I don't know if it'll help you, but when I work on starters/future Pokemon to catch I usually go with a theme that goes well with my character.

For example; Noel will probably use a lot of lazy Pokemon/Pokemon related to sleep. (Slakoth, Munna, Munchlax/Snorlax ect)
