Certainly not the only telekene in the world, it is however, a relatively rare manifestation for supers, and Daniel sits in the higher bracket of those few known to possess it. While it takes great strain to do so, he is able to lift and act on forces independently up to the weight of a large vehicle, and the upper limit of his power continues to grow. With smaller objects, no only does it barely take more effort than a thought, but he also has much greater dexterity of control. The truly significant aspect of his powers, however, a slightly later addition and one that he has kept hidden from the wider world, including Vought and his parents, is his form of latent telepathy. While he cannot directly read the minds of those around him to hear their specific thoughts, although he does ‘hear’ an occasional strong word, he instead can perceive emotions and ‘true’ feelings, desire and motivations. Biography: As with many of the ‘supers’ Daniel discovered his powers early in life and his family were swiftly assisted by Vought in both raising and capitalising on such a thing. He did not come from a particularly troubled background, his family could be considered relatively standard resident of New York, second generation immigrants from Scotland but reasonably well off. As specific schooling began, a mixture of general education and learning to control and use his powers, the second aspect of his abilities manifested. Thankfully, the young boy was old enough at the time to already understand the advantages of not immediately informing Vought and his parents, a fact that soon proved the right choice. As his mental abilities developed and he began to experience clear insight into others true motivations, a shadow of doubt was cast about the validity of his background, and just how much Vought could be trusted. Worse, a similar experience was felt around his parents. Consequently he became increasingly reserved as an individual. Previously hotheaded, he now seemed forcibly calm, and distant from his relatives. Even if he did not trust Vought, he welcomed the opportunity to move from home and continued his education in a boarding school-style setting. Due to his inclination to hear ‘true’ thoughts, he had had relatively few true friends but was certainly able to avoid upsetting most, argely ending up as a ‘well liked outcast’ wherever he should be. To those few he did grow close to, as a youth and later, it would become evident that he certainly had a ‘projected’ personality and a more intimate one, a care-free, if emotional individual buried beneath a severe exterior. Largely this has been perceived as his emotional state influencing his powers, which is not entirely untrue, it simply has more of an impact on his hidden abilities than his widely known telekinesis. As his education came to an end and he was preparing to fully enter the world of Vought and its famous super teams, Daniel began an effort which he had so far deliberately avoided, investigating the feelings of misdirection and guile around any Vought executive, and most curiously, the parents of other Supers. While before he had deliberately tried to suppress the telepathic elements of his powers, he now lent into them fully, seeking to train and enhance them in much the same was as he has been taught to do so with his telekinesis, widening and sharpening the range of which he could examine the true thoughts and feelings of those around him. While successful in doing so, all this did was confirm to him his greater suspicions without revealing any further detail and so he has taken to more mundane methods of investigation. His abilities have certainly aided in his efforts remaining undetected, able to abandon threads and plans the moment he perceived any sensation of suspicion in his direction. His efforts to uncover the truth behind Vought, however, have been put on hold, with the introduction of Daniel to his first Vought team, a team that has been provided with a particularly important and sensitive mission, one that his internal senses of warning and dread have been far from silent on.
