What started it all started so simply... "Come on, faster!" A young boy said as he ran alongside his brother down an alleyway. Behind them was an absolute horde of police officers that were hot on their tail. Catching up fast, but fortunately, they came across a fence and they hopped over it. The... less than capable police officers had a hard time catching up. The two boys eventually breached the streets of LA as they made it into the streets. However, it was a trap. When they made it out the police surrounded them from all angles, and the cops they were running from came from behind. All they could see were pistols and assault rifles aimed at them - even from the sky where cops were aiming weaponry at them from copters. "Stop right there!" A cop on a speaker said, "You're surrounded, hands on your head!" One of the boys sighed as he slowly put his hands behind his head, however, the younger of the two had other ideas. He screamed at the top of his lungs, "Go to hell!" As the ground began to shake... ... And he was promptly shot directly through the chest. "No!" His brother shouted as he rushed over to his brother and clutched him tightly as he bled to death. "God... damn it!" He screamed as well as the ground started shaking violently as cracks formed in the ground. An Earthquake that could be felt from hundreds of miles away began as more and more destruction ripped through California. And that was the last time LA was in one piece.

Three months later. January 17th, 2020.

"Oi!" Yoko shook her head as she stood on top of the building that overlooked several city blocks. She slid her hands into the pockets of her green jacket. It was funny that, only a few months ago, she could recognize this very street she's looking down. Unfortunately, all she could see was destruction, death, and more. This was the border of the territory that was claimed by their survivor group... the "Gal Pals" she heard that pain in the ass Stauber calls them a few times. They owned about a couple city blocks and they stayed out of the way of the bigger gang violence that was taking over LA. Yoko shook her head as she heard some footsteps behind her and casually turned her head around to see that it was Jack Stauber himself. She craned her neck as she looked at him in all of his douchey glory. He had a cigarette between his lips, a cocky grin, and a laser rifle was thrown over his shoulder. "Stauber," Yoko said, "What do you want?" "Oh hey, not even a "hello"?" Jack chuckled, "I'm not even asking for a lot, just a simple "Hey Jack" or "Yo". Sheesh... I thought the Japanese were supposed to be polite." "I have little time for your games." "But plenty of time to stand on the edge of a building like Batman," Jack took one puff of his cigarette. "But yeah, what are you doing up here?" "I wanted some space for myself so I can meditate." "Oh, cool, cool, just try not to wander off by yourself, 'kay?" Jack said as he shook his head, "Because, you gotta remember LA ain't safe anymore - well, to be honest with you, it was never safe - but there are hordes of roaming lunatics running around who'd love some Japanese food right about now." Jack laughed as Yoko narrowed her eyes at him. How could he be so blase and serious at the same time...? Yoko was about to throw him off the building. "Okay that was uncalled for, don't go dragon on me," Jack gave her a smug smile, "But since I'm a de facto "Gal Pal", I'd hate to see something happen to ya', squirt." "Thank you for your concern, Stauber," Yoko said, "If you don't mind, g-" Their conversation was interrupted by a burst of gunfire coming from not too far away. "... Speaking of lunatics." Jack said as he kicked his rocket boots together as he put on his goggles. He floated up into the air as his jet boots activated, but then he looked at Yoko, "... I'll make sure to go extra slow for you." He jets off. Meanwhile, marching into their territory was a group of Boyz, wearing their signature smiley masks and wielding assault rifles probably stolen from the LAPD and the National Guard. They were firing wildly into the air to get everyone's attention as they suddenly came to a stop. "Alright, listen up!" The ringleader said, "Joyboy is getting pissed off with all of you dikes chilling on the edge of our territory and not paying tribute! So give up food, ammo, water - whatever the fuck! Fuck, I wouldn't mind if one of you came up and sucked my dick! Just pay some kinda tribute to the Boyz!" They all chuckled as they thought it was one hilarious game.
