt forever for it. That was fair. "My best foot isn't relevant here. So you could say, I am finding my footing?" He smiled with a look of approval for what he thought was an amazing joke. Deciding that it wasn't as funny out loud though, he stopped and just moved on from it. Though a joke was probably a better thing to say then his real thoughts. There was more comments about his best, but Hunter's comment stood. Plus, he saw little reason to put his best forward here. He was still deciding if he trusted the people here, or liked them beyond basic toleration. When in the admin building Volts and the woman named Sandra had a conversation about him. When she looked his way, he smiled a polite smile, and waved. Hunter was eventually told to sit, so he did with a shrug. The chairs were simple, and traffic was low. He noticed Sandra say something about a Mac, assuming he was Gunny so maybe his past logic was flawed about who to blame for the threatening. That and the times matched with what he was doing. The follow up code was weird, but he shrugged it off. He had figured he would just have to wait this out, have the meeting thing, and move on with his day. What he found weird even for this place, was seeing Thalia here. His memory of her the night before was vague, but he remembered something about... a power saw... Now he wondered if he had something to do with a power saw?! He made a mental note to not get wasted like that without a backup plan again. But looking at her arm, he concluded that he had nothing to do with the power saw. Hunter took note of Thalia noticing him. And talking in private. He watched as the weird conversation took place. He wondered what they were talking about, was it something to do with Gunny as well? He watched as the conversation took place, and said nothing. He figured he might as well wait for his appointment to start.
