Full Name: Phillipe Diodore Age: 35 Brief Description & Background: In a government seemingly dominated by narcos, inherited wealth and militant strongmen, the working classes must be represented, and Phillipe considers himself the man to make it so. One of the darlings of the nation's fledgling trade unions and labour movements, Mr Diodore has ascended the political ladder with the support of a grass roots campaign. While his firebrand way of doing things attracts criticism from the establishment, it holds a certain appeal to the people of Melizea who have experienced the hardships of conflict and a failing economy. That being said, Phillipe Diodore is also a patriot and pragmatist, and has communicated to the newly elected President that he would be willing to serve in their cabinet for the good of the nation provided he is not stifled. President Saavedra will have to decide whether he would prefer a perhaps tamed Mr Diodore in his cabinet or to let the politician run wild, a thorn in the side of his first term as President of Melizea.

Full Name: Jose "Pepe" Caraballo Age: 35 Brief Description & Background: Son to a Bishop, Pepe was thrust into church life from an early age while also being given the best education his Bishop father could access. There was no real childhood for Pepe, who quickly witnessed that politics was present not only in the government, but also the church, as his father was ousted for some odd reason, sent out to the rural boondocks of Melizea. Pepe witnessed many hardships in the rural lands, the poor crushed under foot, with nearly no opportunity for advancement. As a young man, he spent his days helping what were basically peasants with their troubles, getting his hands dirty by helping out anyway he could. When Pepe wasn't working in the dirt and mud he was reading and educated himself with what information was available. His efforts managed to pay off when Pepe entered the top military university in Melizea. With better access to even more information, Pepe absorbed all that he could before setting off as an Officer in the Army. Pepe is less notable for his military career so much as he is notable for his intellectual career, contributing regularly to intellectual circles. This has gotten him into borderline trouble with the military and the government for his articulate, fairly outspoken beliefs about individual freedom that have gotten him passed over at times for promotion. However, these writings of Pepe and his history combined with his close calls have gained him some fame with the public, though he is not a major mover or shaker at the moment.
