[b]Personality[/b]
William is a very curious person who's always keen on exploring every nook and cranny of his target. Whether his target be a person or a place it matters not to him. This is where his average behavior in a normal society stops though. Where people would be satisfied at having their curiosity sated, William is obsessed with discovering new things. It's led him to make quite a few enemies because of his devil-may-care attitude. He seems to always have a smile on no matter the occasion.

[b]Backstory[/b]
William grew up in a loving home with a kind family. His father was a doctor and his mother stayed at home to take care of his younger sister alongside himself. From the moment he had the brain capacity to create comparisons to others, he realized that he was a bit different from the norm. Not in a way he could realize until much later. His life was peaceful and normal just the way he liked it until terrible news hit the family. His younger sister, Julia, was diagnosed with leukemia. She went in and out of the hospital for treatments, but it was noticeable even to him that she progressively got worse and worse little by little.

So, William decided to be a doctor. With the help of his father's notes, he managed to make it into med school. He had a few friends that distracted him from the looming bad luck surrounding his sister, but it couldn't distract him from the death of his entire family in a single night.

Coming home and seeing his family's house on fire devastated him immensely. He dropped out of med school and went on a journey. He became a bit of an explorer by climbing mountains and adventuring through jungles. He wanted to find something to love in this world that ruined him so, but he unfortunately couldn't love the world that took his family away. To support his lifestyle, he stole from people that he didn't care about. This was merely a distraction, which accumulated the moment he reached the peak of another mountain. He realized how fortunate he was, and so he decided to jump off the mountain as some sort of final test. He fell unconscious way before he hit the ground.

When he woke up, he didn't feel as surprised as he should've been. He realized the nature of his power in that instant and came to a different sort of realization at the same moment. If the world doesn't want to him die, then he'll live in this world however he pleases.

And so he set an impossible goal for himself. At least to regain some normality that's been lost forever.

[b]Power: Sparks[/b]
The invisible collisions in the air ripple across the world creating coincidences that people attribute to fortune or misfortune. What William can do is influence these sparks in his favor. To turn fatal wounds into minor or moderate wounds, to cause a ragged building to suddenly collapse, or to snatch fortune away from others and leave them with misfortune. It can even help him aim his knives properly.

There is a single weakness to this ability however. The fact that luck itself can't change everything. For example, buildings that are structurally sound will not collapse in a short period of time. The ability does not warp reality. It nudges the rails of fate, but it does not change them.
