She landed hard on her back, her head slamming back hard against the cold metal floor. It dazed her, eyes squeezing shut as throbbing pain drowned out any coherent thoughts. For a few split seconds, she forgot where she was and what was happening. But as she blinked a few times, the pain dulled to an ever present throbbing quiet enough for her to hear herself think. As she pushed herself wobbly off the floor, her memories came back to her. She'd done her job, blocking Mira from the Surfer's blast. It had hurt like hell, but at least Mira was oka- Her eyes widened as she caught glance of Mira on the ground, surrounded by some of the others. Iris rushed over to them, though her walk was unstable, her mind feeling somewhat detached from her body after the blow to her head. She watched standing over Mira as Guin appeared to be fiddling with Mira's suit. When Annie said Iris' name, it took her a few seconds to even comprehend that she was being spoken to. But then, she lifted her head, giving a nod. "Uh, yeah, can do," she said, turning her head to look towards the encased device, only to see Neil already grabbing it, tearing it open with his abilities as though it were a birthday present. Iris watched the exchange, with Neil holding the Nullifier, and the Surfer speaking, before disappearing in a shimmer like a magic disco ball. As he did, the helmet around Iris' head lowered, revealing her pale blonde hair soaked in sticky scarlet. She reached her hand back behind her head, lightly tapping the injury, before bringing it in front of her eyes. "I...think I might have a concussion..." she mumbled. She'd never had a concussion, so she wasn't sure, but her brain felt like it was pounding against the back of her skull, and she was feeling lightheaded. Her eyes drifted to Marygold as she spoke, causing Iris to groan. "We're not done?" she said in annoyance, her lips curved down in a pout. But she dropped any other complaints that might've gathered in her head as a light surrounded them, and they appeared outside Stark Tower. Iris furrowed her eyebrows with distaste at the crumbling city around them. New York wasn't her home. She didn't even like the place. But seeing it in such disrepair made her swell with pity. She looked over to Mary as she explained what needed to be done, then to Guin as she weighed in. "I'm not sure if more of us would make us more threatening. After all, he's afraid of the gizmo, not us." Iris replied, before her eyes scanned the group, looking to see if Mira made it back with them. Her eyes eventually fell on the girl's limp body, in the arms of an unfamiliar robot. She didn't think to question it. "Does Mira need medical attention right away, or should we wait until the world's saved?" as she asked it, her voice was lined with concern.
