Yeah, that's what I was going for. Obviously it doesn't need too many people to work, since it's a small group setting and all that. With a smaller group though it would have to be a bit more active than that of a larger group, at least in my opinion, but I still think it could be fairly laid back and still work. I was thinking at least three of four more people besides me would be best, and characters could be any of your mainstream fantasy creatures (or not, depending on if it fits in the story).
