From a young age, the girl was used to being in the spotlight to a certain extent, although she didn't necessarily enjoy the experience. More often than not, she'd shy away from cameras and would only be in pictures whenever her parents would pressure her until she would give in. Despite the long family tradition of holding office in one form or another, Alejandra was never fully convinced it was the right decision for her. Instead, she sought to serve the public in a more humble manner. Throughout her teenage years, Alejandra grew interested in a law enforcement career. She took a basic course and it was then she realized she could easily see herself doing police work. After completing her education, Alejandra went ahead and submitted her paperwork. Her parents weren't all that happy with her decision, but she advised them that it wasn't her intention to please them with the decisions she made in life. Some time passed and Alejandra received a phone call telling her she was moving forward through the selection process. She made sure she did everything right every step along the way to avoid being knocked out by the competition, and in the end, it paid off. Alejandra would go on to the training phase where after long months of work, she graduated top of her class. After a couple of years doing basic police work, Alejandra went on to become a negotiator. She'd been given the green light by her supervisor and she went through additional training. During that phase, she attended various medical courses. The mindset was that the negotiator on scene could tend to injured individuals if the medics couldn't get to them. Alejandra did very well in her classes, and once she finished her training, she joined the elite unit. The young woman was welcomed with open arms and right away embraced her new position. Alejandra was on call on one of her nights off. She was reading a book when her cell phone rang, and she picked it up to receive the news of a suicidal adolescent standing on one of the ledges in his apartment building. She immediately got dressed and rushed to the scene, arriving to find a crowd complete with various media networks. Alejandra rushed under the tape and asked her uniform counterparts the fastest way to reach the boy before hurrying upstairs. That night, Alejandra's life would forever change. The boy, whose name was Máximo, jumped to his death after interacting with her for only a few minutes. The aftermath of the incident was disastrous for Alejandra. She received death threats, was harassed by some people in public blaming her for the boy's death, and even her parents received some nasty letters addressed to their office. Given the problem wasn't going away, the first day back at work since the incident Alejandra was advised she could put in for a transfer to whichever location she desired. But Alejandra only went into work that morning to resign. She was completing some paperwork that morning and that afternoon, she enlisted in the army. Alejandra's parents, once again, pleaded with her to not go through with her decision, but the woman wouldn't budge. Given her experience, her recruitment process went smoothly. They only questioned her previous resignation, asking why she was running away. Alejandra let them know she wasn't running away, but she would not be in a position where her parents could possibly suffer because of her actions. Once she joined, Alejandra made her choice to become an intelligence officer. She received intensive field training, not only working with her peers but learning how to lead them as well. To add to the hands-on training, Alejandra was taught how to be proficient with a computer, going well above the skillset of an average person. There were a lot of stressful nights for Alejandra, but she persevered through her hardships, managing to grab the attention of a few high ranking officers. She was a natural on the field, appearing level-headed where others possibly wouldn't do as well. Eventually, upon her graduation, Alejandra was given her first assignment. She did some work in Kosovo for a few months before returning back to Spain. A year or so later she was out again, this time serving in Africa for additional classified work. During her time there, she was presented with an invitation to join Rainbow and given her desire to continuing bettering herself, she accepted the position. [/hider]
