Well that depends on what you mean by basic ring design. Functionally, all Power Rings function relatively the same. The uniforms can differ greatly as they are constructs in a sense. But the actual power rings themselves, will remain pretty standard, with the only real alterations being to accomodate different species. There may be alternate rings for members of Honour Guard, Alpha Lanterns, Lantern Sentinels, Clarissi, Illustres, or Cryptkeeper. Though no one should be starting in these roles.
