[@Inkarnate] Since no one has yet to post here and I haven't asked you in awhile about music recs, what's your thoughts on Eastern European music like Kino, Chernikovskaya Hata, etc.? Especially if it has that moody, night drive during a snowfall kind of feel.
Fortunately, due to my love for art punk, cold war cinema in Europe, and my own curiosity with my eastern European heritage I have enough of an inkling about these things. From what I can tell Кино, Chernikovskaya Hata, and similar contemporaries were part of Europe’s Post-Punk scene. These acts were a lot darker and more industrial due to living under constant threat of the Soviets and for some, living under them. Both Кино and Chernikovskaya Hata were from the USSR, so it makes sense that they have that kind of atmosphere alongside their instrumentation. I’m not quite sure it’s in the same vein but there were bands in Germany, Italy, and Poland with similar mood and musicality. I’m by no means an expert, but perhaps the songs below can provide something you’re looking for?
