Name Petros Kaladar Gender Male Homeworld Karaj is a large, habitable planet orbiting a relatively cool star but significantly closer than Terra orbits Sol. Temperate regions exist in the far north and far south but the majority of the planet is dominated by vast savanna and pockets of desert interspersed with low-lying coastal jungles and salt water marshes. The humans inhabiting Karaj were in the late iron age when the Emperor arrived on the planet but it had not always been this way. Once the planet was home to vast mining networks that supplied shipyards in orbit with raw materials to fuel human colonization of space. Warp storms engulfed the systems around Karaj’s home system without warning and without mercy, but somehow the planet was spared. No one could explain what had happened only that anyone who tried to to leave to find help never returned. In the centuries that followed, the humans began to collect into tribes and fought one another for scarce resources. In a few short years, the ships and structures in orbit around the planet fell back down to the surface. This period became known as “Al'iielk’no” literally translated as “The Proclamation”. The years long period of these massive structures falling to Karaj is now believed to be the gods making themselves known and showing their might by bestowing the people shelter and fortresses to protect them in exchange for worship and praise. The wrecks that were intact enough to live in were soon populated by surviving humans along with mining infrastructure and converted into city states who each devoted themselves to a particular god. To call many of these structures city states would be correct but misleading. Some of the largest were more akin to kingdoms that in habit vast networks of mining tunnels or the corpses of capital ships many kilometers long. Hundreds of these states exist, but the most famous and powerful of these states are “Frig”, “Ilmac”, “Vo’ek”, and “Carr”. His face naturally comes to rest in a stern, contemplative expression which makes his frequent smiles all the more prominent. Like his brethren, he stands unnaturally tall and muscular as a true icon of a being well beyond humanity. Even in light of his super human nature, he deviates little from the standard appearance of his gene sons’ armor despite the extra adornments. He sees himself as one of them and he refuses to pretend otherwise. War Gear Armor - Standard Mk 4. Astartes armor adorned to the level appropriate for someone of his status. Other than the decoration and custom fitting, the armor is no different than what legion veterans would use. What is good enough for his men is good enough for him. Weapons - His primary weapon is a force spear large enough for the primarch to effectively wield and his secondary is a force sword he uses when he must discard the spear. Shield - A storm shield of standard design if being larger than average but purely for the sake of accommodating Petros’ size. Personality Your Primarch's character traits, their positives and negatives, their highs and lows, where they excel and what their flaws are. Remember: the Primarchs are human, and yet far beyond humanity, capable of far more intensity than any mere mortal in all of their emotions. In other words, they're almost literally larger than life, and should be portrayed as such. Skills Perhaps as a consequence of living in a state of perpetual war that forged Petros and his gene sons, their bodies have mutated to accommodate this lifestyle. Under the rigors of combat and strife, humans gain muscle mass to a certain degree. The people of Karaj experience almost explosive muscle growth from even moderate exercise and maintain muscle beyond what is considered reasonable even under such constant physical strain. The other side of the coin, however, is they also suffer from accelerated muscular atrophy. Astartes of the Xth Legion regularly stand a full head taller than their peers of other legions, but just 2 days without physically exerting themselves can lead to loss of muscle tissue and bone density. Prolonged periods without exercise (a month or more) can cause deterioration of immune and cardiovascular health as well as frighteningly rapid weight loss. In summary, Karajians are literally allergic to peace. Assignment Grade Gamma Petros possesses a high level of psychic ability that manifests itself in his ability to project telepathic fields and sense those around him with psychic potential. Adding to this, the majority of The Immortals’ Astartes possess a small degree of psychic ability similar to their primarch. An individual marine is only enough to give a vague feeling of optimism but an entire squad amplifies each individual member’s sphere of influence and they often overlap, feeding into one another. Those who fight beside Petros and The Immortals describe feelings of being able to take on entire armies alone, and a complete lack of fear. In fact, many report they felt a sort of manic joy at the idea of dying such “glorious” deaths on the field of battle. This effect may linger with those affected by it for hours or even days after being removed from the presence of an Immortals unit. Biography Petros’ journey across the cosmos would end in the farmlands outside the city of “Ak’lel”. His home state was of moderate size and power, but of little consequence to the greater politics of the land. The young primarch joined his city’s military without hesitation would prove himself an adept combatant and brilliant leader at a young age which proved to be a great boon in a world constantly at war through a complex network of alliances and pacts. He soon grew in power such that he overthrew the king of Ak’lel and claimed the throne for himself. Within a few short years he amassed a kingdom and helped his allies grow their land as well to encompass multiple tribes and cities. Things were good for many years after this, wars were fought, alliances forged and broken, all was as it should be. This balance was not to last, however. Traders from the far north brought with them tales of a massing empire led by a man calling himself God King Sadanius. He proclaimed peace for all he joined him and an end to what he called “pointless wars” and all those who stood in the path of progress and peace would be cut down. As much as this outraged Petros and his peers, they soon learned his words carried weight. The result was a meeting of kings as brothers in arms on a scale not seen in a hundred generations. No false god would bring them to their knees, bring peace to their lands and let their people grow weak in complacency. In all, more than twenty kings came together under a single banner, led by Petros himself to rage, rage against the death of the warrior. They would not die gently and fought so their sons and daughters would not have to face the horrors of slow decay. War culled the unworthy and they refused to let anyone chain the strong to the weak. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx In the century or so since the Emperor’s arrival, technological progress has turned the primitive societies on its surface into prosperous, if not at all peaceful republics that regularly tithe soldiers and materials mined from the mountains near the poles. Petros regularly checks back with his home to make sure they’re doing well and nudge them toward progress and unity should they be led astray. War is a feature of humanity, not a bug, and thus the constant state of war between rival nations on the planet is actually encouraged by Petros. He refuses to let his people fall prey to the temptations of serenity. The Meeting For this section, you’ll RP out how your Primarch met up with the Emperor, and the events surrounding that. The Meeting should be written as though it were a proper RP post, and as such at least two or three high-quality paragraphs should be put to paper. Please do not write from the Emperor's perspective at any point - though, given that he presents himself more or less however the beholder wishes to view him, you may retain the freedom to characterize him as you feel is most appropriate for the situation.

Legion Name Originally named the "Void Hounds" Petros renamed the legion "The Immortals" after his most elite warriors from which the vast majority of the initial recruits were drawn. Legion Number X Legion Strength 77,000 Astartes
65,000 Active Astartes 6,000~ Reserve Astartes 6,000~ “New Bloods”
As well as assorted IA artillery and mechanicus personnel Astartes are divided into squads of 5 collectively refereed to as an Immortal in reference to the way they seem to fight as one mind. 50 Immortals make up a War Party, 50 War Parties form a Chapter, and the 6 Chapters form The Immortals Legion. Few legions can match the prowess shown by the tenth at sword's length. Still, the modern battlefield requires one to adapt and so the Immortals have taken to wielding ranged weapons in their off hands while wielding a variety of melee weapons in the other. Ranged weapons are used as a method to minimize incoming fire and keep enemy gunners pinned down long enough for The Immortals to close to melee distance. Man portable heavy weapons are also exceedingly common as a means of countering enemy heavy weapons while on the move. Legion Characteristics/Ideology: The manner in which the Legion acts outside of battle, as imposed upon them by the Imperium itself, the geneseed of their Primarch, and their Primarch's direct actions and directives. Maybe they're a highly progressive group, or maybe they're extremely traditional. Do they take any cues or inspiration from animals, or from real-world civilizations such as the Romans or Vikings? Do they act like the angels they're often mistaken for, or are they of a more devilish attitude? Relationships: How does the Legion interact with other groups in the galaxy, such as other arms of the Imperium and fellow Astartes Legions? Are they on good terms with the Imperial Army, or perhaps they have a rivalry with another Legion, friendly or otherwise? Have any particular xeno races drawn their ire previously? To date, the only major xeno races presently in the galaxy are the Orks and the splintered groups of Eldar, though countless other civilizations exist that pose just as much threat to the Imperium as these more well-known aliens. The Legion may also be aware of Warp-spawned threats, though if you’d like to have some connection to them, I’d recommend discussing it with a GM first.
