Agreed. It was something closer to alchemy than science, but she wasn't about to correct her on that. Alchemy was a precursor to chemistry anyways. She was right about one thing though - this wasn't supposed to be a fight that they could win. The anger and rage at the Surfer hurting Pietro and her friends was fueling Guin at the moment, feeding into her confidence. They were going to find a way to win this - they just needed to be clever. "Wait - don't!" Guin shouted as Beth told Sara to copy her power and use it to go into the containment device around the nullifier. Sara was rather petite, but the nullifier was extremely small and it wasn't that large of a case around it - would she even fit? Guin winced, instinctively closing her eyes slightly as she didn't want to witness Sara's death. She opened them again a second later, relieved to see that Sara was outside of the containment case. The Surfer had saved her. Her stomach felt a bit like it was twisted up in knots. If Sara had died that way... it would have been a brutal way to go. She bit her lip slightly. Pietro didn't have much luck phasing through to grab the device either. A shockwave then flew Guin backwards and she slammed against the ground. Even though she had an Iron Man suit on, it was still enough of an impact that her back would likely be bruised for days. As she lifted her head and forced herself back up to her feet, she could see Thor trying to shatter the case and Lance - no, the Hulk - fighting the Surfer hand to hand. Mira managed to take down the containment field and Guin broke out into a grin - now they just needed to grab the thing and ask Mister Fantastic to beam them out of there. "Shit! I've got this, everyone else focus on getting the device or backing up Hulk Jr!" Guin shouted, rushing over to Mira. Her vital signs were incredibly low and Guin wasn't a doctor. However, she knew a few things about the heart. Her father still had a glorified pacemaker of his own - the arc reactor - keeping him alive. Pepper and Happy had made sure she knew a few quick solutions to try growing up, just in case something happened. "Alright, to correct a pacemaker I need to find a way to give you external pulses," she mumbled. "Luckily for you, you're encased in Stark tech, which happens to be my mother tongue..." She then started accessing her heads up display panel, quickly working to send command code to Mira's suit. It took her a few seconds, but she managed to get the electric pulses running. The vital scans then showed that Mira's heart rate was beginning to recover. "Alright, rhythm seems to be restored..."

Neil Spellman

Location: Galactus' Ship - Central Room Skills: Minor Molecular Combustion, Telekinesis
Neil's chest constricted painfully as he watched Sara copy Beth's abilities and shadow travel her way inside of the containment case. He couldn't make himself look away, seeing how she was trapped in a space too small for her to occupy - but there was then a silver blur and their enemy, of all people, had saved her. He let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding, his hands trembling as he realized that he had watched his girlfriend almost die. The mission became all the more real to him. This wasn't just a danger room exercise. The Silver Surfer was most likely the most powerful foe the X-Men had faced. His fear only increased as Lance, the Hulk, went on a rampage against the Silver Surfer. Did Lance know who was his enemy? Would the Hulk turn on them and start pounding easier targets? Neil wanted to run away, to steal a pod and escape to some other planet. He was just a kid expected to save the world. He could scarcely breathe as Annie pointed out that they could grab the device and its containment case now. He didn't want Sara or anyone else to try traveling inside of it again. He didn't want to think about the likelihood that Mira was going to die right now, with her pacemaker failing. "I've got it." Neil concentrated, ripping the device and its case over towards him with his telekinesis. As soon as the case was in his hand, he used his control over combustion to blow the cage apart, allowing him to retrieve the nullifier from within. Without a moment's hesitation, he aimed the device at the Silver Surfer. "Stand down," he said, trying his best to sound confident and stern. "Or I'll use this."
