In a government seemingly dominated by narcos, inherited wealth and militant strongmen, the working classes must be represented, and Phillipe considers himself the man to make it so. One of the darlings of the nation's fledgling trade unions and labour movements, Mr Diodore has ascended the political ladder with the support of a grass roots campaign. While his firebrand way of doing things attracts criticism from the establishment, it holds a certain appeal to the people of Melizea who have experienced the hardships of conflict and a failing economy.

That being said, Phillipe Diodore is also a patriot and pragmatist, and has communicated to the newly elected President that he would be willing to serve in their cabinet for the good of the nation provided he is not stifled. President Saavedra will have to decide whether he would prefer a perhaps tamed Mr Diodore in his cabinet or to let the politician run wild, a thorn in the side of his first term as President of Melizea.
