They’re like, the cutest things I’ve seen, like, this whole week!” Iris exclaimed, wide adoring eyes glued on the Treeple™️ and the Treeple™️ alone. She moved the hand she used to wave over her chest, giving a small introductory bow. “I’m Iris. Good to meet you Groot! Or...Groots?” she said, a questioning tone taking over the second part of the statement. Her curious gaze turned downward to the bowl of strange water being presented to her, and her eyebrows crinkled together in confusion. She took it, gazing down into the water, strange herbs floating in it. She looked back to the tree things, her look of confusion replaced by one of skepticism and distrust, her lips curving into a frown. Often even cute things hid sharp teeth behind their adorable little kissable faces. Wolverines - the actual animal, not the mutton chop metal claw guy - had taught her that much. She cast an unsure side glance over at her team. "I don't think this is a very good id-" she began, but stopped herself as Neil took the tiniest sip of his bowl of water. She watched hesitantly as Mira followed suit, drinking her entire bowl, which prompted Neil to finish his as well. Iris lifted the bowl up close to her lips, but the two didn't connect right away, instead waiting as Iris watched her teammates to see the effect it'd have on them. When Mira's voice came out clear, Iris' expression softened, a exhaling a breath she didn't know she was holding as a small smile returned to her face. She slammed back the drink, feeling the refreshing if slightly odd tasting water slide down her throat. As she pulled the empty bowl away from her mouth, she felt relief wash over her sore body. It felt good. She looked down at the herbs left in the bowl and, unsurprisingly, her mind only asked one question: could she smoke this stuff? It was something she definitely wanted to try. She wasn't sure exactly how she'd get more of the stuff, but she knew that, one way or another, she'd make a magical healing doobie. She lifted her head, about to ask the Treeple™️ for some more of the herb, when Neil started talking. She turned her head to him, tilting it slightly. "Why would we have to fight their boss? Wouldn't they not help us if their boss was evil?" she asked, before realization dawned on her. "Wait, is that a video game term? Because I've never played - Oh, wait, no, my dad made me play Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing when I was a kid, so there's one." she said, before looking back to the Treeple™️. "That was some dope tea! I don't mean to sound selfish, but do you got any more of those herbs?"
