[indent] James is a tall man standing at about 6’2  with thin athletic build seemingly built more for speed and agility than strength and power.  His hair is brown with a hint of red peeking through every so slightly contrasting his dull blue eyes.  Regardless if it's for his job or just walking around the great city James is most commonly found wearing a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a vest over top of that.

[indent]  James always has a deck of cards on him.

 Poker player-  both as a dealer for a casino and a semi pro player James has always loved poker and has become quite good at the game.
 Poker face-  both a natural talent and one acquired through practice and experience, James is able to tell a stone cold bluff all while showing no visible signs of lying.
 lie detector-  More of a natural talent that has only gotten better as he has gotten older, James’s ability to see when a person is lying or trying to appear as something they aren't is quite uncanny. 
 Education-  James graduated college from UNLV with a Major in Physcology.

James has a unique power in that he is able to control and manipulate the energy in an object and himself.  More precisely James has the ability to activate or stop the kinetic and potential energy stored in objects.  Most commonly James uses this ability to increase the speed and durability of playing cards turning them into razor sharp weapons.  Theoretically however James could also cause the kinetic energy in a object to become reactive and explode as a result though besides one accidental occurrence James has yet to be able to do this with any success.  

Besides other objects James appears to have been able to slightly enhance his own physical abilities as a result of his energy manipulating.  While they are minor allowing for his muscles to use more energy has resulted in James being more athletic than he was before the incident.

The main limit to James powers is the size of the object in which James is trying to control.  The larger something is the more time and effort it takes for him to change that.
