Aspects of his quirk can be seen at his elbows and knees: these limbs flare out conically before meeting at the joints.[/indent]

[indent]Kasenmaru is chummy and a bit of a playboy. He uses confidence, charm, and humor to get by in most situations, belying his critical mind and mathematical intelligence. However, Kasenmaru also tends to be irreverent and doesn't take many things seriously, often taking the joke too far to the point of rubbing others the wrong way. Though he is not rebellious, he does not blindly accept authority, which can lead to problems with teachers and police. He can sometimes come off as an intellectual elitist, and refuses to tolerate the 'ignorant'. Kasenmaru is also reckless, despite his intelligence.[/indent]

[indent]Some surmise that were it not for the advent of quirks and the chaos that followed, humanity would have already gone into space. However, this has not stopped some countries from at least trying to make inroads into the final frontier. Though the countries that have made the most progress are the US and Russia, Japan has, with the help of the US, been making incremental progress. For those who keep up with scientific news, the Oozora's (Oozora Subaru and Hoshimachi Suisei) are a rocket science power couple, leading the nation's space projects. Thus, Kasenmaru was born to two fairly famous scientists working for Japan's fledgling space program, and has become a bit of a small-time celebrity in his own right. Kasenmaru was raised with a strong intellectual upbringing and progressive values.  He was taught to question dogma, embrace individualism, and connect with people from different walks of life. His parents encouraged him to sate his curiosity without boundaries, except for safety. It became apparent from a young age that Kasenmaru was naturally gifted, both physically and mentally, and it seemed that no aspiration was beyond his grasp, no future beyond his potential. Like many others his age, he wanted to become a hero and felt that he had the quirk and the brains to be an effective one, using his unique understanding of rocket science and projectiles. After all, he was capable, and already somewhat used to the limelight. But he wanted to push himself, and despite the prestige that would have come from attending UA, Kasenmaru felt he could truly challenge himself at Ishin Academy.[/indent]

[indent]Kasenmaru is a bit like Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, minus the extreme snarkiness and god complex. Having had much of his life handed to him on a silver platter, and with his mental and physical talents helping him through challenges, Kasenmaru has faced very few real obstacles in his life. A person's true quality only shows when they overcome obstacles, and this is something Kasenmaru needs to learn how to wrestle with; how to deal with failure. Though Kasenmaru is friendly, he subconsciously looks down on others due to his intelligence, and needs to learn real teamwork. His quirk also requires a lot of fine-tuning, training, and specialized equipment before it can unleash its full potential.[/indent]

[indent]Kasenmaru's quirk is called, [color=662d91][u][b]Rocketman[/b][/u][/color]. His arms are detachable at his elbows, and his legs are detachable his knees. His torso, forearms, and calves also contain vacuous chambers. Detached arms and legs can propel themselves by firing high pressure liquid stored in the chambers (like bottle rockets) from a nozzle at the points of separation. The body, meanwhile also has four nozzles, one at the tip of each arm and leg stump. Techniques include the classic rocket punch, rocket kick, and flying the torso around like a cross between a four-way amputee Iron Man and a quadrocopter. He can increase his rocket power by drinking soda instead of water, and even further by incorporating Mentos (TM). His quirk relies on him drinking large quantities of liquid (the fuel for his rockets) to fill his chambers prior to hero activity. He can also just use the nozzles to fire water jets for ranged combat and firefighting purposes.
