Her stern, wary expression didn't fade, however, her eyes remaining on Paige even as the Auror gave his little lecture. Once he was done, Fae wanted to mention to the man that Paige had entered their cabin in the middle of the lockdown, which to her was suspicious, but she kept her mouth shut. There was a bigger chance than not that Paige's excuse for being out and about was true - she had enough of a knack for making courageously stupid decisions to make Fae question why she wasn't in Gryffindor - and Fae was a big believer in the 'snitches get stitches' philosophy. She didn't need a grown-up stepping in to handle her personal grudges. So instead, she looked up to the man and simply nodded in understanding. "I'm just bein' cautious, Fred. These are scary times. Anyone could be one of 'em," she said, a harsh bite in the word 'anyone' as she glanced back over at Paige. She raised an eyebrow as the boy quickly stepped in to defend Paige. "Fine, whatever. I just hope you're thinking with your brain and not with your-" Fae cut herself off, glancing over to the children in the compartment with them, quickly amending what she'd been planning on saying. "...Feelings." She leaned back in her seat, eyes still on Paige. When the ginger spoke up, telling Fae off, her eyebrows furrowed, and her lips pursed into a defined frown. She leaned forward, gearing up to spit insults back at the other girl, when Elizabeth spoke up. Her friend's words caused her to let out a huff from her nose, much akin to a bull about to strike, but she sat back, looking at Paige. "No need to get personal there, gingersnap. This ain't about me and you. I'm just tryin' to protect the kids," she said, though her words were only partially true. She did want to protect the kids, but had it been Maddie, or Penny, or Mary and the twins who popped in, she wouldn't have been nearly as harsh.
