[indent]The Sadamaki clan subsisted mostly on agriculture and trade with other villages, which was stopped by the trees sprouted by Kaguya. During this time they lived in a time of poverty due to the lack of trade coming in, which resulted in them finding other ways of making ends meet. They formed a militia and began offering services to the other villages as a mercenary group, earning additional money and useful items like food and tools in exchange.[/indent][/indent]

[indent]The Sadamaki clan remained neutral when faced with the feud between Asura and Indra, and preferred to continue studying ninjutsu on their own after having learned it. With this valuable tool they enhanced their mercenary capabilities, and began wandering, the clan splitting in two -- the shinobi and the civilians, who supported the shinobi. 

With the wandering shinobi being out and about performing missions and tasks for strangers over a much larger area now, the clan started becoming richer and established themselves as the de facto ruler of a small area in the land of mud, which would later become Amegakure.[/indent][/indent]

The only ones that can contend -- militarily -- with the Sadamaki clan at this point are the two other powerhouses, which they have feuded with for years on end now.[/indent][/indent][/hider]
