Gracie Hero Name Bypass Gender Female Age 22 Date of Birth 3/11 Physique Grace has often been described as boy-ish in appearance. She has a very slim build, with only a very lightly muscular build, standing at 5'5" and weighing 116 pounds, making her fairly underweight, though not in a malnourished way. She has naturally brown hair, but since joining PHANTOM has died it dark orchid color to match her naturally vibrant purple eyes, one of her more unique features. She has fair skin and characteristically slim eyes that tend to give away her Oriental background. Her willowy figure also gives note to her comparative lack of certain, err, assets, something that she is a bit envious of. Blood Type O+ Occupation Professional Hero Side Hero Affiliation P.H.A.N.T.O.M. ( Pacific Hero Association for the Neutralization of Threats of Malevolence) Tier B+ Personality On the surface, Grace comes off as a very cool, collected, level-headed person. A soft-spoken girl by nature, Grace prefers analysis over immediate action, and tends to remain quiet and take things in before rushing to conclusions or jumping into action. She tends to seem subdued and lackadaisical, often standing on the sidelines and watching things out with an uncaring expression on her face. Her classic move is to chew gum while watching a fight from the sidelines and throwing her own opinion into the mix. She has a sort of biting sarcasm that seems almost vicious to those that aren't familiar with her. She seems very much uncaring, haughty, and too-good-for you at the surface. Underneath the surface, though, Grace is a loyal friend, one that is incredibly adaptable and incredibly resolute in her beliefs. Stubborn as a donkey, Grace will firmly stand by what she believes. much of which is a very valiant view of heroism in general. Grace is a very capable, but maybe more importantly, a very determined hero that will fight for a strong cause. Despite on the surface appearing all uncaring, Grace very much has a strong determination within her to fight for heroism. She is also very focused on preventing damage, believing that a hero's duty is to protect civilians and their welfare, and she is visibly annoyed by unnecessary damages. Grace does have a wilder side to her, but its one that rarely surfaces because of her propensity towards hero work and the like. Though she may regret it at first, Grace's cutting sense of humor and a deep-seated desire for more fun in her life makes her a wild thing that has simply yet to be tamed. Backstory Mok Ga-Yun was born to an upper-class family in South Korea. Raised by a family that was part-royalty, Ga-Yun was given a top-tier education in all the subjects, including English, which she was a fan of. By the age of 10, Ga-Yun was well more advanced than her peers in all the subjects, most prominently math, where she had already begun studying the basics of pre-calculus, along with English, in which she was fluent in, along with Korean. She began to adopt the English name Grace, partially because it sounded cool and partially because it sounded somewhat similar to Ga-Yun. "Grace" seemed to be well on-track towards becoming a mathematician or an engineer or something in the field of the sciences or math. When she was about 12, though, her powers began to surface, and it was clear to Grace that this gift allowed her an even greater opportunity than that of anything else she could have dreamed of. The young girl immediately began to research heroism, professional heroism, and learned of its many benefits. The local hero company sponsored by ICOSA was P.H.A.N.T.O.M., the Pacific Hero Association for the Neutralization of Threats of Malevolence, which broadly covered the areas of Korea, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, much of Oceania including Australia, and occasionally China when their local HERO company, C.H.O.M.P., needed backup. PHANTOM in many ways is the opposite of HERO. Unlike HERO, PHANTOM is very well-regarded and well-respected by ICOSA for their services to the hero community, are known as responsible and easily accountable, and though in terms of raw strength they may be behind, PHANTOM keeps well-ahead in terms of damage control. Grace wanted a position here, so on her 18th birthday, she began a career with PHANTOM. Bypass, as she became known by, quickly rose through the ranks with prestige. She became a member of PHANTOM's elite task force, the PHANTOM Five, and was named by ICOSA as a "Hero Exemplar," a status bestowed upon only 49 heroes in the world (most of them not from HERO), for her services. Considering that the Leftover amounts in her region had declined significantly and supervillainy was down, Bypass began working more and more closely with ICOSA. As of now, Bypass currently is still employed with PHANTOM. However, ICOSA has been increasingly putting pressure on HERO to get their act together, and the idea of them sending a Hero Exemplar to help out isn't exactly one they aren't considering. Grace has wanted to go to America for a while, too...hmmm.... Power Portal Grace is capable of creating and manipulating rifts in space, allowing her to create portals that can allow near-instant transportation through space quickly. The portals can either be applied to a surface or left midair and Grace can create them rather quickly. Paired Portals: If a portal is connected to another portal, any object, living or non-living, is sent through to the other open portal extremely quickly. The transition is not smooth and many of those that find themselves going through the portal the first time experience bouts of nausea after doing so, like riding a roller coaster, though Grace has never felt this type of sickness before. Grace is theoretically capable of connecting any two locations instantly, though she finds that maintaining a portal that is farther than her vision can be extremely taxing, especially if the portals are transporting large groups of people. Grace is able to open paired portals that are close to each other relatively quickly, however. Grace is also able to open a paired portal through a surface with ease, allowing individuals to walk through practically any wall with simplicity. Open Space: When Grace opens a single portal with no exit destination, those that walk through it are transported to Open Space, a strange empty pocket dimension that Grace can control. Open Space is technically inescapable without Grace opening a portal out of it, however, it is very difficult for Grace to maintain objects, especially living matter, in the Open Space for longer than a minute tops, at which point everything inside of the Open Space would be quickly deposited right in front of Grace. Puzzle Portals: Grace creates more than 2 portals at once. Usually, only two of the Portals are active while the rest lead to Open Space. Grace uses this ability to confuse enemies and thus make an effective getaway. Portal Discus: Grace can create a flat portal that has no exit destination and use it as a weapon, able to throw it like a discuss. This is one of her primary offensive weapon uses. Consuming Portal: Grace creates a particularly powerful portal that sucks everything roughly into open space around it. While a destructive ability in practice, Grace has yet to use this ability. The Complexity Of Space: Grace condenses many portals into a sphere and blasts the sphere. The compacted space then sucks inwards towards the sphere at high velocity. While a destructive ability in practice, Grace has yet to use this ability. While portals may seem cool, Grace has yet to master the ability in its entirety, though very skilled at its usage. She cannot make portals forever, as the more she creates and the farther apart they are, the more she is drained until she eventually succumbs to unconsciousness. Other

Grace has a degree from Yonsei University in Physics that she just received. She is very proud of herself and her diploma, even though she has no plans of using it.
Grace is never seen without gum on her.
Her favorite drink is Coca-Cola. She can drink Coca-Cola all damn day. She likes not being the only smart person in the room and is fascinated by his depth of knowledge in a field that she could never even consider having with practically anybody else in HERO. She would probably consider him, from their limited interaction, her closest friend on HERO, and she finds him quite cute as well. She respects the younger girl immensely and trusts her more than practically anybody else in HERO. [s]She's also her real mentor, unlike Joseph[/s] She also reminds her of Patricia Yeol, her old friend from PHANTOM and close confidante. They're both serious and easy to tease with their names.
Name of Person Angelica Alexander Relationship Status Well-Acquainted Quick Quote "Very nice girl, even though she has a very interesting choice in men." Relationship Description Grace, from her limited interactions with the girl, is on good terms with Angelica. Grace just doesn't see them being able to form a proper friendship due to the wide differences between them in multiple ways. She likes Jamie, she just doesn't want to pursue an active friendship at this time.
Name of Person Noah Bell / Starbright Relationship Status Fan Quote "Well, I mean, you did listen to his last album, right?" Relationship Description If you asked Grace she would tell you she genuinely enjoys Starbright's music, but the more plausible explanation is likely that she finds him to be eye candy and wants a piece.

Grace "Bypass" Mok HERO Entrance Exam Results Chief Proctor: Mel N. Colley Test #1 (Physical) Score 17 Subject displays dismally poor physical activities. Subject collapsed on landing during the long jump, hit one of the bars during the high jump, nearly passed out during the 1500m, did pass out during the 5k, and failed to complete more than one push-up and pull-up. Subject desperately needs more physical activity. Test #2 (Intelligence) Score 96 Subject has demonstrated vastly above-average intelligence. Subject has very high demonstrated knowledge of mathematics, physics, and other sciences, scoring perfectly in those areas, and is also very well-versed in geography, world history, logic, ethics, political science, and other major fields of study. Lost points in the advanced grammar section. Test #3 (Potential Power) Score 57 Subject refused to participate in the test for 20 minutes and 12 seconds before finally snapping and opening a large portal. Said portal, similar to a black hole, absorbed the weaker towers with ease and did significant structural damage to some of the larger ones. Though able to do a fairly substantial amount of damage, subject's power is clearly not tailored for mass destruction, and subject seems unwilling to explore the more powerful facets of her power. Test #4 (Non-Power Combat) Score 22 Subject displayed a relatively high theoretical understanding of martial arts, but lacked the physical abilities to execute the movement in combat, and was thus unable to defeat any of the combatants and was defeated in a very short period of time. Test #5 (Power Combat) Score 64 Subject was paired with a gun-based villain and was able to demonstrate surprisingly high reaction time (given past failures in physical combat). Subject used portals defensively to block attacks and redirect at the target. Successful fight with an original score of 80. However, on the proctor's instruction, subject was re-paired with a large Leftover lion mutant and was unable to defeat it, showing a weakness in subject's ability to deal with large melee combatants, with her power set only focused on the more niche application of ranged weaponry. Rescored to 64. Test #6 (Field Aptitude Combat) Score 76 Subject use portals to enter the facility stealthily and used portals to take out the goons and then the villain without great difficulty before using her computer skills to disable the super laser. Subject did not have any major struggles, though she did take her sweet time throughout the entire course, claiming she was sore from the physical combat. Subject was overall highly successful and demonstrated excellent judgement. Test #7 (Psych Eval) Score 62 Subject is overall stable with a strong ability to distinguish between right and wrong and a clear passion for hero work. Subject also has a very firm grasp of how to avoid doing collateral damage and is very concerned about doing more damage than is necessary or required to contain a threat. Subject does have a tendency to display an air of superiority and arrogance and can be crass and sarcastic to an irritating extent. Subject also dislikes leaving her comfort zone and has a disdain for those that don't share her views, but these weaknesses are unlikely to inhibit the subject's morality and ethics-based decision-making in the field. Subject has a very high demonstrated desire to make positive change, donating to charity and devoting a lot of her time to hero work. Overall, subject is more than suitable to be a hero. Cumulative Score 394
