A little late because of my jacked up fingers.
Name: Nekane Title: The Crybaby Bounty: $1,500,000 Nickname: Nek-Nek Crew: (Up for grabs, if anyone is looking for a lazy healer to have around! Otherwise he is just gonna' be hanging around until something sticks.) Occupation/Skillset: Medic. He will never, ever call himself an actual doctor, but due to his Devil Fruit he is able to be a great substitute. He does have enough basic medical knowledge for treating things like a cold, scurvy, and a few diseases. He has a vague idea on how to do stitches too! But he hasn't gotten to give it much practice. Age: 19 Age Appearance: Early 20's
Stands at roughly five foot six, weighing somewhere around one-hundred and twenty pounds. Black hair that lightens out into a slightly ashy grey color. Hazel eyes that look almost golden in the right lighting. His skin is pale but surprisingly doesn't burn easily in the sun. Like most folks, he has scars. The two most notable scars happen to be the mark of a slave in the middle of his upper back and the distinct circular ring of pink around the lower part of his neck. It is hard to notice these though, if ever, because he religiously wears high turtlenecked clothing, even when he sleeps! A very kind, lazy soul. He is easy to smile at anyone and everyone, friend or foe, and he is rather easy to get along with! Unfortunately he isn't really a man of action until he absolutely must be; he doesn't jump into a fight unless attacked first, he avoids arguments if he can, and tries his best to get out of chores or any kind of work. Daydreaming and stargazing are his favorite things, all day every day. That isn't to say he doesn't put in great amounts of effort for the things he does do. He doesn't half-ass anything, be it relationships, doing the dishes, or crying. His lack of motivation to take action is easily overwritten when someone is injured. It is like a switch is flipped somewhere in his brain and he immediately involves himself in an attempt to help- he cannot stand seeing someone get hurt while he stands by doing nothing. [sub] Sadly, his ability to fight... is shiiiiit. [/sub]
Laugh: "Chichichi~" Birthplace: Sabaody Archipelago, Paradise
Nekane was born on Sabaody Archipelago, part of the World Noble slave trade business. He had a rather abnormal docile demeanor as a child, because of it he was sold off to a crew off to the Gord-Gon pirates for a small sum. From there his life revolved around intense labor of working on the ship, helping clean, with repairs, and even organizing their plundered treasure. He was rather trusted due to his docility and seeming inability to argue back. Due to this abnormal amount of trust placed upon him, Nekane accidentally obtained his Devil Fruit sometime after he turned twelve. The Captain did not take kindly to this, but quickly found there to be great use in the Fruit's powers. Instead of being slaughtered so the Devil Fruit could be re-obtained, they kept Nekane alive and thought of many, many cruel ways to make him cry. They all worked, effectively. Unfortunately for them, their attempts worked a bit too well. After some time he would simply start crying if someone so much as looked at him for too long. This excessive crying quickly turned out to have negative effects; if he cried too much, his tears lost their effective healing ability, up to the point that they returned to normal tears for a time. The Captain, Gor'gu, decided it was a better idea to save his tears for when they were needed. This lead to the next phase of Nekane's life, where he started to become terribly lazy. Despite his status as a slave, due to the Captains orders, if anyone made him cry, they were the ones to be punished. This got him out of all sorts of things he normally would be forced to do normally, such as cleaning or getting scolded over something that wasn't even his fault. At first it was downright terrifying getting out of having to do work, but he sure couldn't control when his eyes started to water at that point in his life! It was odd for the first few weeks, until people stopped asking things of him and only hunted him down when they needed an injury mended closed. This turned into a habit of him just lazing about until he was called upon. In fact, it became encouraged to have him doing so. He took to his new role easily and rather happily started seeking the injured out rather than having to be called upon. His time with the Gord-Gon crew came to an abrupt end just before he turned fifteen. An attack on a passing Navy ship at some port near the Red Line went sideways, most of the crew was captured. Without an ounce of hesitation, Nekane took the chance and fled in the chaos. His escape was easy enough. But sadly, having been on a ship his entire life and kept in the dark about many things, he lacked any real ability to survive effectively on his own. The next several years of his life turned into a constant struggle between learning how the world works and doing his damnedest to avoid getting caught for his bounty. And so far, it has continued to be just like that!
Goal: To obtain a full name, to see the world, and just maybe try to become an actual doctor.
Devil Fruit Name: Chiyu Chiyu no Mi/Heal Heal Fruit Abilities: The Chiyu Chiyu no Mi functions as it does in canon. Though due to a lack of information, such as appearance and limits (save for the shortening of the lifespan for healing inanimate objects), I have worked on some natural limits for it myself. The more/longer Nekane cries, the less effective the tears or water will become until they return to normal tears. The length of which it takes before the tears start becoming less effective is unknown, but the moment they start to loose their effectiveness, it drops off insanely quickly and does not return for several hours. Signature Moves: Unfortunately, due to a severe lack of a 'safe place' to practice, Nekane doesn't have any signature moves quite yet. The most he is able to do is heal people with his tears. He can form water in his hands with the same healing properties as his tears, but he isn't too fond of healing others this way. Haki Type of Haki: Armament Control: Unnoticed Special Skills: He is able to, on a very minor scale, imbue his knife with his Haki. This is a largely untapped ability though, he lacks awareness of it entirely, seeing as it has only occurred a time or two when he absolutely had no way of noticing. Type of Haki: Observation Control: Minor Special Skills: While not a skill quite yet, if he focuses really, really hard, he can get a decent sense for the intent of others around him for a short bit. Sadly, similar to his other form of haki, Nekane lacks serious awareness for this forming ability. Weapons/Equipment Backpack: Nekane keeps his entire life in his backpack. Its decently sized and only has one zipper to open. Anything he owns or values is in his bag. He never takes the damn thing off and will usually try to sleep with it unless someone has some serious objections to it. The contents of the backpack are sparse: A change of clothes, sewing kit, some thick medical book he can hardly read, and some things to tend to his knife. Knife: Not being a man of action, Nekane doesn't like big bulky weapons like swords or maces, and guns are far too loud for his tastes. In place to defend himself, he carries around a typical hunting knife that is as long as his forearm. The weapon itself is very sharp and hasn't seen much use, at least not for its intended purpose. He has used it to cut up fruit more than once. Fighting Skills/Attributes Nekane simply isn't much of a fighter, he has issues with confrontation and really avoids it at nearly all costs. When push comes to shove though, he can hold his own, for a little bit. He doesn't hit very hard but he is very fast and agile; mostly just so he can escape. He is skilled in evading attacks and he is durable when it comes to getting thrown around. Since he is able to heal his own injuries on the go, he becomes absolutely fearless if he is positive he can escape, which and lead to a whole slew of problems for anyone trying to actively catch him.
