Her mind is a non-stop whir of thoughts hidden behind cunning eyes that'll stare you down in a matter of seconds. She surveys things with an almost-analytical awareness, and it seems to most that she misses nothing. The truth is, she merely has a keen eye for picking up small changes in the behaviour of those around her, and has an extraordinarily perceptive talent of drawing conclusions based on what she sees in front of her. It is next to impossible to get a lie past this girl - and she'll tell you as such. Despite the intimidating nature of her acute observations, Quinn is a rather easy person to get along with. People tend to feel drawn to her independent nature - perhaps it's because even a snippet of her precious attention makes them feel special, or it's just in an effort to figure her out - she has no idea, but she has no issues with it. When it comes to those she deems as acquaintances, her character remains rather mild, and she keeps her opinions to herself, as long as they stay on her good side. She comes across as sweet and unassuming, perhaps a little flirtatious towards those she is particularly interested in. Cross to a level of her unapproval, though, and her quick, scarily accurate observations of those around her become sharp, witty quips that can make even the fiercest of characters feel small. It is due to her piercing judgement of character that she is resoundingly cautious when it comes to letting people become close to her. One wouldn't say she is picky, per-say, she just has a few trust issues that have left her with the ultimate decision that she is better off on her own. If you happen to be one of the select few she values as being her actual friends, however, a startlingly warm, playful character is brought to Quinn's surface and it is not hard to see why so many vie for her dwindling attention. It is her mission to make those she cares about smile - and will always put their needs before her own, even damagingly so. So stick around and put up with her icy exterior - she's worth it.
[sub]
Habits/Quirks/Fun Facts
[/sub]
✸ Quinn adores colder weather. Snow, ice, and even rain are all things she misses terribly in New Mexico. ✸ The perfume Quinn wears is very distinctive - a sweet, floral scent that lingers for some time after she has left. ✸ It is only when she is concentrating, hard, that she will ever tie her hair up. So if you see her with her hair pulled up in a bun - she means business. ✸ Quinn never cries. She's felt the urge to before, sure, but she's never let a tear spill. At least, not that she can remember, anyway. ✸ She's a nail-biter. A horrible habit she wishes she could drop, but all attempts have been unsuccessful so far. ✸ Even if the weather has temperatures soaring, Quinn will always be wearing some kind of cosy attire - whether its a jumper or fluffy socks, she's always dressed for an eternal winter.
[sub]
Dreams
[/sub]
Quinn rarely dreams, or even fantasises about the future, as her character demands for her mind to be present at all times throughout the day. But sometimes, when she has a moment or two to herself - whether thats in her bed in the middle of the night, or when she finishes a test before everyone else in her class - she has caught herself thinking about what it would be like to put her observational skills to good use. To actually help people. Truth is, although she would never admit it, Quinn would love to be a detective or investigator of some sort. A job in which people praise her attention to even the most minute of details, instead of being wary of it.
[sub]
Likes/Dislikes
[/sub]
βœ” Any kind of berry - especially strawberrries. She has no clue why, but even a picture of one gives her the creeps. She will refuse to step outside if she sees one flying low nearby. She's assumed that it is much to do with the awareness of birds being able to see everything that is going on around her from above that freaks her out, but to be honest she hasn't come with a reasonable explanation.

[sub]
History Pre-Memory Loss
[/sub]
Quinn's mother and father grew up together in a small town just East of Rocky Mountains in Montana. They were childhood sweethearts - an inseparable couple that knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together from the moment they met. Too bad that turned out to be not that long at all. Quinn was born mid-August on a somewhat rainy day - rainy enough that the roads were slick and driving was dangerous. En-route to the hospital, there was a head-on collision with four fatalities. Quinn's mother and father, and the driver and passenger of the car they crashed into. Newborn Quinn had to be delivered by the paramedic team with two dead parents before she was even born. And hence a rough start in life led to an even rougher life in general. Quinn's father's parents tried their best to bring their orphaned grandchild up in a loving, yet grief-stricken home. They rarely spoke of her parents for much of her childhood - leaving her with a sense of frustration and as if she had a piece of her missing as she grew into her early teenage years. It was when Quinn was thirteen years old that her Aunt Faye showed up. A whirl of flowy dresses and jangling bracelets, her mother’s older sister was a force to be reckoned with, and young Quinn loved it. This strange, enchanting woman was a breath of fresh air compared to her overbearing, strict and serious grandparents - so, naturally, Quinn was willing to do whatever she asked. Faye meant well, most of the time, yet was wrapped up in her own world. Where Quinn’s parents’ death had turned her grandparents into shadows of their former selves, haunted with the loss of their children, Faye had become manic - obsessed with the idea that their death had been a conspiracy. This newfound obsession had consumed her life - draining her money and leaving her practically homeless. So she went to live with Quinn and her grandparents for a short time, before disappearing as quickly as she appeared in a gust of exhaustive energy. This time, however, she had taken Quinn with her - convinced that this was the only way she could unlock the secrets of her late sister and her husband’s deaths. It didn’t work - of course - and, after an unremarkable few years of non-stop moving around the country with her niece, Faye was finally caught by the police and charged with kidnapping. Quinn was devastated. She was willing to do anything to get her Aunt out of trouble. And that was when she was approached by the recruiters of Project Untamed. They promised her that, if she joined their state-of-the-art boarding school in New Mexico, then they would provide her Aunt with the finest lawyer money could buy. Without hesitation, Quinn said yes and left her estranged grandparents without so much as a goodbye.
