If you want there is a 3.5 DnD play by post in the workings on the Discord.  Several of the folks in it (me included) are pretty inexperienced but we have two members (Polymorpheus and Harbinger) who are pretty experienced so it should be smooth sailing.

Only character I know of so far is a gnome.  Harb will likely be something like a Tabaxi and while I haven't really decided yet I'll probably end up some variation of a Halfling.

There are often Warhammer RPs being made as well, that might cater better to your interest in Horror.  JB tends to make them.
