This allows him to contort and stretch his body beyond what would normally be physically possible and readjust his position without hurting himself, increasing his flexibility. This also allows him to be more attuned to his physical body, allowing him to know the state of his body as well as find anything wrong with it like diseases or defects, and coordinate with his bodies natural immune systems more effectively. A shot to the head or heart can still bring him down just like any man. Regeneration: While life saving, regeneration is very taxing on his endurance and every injury still slows him down and can potentially overtax his healing factor. He can take more than most humans, but one can only take so much. Vainglorious: Vanity is a weakness, and stroking Eden’s ego could make him more easily swayed or lower his guard. Perverted: Eden is a sucker for a pretty face. Personality: Eden is narcissistic, flamboyant, and a bit of a dandy. He loves to wax poetically and verbosely, and has a tendency for the theatrical and over the top. He also has a flirtatious and mischievous side, though never to the point of maliciousness. On the other hand, he shows mercy to the defeated, and is extremely loyal to those he respects, have treated him well, or that he deems worthy. He has great respect for other warriors or those with a fighting spirit, especially those who protect the weak. He strives to hone and strengthen his warrior spirit, constantly training and striving to prove his greatness, if not to others than himself. He does not like suffering, nor does he have much respect for those who dismiss ideals like honor and compassion to be weaknesses. Eden is a thrill-seeker, and enjoys the various comforts and pleasures modern life as to offer. While Eden prefers not to kill his opponents, unlike some other heroes he is willing to cross that line if the situation is too dire or the price of failure is the life of himself or another. Eden loves swimming, swords, the beach, the ocean, paintings, riding on his motorcycle, and the ladies. Place of Origin: Miami, Florida Background: Marius Gaius Lucius was raised along the Florida coastline, which started his life long love for the ocean. There were few things more beautiful to Marius then to gaze out into that infinity of sparkling blue, limited only by the horizon. He thought is was a fitting representation for the boundless majesty and power of the universe. Another thing that intrigued the youth were stories that he used to read of gallant knights, defenders of the weak and defenseless, smiters of the cruel and the wicked, of wielders of great arms that made them look like heroes of yore, legendary warriors whose deeds of valor, courage and benevolence would be immortalized and remembered for eons to come. This started his affections for his other love, sword fighting. Wanting to be remembered for greatness himself and immolate his idols, he trained religiously with the sword as soon as he was strong enough to hold one. This dedication and discipline would help to curb the worst of his excesses as he grew older. The seeds of admiration he felt within himself and his technique grew into obsessive narcissism and a sense of pride bordering on the arrogant. During his high school years he was a bit of playboy, his unsubtle self-confidence and his steadfast determination made him many lovers and enemies in equal measure. It wasn’t until he was in college that he realized that there was something he could share with others a way to make them feel confidence in themselves rather than just hogging all the glory to himself. Thus he convinced himself to become a swimming instructor, so that others could know the joy of swimming and trusting themselves to the waters and the boundless freedom that came with that. Of course, Marius also wanted to travel the world, to see its beauty and majesty with his own two eyes. That’s when he heard about the artistic, economic and technological prestige of Central City, and he knew he had to experience it for himself. It wasn’t long after Marius moved in that the particle accelerator exploded. Marius didn’t noticed much out of the ordinary at first. It wasn’t until Marius looked upon himself in the mirror, contemplating what it would be like to have blonde hair when he saw his hair color change before his very eyes in response to his will. He started to experiment further in altering his appearance, at first for fun within the privacy of his own home, but then he realized he could do so much more with it. He had gotten into many fights in the past, sometimes defending others from bullies because he could not tolerate injustice, other times because his smug visage was simply an attractive magnet for punches. In either case, he was always scolded for it, though he always felt he was doing what he thought was right. But now it would not be Marius who would go to fight them, it would a new figure, an entity whose name he would seek to have immortalized and remembered for gallantry and heroism; Eden. [/hider]
