[indent]Samuels mother was forced to give him up when he was born. A teen mom from a rich family, his maternal grandparents didn't want their family name ruined by their fifteen year old daughter giving birth to a child - especially when she didn't know who the father was. The only thing that his mother ever did for Sam was give him a name. Due to his mother putting him up for adoption, Sam was in and out of the foster care system his whole life. 

At first, it wasn't so bad. For the first five years of his life, Sam was with a loving family who made sure that he had everything that he needed. Eventually the family ended up having their own children, and decided that they could no longer foster or adopt Sam. Until the age of thirteen, Sam was put with another family who fostered him simply for the check that they received from the state. As the second oldest in the home, Same took care of the rest of the kids who were being fostered with him. After an investigation by child protective services, Sam and the other children were removed from the home due to abuse and neglect. From the ages of thirteen to sixteen, Sam lived in a boys group home. Here, he was encouraged to make something of himself by the adults, and after much consideration, Sam started to get serious about school for the first time in his life. While some of the older, larger kids picked on Sam, he actually felt safe and secure for the first time since his original foster family. 

As luck would have it, Sam found a family at sixteen that absolutely adored him. The Woods family had two children of there own already, but wanted to add another to the family. Sam was soon adopted by the Woods family, and treated like he had been there since the day that he was born. He gained an older sister by two years, and a younger brother by one. 

Walking home from his part time job at a hardware store this summer, that is when Sam was kidnapped and sent to Project Untamed.[/indent]
