With ruby red eyes and flowing brown hair, Jade is a striking figure. She works to ensure that she is fit and slim, not wanting to fall into any kind of state where she doesn’t appreciate or maintain her own body properly. Jade has a height of 5’5, and a weight of 125lbs. Additionally, because of her power backfiring uncontrollably the first time she used it, she has a pair of large canine ears as well as a canine tail, both furred the same colour as her hair.

Jade is a calm individual that treats things playfully. She is a compassionate, kind young woman who places a lot of trust in her allies and in her friends. Jade believes that anyone is able to change, even the most evil, most vile of people, however she understands that even though they are [i]able[/i] to change, it is more likely than not that they [i]won’t[/i] change, and so she is not against putting someone down with force - she just prefers that they attempt to make the individual surrender first if that is an option. She can often be a little blinded, seeing someone as less of a threat than they actually are if they try to fool her, however she is smart enough to not be unprepared for such an encounter.

[b]Backstory[/b]
With a fascination in the human mind, Jade believed that she was going to go into a field that involved psychology. She was entertained by how different everyone’s mind was, and how people were able to completely change themselves by their own will or by their experiences. It was absolutely fascinating to her, to the point where she started to perform extreme mental exercises on herself to push her mind to its limits, as far as it could go each time. She stimulated her mind in all sorts of ways, from pleasure to pain, until finally she had enough - of herself. That was when her Feral Mind first kicked in, causing her to violently tear through her own room and then, by extension, charge through her house. Her body changing didn’t help, she internally panicked as she went from a bird to a bull to a werewolf before she finally collapsed.

Jade ended up waking up in a hospital, with several new appendages, and without a home; it had apparently collapsed due to her charging through a wall at some point in an uncontrollable rage. It took a lot of time for Jade to adjust to her new abilities, as well as new parts of her ‘human’ body. It hurt her a lot to know she had gained such new features, and for the first few days after having gotten comfortable with her powers tried to get rid of them, and eventually just got used to them and started to like having them. She thought that the new set of ears and the tail suited her look.

Once the young woman was discharged from the hospital, with nowhere else to go, she ended up joining H.E.R.O. After all, she didn’t have anywhere else to go. She figured she may as well learn to use the abilities she had for good, as well as make sure she had people around her that understood, people that were at least somewhat like her in that they had powers, too.

[b]Power[/b]
Animal Nature: Jade is able to transform into any animal that she wishes, including aquatic and avian animals. This power stretches slightly into the unknown world, allowing her to transform into such creatures as werewolves and phoenixes if she so wishes. As a supplement to this power she can also form natural alliances with and communicate with animals. This power alone is not of great significance, however Jade also possesses the ability to unlock the feral part of her mind, and enable a portion of it to overcome her natural mind. This significantly increases her speed and durability, however depending on how much of her feral mind she wishes to unlock can start losing focus on her actual goal and end up as little more than an animal in mind. This ability comes with no timer, however she can tire herself out of her feral mind, bringing her back to normal. Additionally, if she is put to sleep or knocked out, she is also knocked out of her feral mind, which locks itself back up. This ability also, if she unlocks too much of her feral mind, may cause her to lose perception on who her allies are and who her enemies are, causing her to attack both if she can’t discern the difference, or is pushed too far to care.
