He bares little knowledge of any events prior to his discovery by Retra Operators after a large electrical disturbance was detected in Sarkaz territory. Instead of finding signs of a brewing catastrophe, however, the team would discover the smoldering ruins of a hidden weapon testing facility of some sort, though it bore no identifying markings to identify who had been in charge of it. The reasons for this secrecy were quickly apparent. Further investigation would reveal that whoever had been behind this facility had been using Infected Civilians as test subjects for Arts-enhancement experiments, increased table Originium Production, and other similarly heinous acts. It is impossible to extrapolate how much success was had in these endeavors, however, as there was only one living soul in the entire facility. A 15-year-old Thunderer, unconscious in the remains of a hospital bed, surrounded by numerous electrical scorch marks that radiated out from him like a spider's web.

Ever since this discovery, Retra's medical division has taken to making the young Sarkaz a bit of a pet project, helping to reign in the quite severe Originium infection he suffers from, as well as the high level of innate Arts talent he possesses. While it is impossible to tell if his abilities are due to the success of the cruel methods employed upon him or a natural talent with Arts, Thunderer has shown to have a high aptitude when given the proper guidance and training in the applications of his gifts and often shows enthusiasm for learning to make better use of his abilities when given the chance. However, it was during his first mission as an Operator, a position he seemed greatly eager to under-take to thank those who'd taken care of him, that the true depths of his condition was uncovered. While able to perform as an extremely effective Caster-class Operator in training sims, proving capable of wide-scale destructive power with little issue, the true stresses of the battlefield revealed his mental rigidity to and control over this power to not be as solid as it initially appeared. While the resulting. . . *incident caused by Thunderer panic attack did not result in any serious injuries or casualties for the Operation team, the same could not be said for the surrounding landscape that got caught up in the electrical maelstrom. Ever since that day, Thunderer has taken to more backline duties that keep him out of the direct line of fire, focusing on more supportive uses for his Arts while also seeking psychiatric help him keep his calm in high-stress environments. The success of these treatments has been marginal, but progressive.

Clinical Analysis

Thunderer is suffering a very critical state of infection, with Originium residing in both his muscle tissue and skeletal systems in worrying amounts. While usually able to function in a standard capacity, he often sometimes suffers from thoughts of intense joint pain or muscle spasms, particularly after a mission where he has needed to make extensive use of Arts. Not only that, but it seems that whatever experimentation that was done to him prior to his arrival at Retra has made it extremely difficult for Thunderer to reign in his abilities. As such, even in his day to day life, it is not unexpected to see something akin to a cloud bank follow him around, sometimes producing localized rainstorms or(somewhat worryingly) thunderstorms depending on his mood. Such phenomena are usually harmless, but when placed in more high-stress scenarios, it can be a problem. However, interestingly enough, the presence of Originium in his bones and muscles have to lead to a higher density and strength in these systems, allowing him a much higher level of physical power and durability then one would normally expect of an Operator of his experience. While he has not taken much more than basic hand-to-hand combat training at this juncture, these mutations have to lead to him being able to carry quite substantial loads with relative ease, often making him a prime candidate for fielding heavier pieces of equipment, which he takes to doing happily. Another minor note, however, is the case of his horns. They appear to have been cut down to the bare nubs and despite being part of Retra for quite some time, have yet to even begin growing back despite numerous treatments by the medical staff. It is currently unknown why this is to be the case, but it is best to not bring it up in Thunderer's presence as the subject often brings him discomfort and some stress which, as noted above, can lead to unnessecary hazards.

[Cell-Originium Assimilation]

20%

Patient features a number of light blue ore-legions spreading across his skin, with a heavy concentration of such markings appearing over his heart. X-ray imaging also shows accumulation to be present within his skeletal and muscular systems beneath the skin along with dark blurry shapes surrounding other organs. The patient's infection is currently properly controlled and crystals show no sign of spreading.

[Blood Originium-Crystal Density]

0.43u/L

Blood Crystal Density is slowly increasing and is currently being managed by a secondary treatment regimen carried out by the Medic Team.

Despite the potential risks that have been noted when fielding this Operator, it would be inaccurate to say he is not an important asset to nearly any Operation. His skill with Arts focused mainly on the effect of weather manipulation, creating rolling banks of clouds and mist to hide the movements of his allies, along with the activation of electrons in the air to launch electrical discharges at opponents. Rather than the use of standard stats and Wands, the Operator in question uses a pair of custom-made and designed wands that take a shape similar to over-sized revolvers, apparently as a tribute to one of the few pleasant memories that have returned to him in his time with Retra. While odd in design, they prove to be effective, holding shards of Originium in the 'clip' to fuel his more basic Arts attacks. He has also begun designing a larger form of these wands, though the purpose of it is as of yet unknown to everyone, even the R&D team that is helping him fine-tune it. It will likely be some time before we see it come to the field proper, however, but worth mentioning none the less. Speaking of his engineering talents, it would be prudent to note that Thunderer has proven a surprisingly quick study in the fields of Originium-based Science and technology, picking up incredibly complicated topics and theories with an ease that suggests a previous knowledge of them. However, given his current state of amensia, it is currently impossible to say for certain if the Operator is more than what he seems or just a prodigy in the making. Whatever the case, his eagerness to learn and experiment combined with his attentive nature make it not unlikely that he will attempt to 'improve' the gear of any team he is assigned to work with. It is recommended to take these modifications with a grain of salt and handled with a great amount of care. Despite his knowledge, it would be inaccurate to say that Thunderer is not prone to taking shortcuts in testing when it comes to his experiments, and as such, his upgrades can at times be a bit haphazard. Make use of his offers at your own risk.

— Dr. Makano, Department of Operations

[/cell][/row]
