I should probably chime in. I don't, honestly, know what I can and cannot say. But, I'll try... TL;DR: Show, not tell. It's not an easy task as a writer, but there's a reason, if you remember that there should be one. Let's just try to balance the focus of Chuunitrixx's posts, because I can see where everyone is coming from, but focusing on only the negative aspects and not the reasons behind them is only going to make them stand out negatively. And, that, will only lead to infighting and dropouts.
Chuunitrixx is a not a character that is meant to be easy to get along with. That was always the intention, due to her character arc and the underlying reason she is so hyper-aggressive with certain character traits; like her ego, her place, and her purpose are all feed by her Hivequeen Racial, a Royal Insect that stands at the Apex of the Insectoid Hierarchy. Her unstable emotional range is a victimization of her emotions from her 10 Levels in Doppelganger and 5 Levels in Greater Doppelganger; that's 15 individual mindsets, added one her single Levels in Automaton, Homunculus, and Mimic for a total of 19 minds all working in unison, but capable of individual thoughts, emotions, and feelings. But, Chuunitrixx is about showing, not telling; all writing is. So, Chuunitrixx shows her emotions to that which has befallen her. She was prideful, deflective, in the introduction, when she realized, they weren't NPC Ruled; she was embarrassed, and she deflected that to telling everyone her first free thoughts -- no longer bound to repeated dialogues. I'll address the three events that Chuunitrixx does: In Flan's Kitchen, she was exhausted, offended, and didn't want to deal with Flan or Mamoru. In her mind, she was just eating in a communal area, and Mamoru instigated Flan into threatening Chuunitrixx, whereas Flan could have asked if Chuunitrixx was hungry, and offered her food, instead of following Mamoru up, and pulling a knife on a Chapter Keeper. Should Chuunitrixx not be offended by that, let that slide, and smile? No. Not really. It was an insult to her and her position, her power, and common sense that she would be denied a meal, because Mamoru riled up Flan, instead of Flan acting on her own senses as the Chef. Graft is a complex issue of Chuunitrixx coming into terms of her own power with her Reproductive Capability skill, and how much effort it takes to create life on her own terms, whereas, someone like Graft just does it as an impersonal, clinical science and discards the failures. To learn that he had knowledge of her Ascendants meant he had something else to run through that same mindset and impersonality... and, potentially discard carelessly as a failure. That isn't someone her pride and maternal instincts could handle, and she went to the farest end of protecting the eggs. It's irrational, yes, but, at the same time, she's not completely rational, either; she's instinct and impulse, because this isn't "combat" she understands. Could she have handled it differently, of course, but she panicked, and acted. Kaldorna was Chuunitrixx attempting to put herself out there, and create an alliance with one of those that is supposedly supposed to be her ally. Instead of Kaldorna attempting to meet her halfway, she turned her down outright with needless chastising; Chuunitrixx would have accepted the denial, base, but Kaldorna went the extra mile to paint Chuunitrixx as someone to attempt to jockey for secret police, when she was seeking an open peacekeeping force. Simply wanting bodies to go around the area and make sure everyone was alright, being nice, and keeping general safety. They can't live under the idea that Rodias will protect them from everything that is, and having a mobilized police force would greatly help their future. Kaldorna dismissed her, a Chapter Keeper, as a mere Facility Manager, and came off high and mighty. Just what else should she feel but anger, as she attempted to be more than reasonable, open, and was slapped in the face for her efforts? And, as a bonus, Chuunitrixx makes mentions of seeming insignificant with her minions. Let's just list everyone that has "minions": Chuunitrixx, Graft, Mamoru (through Clone and Butlers), Bone Daddy, Gromgard, Lord Chompy Bits, Ashara, Kaldorna, Salem, Isolde, and Flan (on technicality of fetcher blobs) And, those that don't: Kath, Violet, Talim, Charme, Zouyu, and Light. 11 vs 6.. So, is it really a crime for her to feel insignificant after coming to sentience, feeling herself special, her minions special, and her station special, only to realize, after a few days, there nine others that can replace you, because you're one of eleven with the same minion-controlling build/skill? To feel angry that your significance is easy to find one every floor and all over the grounds? It's jealousy that she isn't as special as she was, when she was an NPC, and, in her world, there was no other like her, because that's how special she was. Like I said, Chuunitrixx was a different person before an event long before the isekai even occurred. We'll get there. I hope.
