The world mirrors that of the one we live in today, although more technological advancements clearly place this setting in a near future. Despite all of the progress the world has made for a brighter tomorrow, the environment has begun to suffer as a result of the innovation. Where trees once soared high now stand factories for mass production, infringing on the natural habitats of wildlife across the globe. Animals of the jungle have begun to dwindle and disappear and endangered species are becoming the subject of myths and legends. In the Spring of 2034, Dr. Charles Wayman, a famous scientist and PhD of Animal Science, was in a terrible predicament. His research had been grounded in the social behaviors of wildlife for over two decades- he spent years exploring abroad in the plains and savannas of Africa in order to better understand how predators and prey managed to coexist. However, with his subjects of study vanishing before his eyes, he yearned for a new research topic that would once again propel him into academic glory; a new experiment that would allow him to unlock the answers that the science community was yearning for. It wasn’t until Dr. Wayman stumbled upon the thesis of Dr. James Hagerty that an idea of his next project came to mind. Hagerty’s writings compared human emotions and relationships to that of those in the jungle and savanna and went into great depth regarding the physical and emotional connections between the two breeds of human and animal. This planted the seeds for Dr. Wayman’s new purpose. What if the hierarchies of the animal kingdom were tested in the power structure and social hierarchy of human teenagers? And thus Project Untamed was born. Over a grueling year and a half, Dr. Wayman’s grand plan began to slowly but surely come into fruition. He hired Dr. Hagerty to be his partner for this experiment and subsequently brought on a team of experts to oversee the medical and technical aspects of the project. Dr. Wayman then pulled a few strings with the help of governmental funding and secured an abandoned boarding school campus that sat on 20 acres of rich plains in New Mexico. He filled the various buildings with dormitories, classrooms, and recreational equipment as well as testing labs, observatories, and medical offices. With the wheels in motion, only one thing was left: his research subjects. The process was complex, but through trial and error a system was created. Through various methods, Dr. Wayman and Dr. Hagerty acquired 50 teenagers that would become their “lab rats”, if you will. Some came from orphanages and foster homes, others were given up by their parents due to unpaid debts, and a few were sent away for juvenile detention. Their memories were completely wiped- everything they once knew vanished and left behind was an empty canvas. Once a clean slate, doctors and scientists rewired their personalities through the manipulation of mental and emotional traits. The teenagers were exposed to imagery, sounds, and subliminal messages in order to solidify their place in the animal hierarchy. As a result of the process, the teens began to act in specific ways. Human in presence, but like their animal in nature. Their personalities mirrored that of their animal- predators, confident and prey, meek. They were forced to believe this was their reality and their actions confirmed it. During this trial period they were fed specific diets that resembled that of their animal and were athletically trained to isolate specific muscles in their body based on their animal’s physical makeup. The teenagers remember nothing of the training or their past, but when they became conscious after the month long training period, all they knew was that they were being sent off to boarding school. There, they will be observed, watched, exposed to specific scenarios that will test them and let their true colors shine. Every aspect of the scenario is controlled. Every part, that is, except their behavior. That is up to them. This is where our story begins. The “students” have been living in close quarters for roughly two months at San Agustin Academy. The animal hierarchy has already made itself apparent in the social structure of the school campus, but you don't seem to notice as you attempt to navigate the woes and tribulations of teenage life. Still… there's something that feels fictitious about this all, but you can’t put your finger on it. You ignore the feeling inside that you can’t remember life before this and focus on the present. But, as most stories exhibit, all will be revealed in due time. I do understand that sometimes life gets in the way- if this is your situation, please communicate that to me and the rest of the group so we can make it work. ✸ Maximum 3 characters total per player. This may change as time goes on, but this is the limit I'm setting for now. ✸ Please think about your commitments before you join! If you don’t think you’ll be able to do this, that’s okay, but don’t join if you won’t be able to contribute quality writing. ✸ On the flipside please don’t over-post! I’m hopeful that people are going to get into the story and enjoy writing. However, we are a team here and I want to give everyone a chance to develop their characters and the storyline. Once you post, give at least two other character posts or a few days before you post something again (unless you are posting for a different character). ✸ If you’ve read this thoroughly, tell me what your favorite fast food item is! My personal favorite is cheesy bread from Dominos, it’s life changing with Ranch. A close second is a Shamrock shake with french fries. ✸ Collabs are encouraged but not required. They’re a great way to build subplots and add to the story at a faster pace! ✸ When creating a character, please keep in mind the gender and animal ratio. If you see that a lot of people are making male characters, make a female character! Or if you see that a lot of people are choosing a similar type of animal, go for something different! ✸ I cannot stress enough how important it is to communicate! I will create a Discord for us to discuss the plot, characters and such. Please use it! Not only is it a fun way to interact with everyone, it will allow you to immerse yourself in the story and further the plot. ✸ The goal I’d like to set is at least 2 paragraphs per character post. Yes, this is a casual roleplay, but let’s strive to be creative and produce quality work! They are in between the ages of 16 and 18 and have no memories or recollection of their past. All they know is that they woke up one morning, conscious of their surroundings and aware of the fact they were going to boarding school in New Mexico. They are unaware of the fact that they represent a specific animal, but their mannerisms, personality, and actions say otherwise. Keep in mind that they are completely human in mind and body, not animals, however their personality traits resemble that of a specific animal in the animal kingdom for the purposes of the experiment. As well, we’re aiming for wild animals in this RP- those that can be found in the jungle, savanna, Arctic and the Sahara. Please do not post these in the character tab, post them in the OOC so I may approve them. As well, please try to make sure there is only 1 or max 2 of each type of animal. There are many in the jungle to choose from!

Character Name
[img]Picture (or pictures) of your character.
