Geralt's response was not what Lucien wanted to hear. In fact, he hadn't even bothered to respond to his question, and that in itself was an answer. He made no attempt to take the man's money. That wasn't what this was about. It was about integrity, and that was something the Magician seemed to be lacking at the moment, if his tone told him anything. "I don't want your money, Geralt." He said, before turning toward the door. He could not simply pay him off and expect everything to be okay. "You cannot continue to run away from your problems. Refusing to talk about it is not going to make it go away. This is not something I will simply just let go. You're an adult, and sometimes you have to take responsibility for your actions. I expect to hit this conversation again when you're sober." He said, before leaving the man's trailer. Was he disappointed? Yes. Angry? Even more so, but he would not continue to waste his time when he knew the conversation wasn't going to go anywhere. He'd give the man another chance, when he had a clear mind and would hopefully end up reflecting on what he had done. Tomorrow was the Big Top show, and he hoped this was not something he would have to deal for that too. He had to resolve this before then. Irked, Lucien headed back to his trailer. All he could do for now was hope that this time would allow Geralt to come to his senses.
