Occupation/Skillset: She's the Shipwright and spent quite a bit of time on Shipwright Island growing up (more in history).  She is pretty good at hand-to-hand combat, but she specializes in using her buckler as a weapon as well as a standard shield.  She also has a black Den Den Mushi she got while sneaking around the Gasu Pirates' (a famous pirate crew in the East Blue the Red Stars defeated) ship while looking for the rest of the crew.

Personality: Akita a pretty friendly woman.  She defends her friends to the core and has a strong loyalty to her crewmates.  While they have become her family, she tends to keep her past a secret in fears of being unwanted.  She is very strong-willed and tends to be the voice of reason.

History: Akita comes from a long line of Marine shipwrights.  As a young girl she dreamed of becoming a Marine herself, even joining the Junior Marine squads to carry on the family tradition.  She trained incredibly hard day-in and day-out in an effort to make her family proud.  Just before becoming making a huge commitment to the Marines, Akita's parents left her on shipwright island.  They didn't tell her why specifically and she trusted them enough to never ask.  Akita learned more in-depth the complexities of building.  Eventually, a Buster Call was called on Shipwright Island.  She managed to escape with the help of a man named Genji.  From there, she found herself joining the Red Stars and never turned back.
Goal: To build the most incredible ship the world has ever seen!
