If you prefer being called Medic, I'll stick by that. Sounds like everyone here has their own codename, guess I shouldn't be surprsied by the General." Alexander said in a friendly manner to Medic, looking up at him and smiling sheepisly. More than anything it was himself he was smiling at, the pain ever present but the situation feeling surreal. And wet. Alexander was still sitting in the wet spot in the middle of the room, whatever cleaning appliance softening his bum. "If you'll excuse me, I'd like to sit somewhere else and be miserable." Alexander placed his prostethic leg further behind him, moving back towards a wall by scootching backwards with his arms until he could lean his head back against the cold wall. Leaning back was in itself relieving for his head, but the cold helped too, like placing a cloth of cold water on your forehead when you had a fever. Looking up at Medic, he was still seeing no stars, planets or birds flying past him like in a cartoon, only hearing Medic start talking about Rolodox's rocky relationship with the Hospital. It didn't take long for the old veteran to figure out why that was. Mugsy wasn't sure how he was supposed to respond to Medic's tale. Rolodex, or Sandra as she had introduced herself as, had seemed a fine lady when they got introduced earlier that day. So the thought that she had decided to run a gurney race in the middle of the street conflicted with that first impression. Alexander finally decided to chuckle at the mental image of Rolodex sliding down on a gurney, perhaps glad to imagine that it wasn't only the youth who could have fun. "If I'd said I've never done anything like what she did, I'd be a liar, but I get why the hospital don't like her anymore. She sounds like an 'amusing' lady, if anything. Not me though, can't remember if I ever watched that show back then…" Alexander pondered, cut short of elaborating on his own antics by the aforementioned gurney carried in by Thalia and Rolodex. "Hey girls, good to see you both again. I'm okay. Don't think anything's broken besides my pride. Still hurts like a son-of-a…" Alexander began to tell the two ladies, halting his sentence as he looked up at Rolodex and finished the swearing inside his head - There was a lady in the room. Judith had knocked some social sense into him in the end, so he chuckled again and shook his head instead. "I'm fine, I think. Medic wanted to run some tests on me, didn't you? Hope the gurney wasn't brought in in vain, or what?" ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[row][/row][row][cell]
Nigel Cooper
Location: Underwater Garden (U) -> M5 Skills: N/A [/cell][cell] [/cell][/row]
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Nigel pushed the cart forwards the best he could, trying to keep the pace slow and steady as not to tire himself out too quickly like an overzealous maniple advancing towards the Greek city walls. Step by step the two of them and the cart got up up outside the pier, sun shining down upon them and drying up the saltwater on Nigel's skin. "Sportacus, no…no way near." Nigel sighed in response, hanging his head forwards as the time had finally come. He had figured he would have to explain the name sooner or later, and though Thana had been -mostly- nothing but friendly to him, the origin of his nickname was still a source of shame for the neo-Roman. "No, Sportacus was the pet-name two of my former companions, if I can call them that, decided to name me when we first met. A combination of Spartacus the slave-rebellion leader and that blue guy from the kids show we watched in Quarantine…I guess the name's stuck, eh?" Nigel admitted in defeat to Thana the Athenian, stopping the cart once on level ground and turning to unzip and roll down the wetsuit as she had. A deep breath of salty air and feeling his chest released of pressure, Nigel turned back to the cart, the look of defeat turning to a smirk. "Anyway, I suppose I would be Mars then. God of war, securer of Peace and Father of the People. No city though, sadly." Onwards Nigel pressed on, pushing the cart with more ease now on flat ground and moving onto the main roads of CMB. Without spilling the buckets of seafood, Nigel was glad to hear that his little plan for sparring wasn't an unreasonable one. If Thana said it was possible, Nigel would give it a shot. "Roy or Major, duly noted. I'll get around to ask them once I have some time off. I figure knowing how to wield a sword isn't viewed as too much of an archaic art here? Never liked guns, to be honest." It was then that noticed the same as Thana, seeing someone with Hunter's dog and taking her away. It felt odd, knowing how attached nervous Hunter was to that dog. Not much could be made of it, however. Nigel wasn't going to rush over and her the woman taking Hunter, leaving Thana alone with the cart. Besides she had a visitor in the form of Ash who made efforts to stay at a short distance. Given Nigel had already gotten somewhat used to the manure in the gardens, Ash wasn't too bad. "We're taking some seafood to Mess Hall. I'm just being Thana's little helper, doing what she tells me to do. It's like Babylon down there." Nigel answered Ash briefly, acknowledging that it was Thana he was coming to talk to, not him. But he appreciated being included. While they would talk, Nigel payed half-attention and kept looking around them.
