The legendary leader who would conquer the unconquerable and solidify Ottoman dominance for the next 400 years. Even as a child, Mehmed was seen as incredibly bright. By the time he was 12, he was an expert in the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, mathematics, astronomy, languages, and military strategy. At this age, his faither, Murad II, had abdicated his throne, leaving young Mehmed in charge of the Ottoman Empire. Needless to say, this was a lot of pressure on a young child. Still, young Mehmed was eager to prove his worth. Until, of course, the Catholics, led by John Hunyadi, decided to Crusade the Ottomans. While Mehmed would defeat their first crusade, the victory wouldn’t last long. The Catholics broke their treaty, and in response, Mehmed tried to get his father to rule once more. Murad was enjoying the retired life, so he refused to become Sultan once more. At least, until Mehmed wrote him a letter that would become extremely famous in Turkish history. It is as follows. “If you are the sultan, come and lead your armies. If I am the sultan I hereby order you to come and lead my armies." It was only after his son’s questioning of his masculinity that Murad returned, but he would win the Battle of Varna, stopping Catholics from ever limiting Ottoman influence and growth in the Balkans. While Murad was planning on retiring soon after, some backstage politics forced Murad to keep his throne until his death in 1451. The moment after Murad’s burial, Mehmed, at the age of 19, began his planning for Constantinople. Even as a child (well, a younger one) all Mehmed wanted to do was take the city. In the Hadiths, Muhammad proclaims that one day the city will be taken for Islam, and the leader and that army were to be the greatest. During the time of the prophet, his companion Abu Ayyub al-Ansari had failed in taking the city. And, as a child, his mother asked him what he felt of the city, and Mehmed said it was the most beautiful city in the world, and that one day he would conquer it. Obviously, this goal was incredibly personal for Mehmed. While Constantinople was an important city economically, his own personal values were what seemed to have motivated him the most. For two years, he refused to speak with anyone unless it had something to do with the war. Eventually, on 29 May 1453, Mehmed took the city. The ripples of this action were felt throughout Europe. The taking of the city would force the Iberians to explore, creating the Age of Exploration and the Early Modern period in general. However, it was felt the hardest spiritually. Christendom had its greatest loss to that point. Rome had been destroyed, and a city incredibly important to God had been taken. It heralded the end of the world for the Christians. It also heralded the end of the world for Muslims. With the completion of Muhammad’s prophecy, many believed that they were entering the end times. Of course, to Mehmed, he was just happy to achieve what he had always dreamed off. Unfortunately, following the customs of the day, he let his army pillage the city for 3 days. One the fourth day, when the looting was to stop, Mehmed was left with an incredibly devastated city. He mourned not only the loss of the most beautiful city in the world, but the destruction of the legacy of Rome. After taking the city, he went into the Hagia Sophia, and claimed himself the Caesar of Rome, yet, he had let his army destroy such a bastion? He vowed to rebuild the city, rebuild Rome, and to never let this travesty happen again. Mehmed would rebuild Constantinople, making it a greater paradise than ever before, and would reforge Rome with his own hands. 10 years after taking Constantiople, he would visit the site of Troy, and would have a prayer for the Trojans. He proclaimed that he had defeated the Greeks (Byzantines) in the name of Rome and Troy, and as a fellow Roman, and hoped they would be proud of him. Mehmed had an incredibly successful military career, securing Albania, Serbia, Bosnia, the rest of Anatolia, parts of Greece held by Venetians, Morea, and Crimea. His most notable campaign was against Vladimir Tepes III, the leader of Wallachia. A monster of a man who refused to give tribute, and in response, killed the envoys by nailing turbans to their heads. Later, he attacked the Bulgarian and Serbian parts of the Ottoman Empire, killing everyone they came across, man, woman, child, peasant, noble, and everything in between. Actually, Vlad and Mehmed had some sort of relationship before this point. Vlad and his brother Radu were prisoners of Murad, and they had bonded on some level. Mehmed was especially fond of Radu, who would end up leading the Janissaries into Wallachia. By this time, Vlad had covered the entire region in impaled bodies, creating a forest of impalement. Upon seeing this, Mehmed would utter his famous phrase… “I fear no human, but The Devil is different.” The Ottomans would retreat from this horrific sight. Seeing such a radical change in the person he knew as a child was disheartening, but Mehmed didn’t spend too much time mourning it. While he initially wished to say goodbye to an old friend, Vlad was initially forced to flee into Hungary, where he was imprisoned. Eventually, Vlad would return to rule Wallachia, and Mehmed would get to say goodbye on the battlefield where Vlad perished. This encounter would warp Mehmed a bit, showing him how powerful the corruption of evil truly was. Mehmed eventually died in 1481, poisoned by his own son. He was planning on taking over Mecca and Medina, and proclaiming himself Caliph, something his son would get to accomplish. He doesn’t like to speak of his son, for obvious reasons. Mehmed was a man with little regrets in the end, but he still wished to create the paradise he had always wanted. Or maybe save that friend in the end. Truly, he was Roman down to his core. At higher ranks, it is also possible to remain for extended periods of time in this world without an established contract. It is possible for a Servant to stay in the world for two days without a Master. However, this is the ideal value achieved by maximally conserving mana and avoiding battle and Noble Phantasm usage Magic Resistance: C Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Cancel spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals. Personal Skills: Ghazi: A Initially a term applied to anyone fighting in an expedition or raid, but would eventually becoming a more specific term as Islam grew. In the time of the Ottomans, it would become a very specific term reserved only for Sultans who made conquests in the name of Islam. It was under the reign of Bayezid I that it specifically became a title that meant the Sultan was an “instrument of God.” As an “instrument of God,” Mehmed is little more than a weapon in Allah’s hands. His body is a perfected weapon that follows Allah’s will. In essence, the skill grants Mehmed’s a defense which nulls mental interference, curse effects, and status effects. As the Sultan that would complete the 800 year prophecy to take Constantinople, Mehmed is considered one of the greatest Ghazi. Imperial Privilege (Roman): EX An ability that, due to the insistence of the owner, Skills that are essentially impossible to possess can be obtained for a short period of time. In cases when the Rank is А or above, even the "burden to the body" can be acquired (such as Divinity). In regards to Mehmed II, skills such as Swordsmanship, Clairvoyance, Riding, Charisma, Charisma, Military Tactics, and so on can be gained. In essence, if it is something that a Roman Emperor can do, Mehmed feels he can do it just as well, if not better. It also has the effect of making Mehmed conceptually “Roman.” Symbolic Wisdom: B A tool (his glasses) crafted for Mehmed which symbolizes all the knowledge Mehmed had collected in life. As one of the Muslim’s greatest scholars, as a man who helped kickoff the Renaissance for Europe, Mehmed’s collection was immense. His sacking of Constantinople also gave him access to Ancient Roman texts. In essence, Mehmed is a super nerd in fields related to art, music, poetry, literature, and the occult.

Judgement Basillica
The Trumpet Blasts of the Fall Rank: B+ Type: Anti-Fortress/Anti-World Range: 1~99 Maximum Number of Targets: 3000 people Description: Constantinople. The City of the World’s Desire represented many things. It was an incredibly lucrative trade city, but it was more than that. It represented the power and legacy of Rome, an Empire which lasted over 1000 years. It represented the power of Christanity and served as its bulwark from Muslim influence. It represented Rome's legacy as Troy readvent, serving as an impenetrable city. Most importantly, in the eyes of Mehmed, it represented the greatest failure of Islam, and a correction that needed to be fixed. This Noble Phantasm is the crystallization of Mehmed destroying the impossible, the Walls of Byzantium. A cataclysmic event that signaled The End of Times for many, Christians and Muslims alike. The fall of Constantinople could only mean that the world was going to end. In essence, the Noble Phantasm is similar to a certain Japanese warlord. Mehmed can summon cannons and fire them, independently of him actually holding them or not. All of these cannons are glistening white, with carvings along them invoking images of the divine. In fact, they also seem slightly closer to trumpets than cannons. Instead of firing the traditional cannonball, they fire a white beam. If Constantiople was a city that was never to fall, then Mehmed’s Cannons are objects that designate something to “eventual destruction.” The more they’re hit, the closer this fate is enforced. In essence, they are a reverse Palladion. They also have the ability to bypass conceptual and weaker defense. The true power of the Noble Phantasm is revealed when the true name is released. A giant cannon hovers above Mehmed, and from it, an equally large laser is fired from it. It is this beam which truly embodies the Fall of Constantinople. Despite being a city with walls grander than even Troy, it was not enough to stop Mehmed’s siege. It is an attack which enforces “destruction” upon any sort of defense, while keeping the attack’s momentum and power uninhibited. While this Noble Phantasm bears the designation of “Anti-World,” it obviously doesn’t have enough power to destroy the planet. Instead, it destroys “inner worlds,” so Reality Marbles and things of that like. As the man who cut down the ever growing Tree for good, it is the only fitting Noble Phantasm for him.

In Restitutionem Novum
Let the Tree Flourish Once More Rank: B++ Type: Barrier/Anti-Evil Range: 1~40 Maximum Number of Targets: 500 Description: Mehmed was the man who cut down the infinitely growing tree of Rome. Yet, he was also the man who replanted the seed. From the remains of Constantinople, the remains of Rome, Mehmed would continue Rome again, making it last yet another 500 years. The tree that Romulus planted may have been cut down, but Mehmed would never let its legacy end. Romulus created a tree that would encapsulate Rome’s Past/Present/Future. Mehmed would create a wall to encapsulate Rome’s Past, Present, and New Future. Using the remnants of Constantiople’s walls, Mehmed formed a new set. If he had destroyed the walls of Troy 2, he would rebuild Troy 3’s walls to be even greater. This city was too grand to be destroyed again, so Mehmed would achieve this goal no matter what. The evils of the world would be repelled. The ambition of Mehmed’s new walls knew no limit. Not only was he forging Troy 3, creating a wall which embodied the entire history of Rome, but was meant to be a reflection of Alexander’s walls. In Islam, Alexander forges the wall that keeps Gog and Magog away from Civilization. While Gog and Magog were initially hordes, they eventually became synonymous with “Cataclysmic Evil.” An ambitious wall, equal only to its creator. Upon calling out the name of the Noble Phantasm, a wall covered in branches emerges from the ground, growing to a seemingly infinite height in order to protect. Just as Rome was the infinitely growing tree, Mehmed’s new Rome would be the same. The wall itself is clearly modeled after the Theodosian Walls. As the walls to protect from evil, those labeled as “evil” by Mehmed are rebelled away from the barrier upon activation, and are weakened the more they try to challenge the wall. It is a wall of rebirth, protection, and one ordained to survive. It has been over 500 years since their creation, and not once have the walls, nor the city, been truly challenged. It is the mirror to the Noble Phantasm used by his former friend. Ilze is effectively a blank slate most of the time. She has limited functions in regards to emotions, has a one track mind regarding her goal. With that in mind, she can best be described as incredibly pragmatic. The best and most efficient way to reach her goal is likely the one she’ll pick 9 times out of 10. However, isn’t that the case for most magi as is? Ilze doesn’t seem to take personal interest in anything outside of her work, though she seems capable of managing a conversation despite that. She seems to be skilled in negotiations and matters of diplomacy. This all most likely stems from her role within the family. Watching the seasons change seems to be the one thing that could really be considered a pastime. However, no matter how you want to say it, Ilze mostly acts like a generic mud puppet. This is because she is one. Her personality seems to completely change whenever her defect becomes relevant...

Issues with bright light. Can’t process pain. Inability to reproduce. Is more aggressive and sadistic when dealing with men. Whether this defect exists because of her heritage or otherwise is unknown.

Despite how barren Europe has become from millenia of deforestation, the forests still hide many secrets. No region in Europe has kept the same aura of mystery as the Slavic Lands. Deep within the forests of what can be referred to as Latvia, a giant tree is located. An absolutely massive tree, to the point where the entire forest surrounding the tree is but an extension of it. It is the Austras Koks, the World Tree. This tree dates back over 1000 years, and is a relic of the original Ozols family. The Ozols were a family of Shamans that eventually began to switch to Alchemy and the pursuit of [ ]. When this occurred is lost to time, as no records since before Austras Koks remain. What can be inferred is that whatever sparked this change led to the Ozols specializing in a bizarre method of homunculus creation. Based on the old concept of Mandrake and the popular theological idea that man was made from the ground, it became a popular idea that artificial life can be achieved in a method similar to farming. In introducing parts of the body to the virgin Earth, life can be created. The intention was to try to create the original man in an effort to reach [ ]. A bizarre and rare method of creating homunculi, but it was the one the Ozols ultimately specialized in. Even though they were a young family, the Ozols seemed to be gaining some notability, and it was during the very tail end of the first millenium that Austras Koks was created. The family seemed to have a bright future in front of them. Of course, until The Northern Crusades. A series of wars held during the late 1100s and early 1200s against the Baltic States. The mission was to convert the land and slaughter heretics. This was the last bastion of “Satan” in Europe, the last region to not know the grace of God and his son, Jesus Christ. For centuries the natives would fight against attempts at conversion, eventually, the Old Faith would be nearly wiped away completely. Of course, the Ozols should have been fine. However, by either poor luck or karmic backlash, the Ozols were caught in between, and every member of the family had been killed. The once aspiring Ozols had been eradicated. There should have been no hope for this family. Much like a majority of those within this land, they too should have faded away with the sands of time. Thankfully, it never occured to the crusaders to cut down the giant tree. Austras Koks, the family’s attempt at recreating the World Tree, or Tree of Life, had survived. Sprouting from Austras Koks was the terminal created to control the tree, much like a certain Old Man Golem in Germany, Astaāboliņš. Programmed to continue producing homunculi in the search for [ ], the terminal continued the job as the new effective head of the Ozols. It would be under his leadership that the Ozols would be saved, but in return, would become known as a famous family of hermits. However, beyond even that, under Astaāboliņš, a new addition was added to their method of homunculi creation. It was also believed that man was created from the combination of animals. Through combining parts of animals with each other, or with modern man, the “original” man could be born. However, many magi who have attempted this method were disgusted, and vowed never to return to it. Whether the very idea of it was repulsive, or their creations were absolute monstrosities, many lesser magi could not continue with this concept. This didn’t phase Astaāboliņš and the family continued in this direction. However, this has only further added onto the Ozols reputation. While this idea isn’t banned or even taboo, it is generally looked down upon and viewed as a boorish technique in the noble art of alchemy. The only organization that has any real issues with them is the Prague Association. This was only further escalated a century or so ago when a member of the Prague Association wandered onto the Ozols’ territory to challenge one to a duel. He did not return home. Since then, the Ozols have been a family of recluse homunculi, though they are often viewed like a small organization. Within the family is a clear hierarchy, with those being born from Austras Koks itself are the highest, with those born of other trees seen as lesser. There are separate sections of Austras Kok, with each one producing a different type of human-hybrid. Pure animal hybrids are only produced on other trees. Despite keeping minimal interactions with the outside world, the Ozols have created a reputation for themselves. Their homunculi, though being somewhat look down upon, are seen as among the highest quality in the world. There have been efforts by some elites to create a more direct line of communication with the family, but it almost always rests on deaf ears. Outside of important formalities with the Association, they have next to no interactions with others. The only exception to this seems to be the von Nettesheim family in recent years. Ilze herself has even met the current head of the family. They are technically the Second Owners of their land, but this is mostly because the Association never believed it worth it to remove the tree.

Ilze was the greatest success out of her year’s harvest. Coincidentally, she ended up among the highest quality homunculi in the family’s history, with minimal defects at that. After a few years of doing the normal work of an Ozols, creating more homunculi and other minor alchemic pursuits, she was given a promotion of sorts. Due to the passing of the previous “ambassador” in a strange accident (It involved a bear, a sled, and a night that has been systematically altered from the memories of most of the family), Ilze was allowed to become the newest “ambassador” of the Ozols family. Koksauleturas is the family’s name of this designation and is one of the highest honors that can be given within the family. This also elevated her to be the next in line in case anything was to happen to Austras Koks, but considering the entire family would die before that, it is a meaningless role. Effectively, this meant she would be the one dealing with the Association when it was needed. She still spends most of her time within the family’s forest, but ends up leaving it more often than the rest. Interestingly enough, during her brief meetings with the Association and her visits to Clock Tower, she has managed to catch the attention of those within the Creation Department and the Botany Department. Ilze has yet to respond to their various letters, but she likely will respond to the Creation Department within the next decade or so. She isn’t quite sure if the Botany Department is worth it considering how little relevance it seems to hold. Originally, Ilze was not meant to be sent on this mission. She was deemed too valuable to be wasted on this, however, Ilze volunteered for the role. Why that is unknown, but Ilze claims it has something to do with the location and river. It probably has something to do with her sadistic tendencies.
--- Magic Circuit Switch: They're a living circuit. A specialty that focuses on combining different things, but still producing a greater whole. Just as plants can complete their processes even in unfavorable conditions, combining things that aren’t “optimal” with each other will still produce a favorable result. Magecraft: Association Basics: What you, yes you, would expect a magus to know. Alchemy: Alchemy is, on a basic level, just the transmutation of matter. An incredibly common subset of mageraft, known on an incredibly basic level to most magi worth anything. Despite that fact, it is one of the most varied foundations of them all. The Ozols’ alchemy is mostly centered around their method of homunculi creation. It can be easily said that when it comes to their method of creation, they’re the absolute best. Of course, this isn’t saying much considering how rarely it is used. Outside of the creation of homunculi, the Ozols’ Alchemy relies upon the world itself and their Shaman roots as a base. Alchemists from the family have great compatibility when using plants and the like, but anything artificial is practically useless to them. Shamanism The old ways of the Slavic people. A magical foundation centered around communing with spirits and interacting with the natural world. An isolated and unpopular foundation, the modern practitioners of it usually have it a part of their crest from an earlier time. Things like curses and spiritual healing are included within it, but neither are things the Ozols family truly specializes in. The family’s true specialty with their Shamanism is their ability to interact with the spirits. Spiritual Evocation: The art of summoning spirits. It is likely this is what the original Ozols made use of when they worked as local Shamans..Specifically, they are incredibly skilled at working with the demons of their homeland. Why that is, of course, remains lost to time. Were they potentially dark shamans in the past…? Succubus: As a homunculus made with the parts of a Succubus, Ilze has been given the abilities of a Succubus. These include increased regeneration, reflexes, and coordination. Ilze can manipulate the dreams of others and can use the energy gained to sustain herself. Most notably, she can store excess magus semen within her body and can release it like a jet. Succubi normally have eternal youth, but as Ilze is a homunculus and stuck the way she was created, it is unknown whether she has this trait or not. Magic Crest: Homunculi are programmed with what they need Mystic Codes Fire Skull Posts: Based on the ones kept outside of the house of the Baba Yaga in slavic folklore. Created using oak carved to appear like bone and the skulls of child homunculi, the main purpose of these post is the creation of a territory. In creating a perimeter with them, the area inside becomes ideal for “A Slavic Magus.” Within the skulls of the posts is a stone based one of the many Slavic flaming stones. This allows the skulls to glow, and trespassers who get too close are engulfed by their flames. Finally, they seem to naturally draw people closer towards them. This isn’t a magical effect, rather, it appears their very existence is something that pulls humans in, akin to a natural bounded field. As Ilze is part Succubus, this isn’t actually something she worries about She keeps one of these as a personal weapon of sorts, modified to use the flame within the skull as an attack. Apples: A stock of apples, each filled with numerous amounts of wraiths. This is based on an practice where apple trees would be planted over graves as they were believed to be able to capture the souls of the departed. Primitive Life Seeds: The one major thing developed by Ilze. These are based upon an old Slavic belief that rain was the semen of a God, as it mixing with the Earth is what creates life. Through throwing these seeds onto the Earth and pouring rain water upon them, absurdly weak homunculi are given birth. They lack any form of real intelligence, but are capable of following Ilze’s orders. They aren’t very strong either, as they could easily be killed by even a below average magus competent enough. These are just the first stage of Ilze’s vision. In the future, she believes she’ll be able to create a level of homunculi on par with the family average via this method. A lot of magus semen. Like a lot. Even Medb would blush. Materials which belonged to Fairies, Imps, Strzyga and other such Slavic creatures. A small world tree which was a part of Austras Koks, which allows it to quickly alter the land, making an ideal location to rapidly create homunculi. Since they’re made quickly, their lifespan is only a couple of weeks, but this is fine considering they’re unneeded after the war. Non-Magical Abilities and Items: Despite her appearance, her body is incredibly strong, coming from being a high quality product and her heritage. Understands the basics of CQC. Capable of incredibly high speed calculations. Lots of tubs filled with rain water. A personal cantina for some of the water. Lots of nature she has brought from home. Pouches to carry these objects while on her person. An absurd amount of funds.
