Considering how big the battlefields tend to be I assume, 5 miles isn't a large radius. I can make it 3 if you like. As for the effects, it's not an insta-freeze, rather being built over time. However, I never suggested other machines can't see inside the mist. Being a mist, it'd be low visibility for everyone, though given the source is the Desperado, it'd have some natural sight advantage.
