Her footwork, reflexes, and speed are quite good along with her skill. She doesn't play it as much - but whenever she gets the chance, she stops by a tennis court and practices (At times, plays some scrubs at it). Spanish ⫻ In school Emily learned how to speak Spanish, and is a native of Florida she knows how to put it to good use. Extra-Normal ⫻ Apart from her nature of being affixed to an Apparition that's existed for eons, Babylon is willing to share everything she knows about the Extra-Normal. What types of beings are out there and what sort of supernatural fuckery she can get into. Most importantly, Emily knows how to seal Apparitions, a skill that she uses well.[/sub]
[/cell][cell][sub] Appearance[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "I'm a doll."
Emily is a girl that seemingly took a complete one-eighty in terms of appearance and demeanor. She was never ugly, but before she usually had her hair tied into an unflattering bun, never wore makeup, had nerdy glasses, and usually dressed conservatively. Recently, after her pact with Babylon, she decided to try something a little different. She now lets her hair out into a long straight mane that goes all the way to her back, wears makeup, and dresses well for her figure. Along with ditching the glasses for contacts or better-looking glasses. One would say that she caterpillar to a butterfly. The girl has a confident aura with how she constantly walks with a smile on her face... but it's the kind of smile now that she's happy, that she's the best person here. That she knows something that everyone doesn't, and that betrays the nature of what would be a normally flirty smile into a dangerous one. Every time she speaks, she seems like she's speaking down to other people. Always in the same condescending tone and sometimes never makes eye contact with them (but she never seems to make eye contact with anyone). Even with authority, she's still dismissive as always. Into her appearance, Emily is part French-Canadia and part a bunch of other stuff. She seems to take primarily after European cultures in her face, but few know can tell. The girl has a square jaw and a very pronounced nose and most notably blue eyes. Her skin has a few scars but she tries her best not to get more and usually hides them under makeup. Emily is a bit taller than average at five-eight, she almost stands up there with the boys. She doesn't exactly have a supermodel body, being lazy and shitty genetics have caused her to pack on a bit of weight. She has a bit of a gut that sags and it definitely doesn't look all that flattering. However, Emily has been working to lose this weight and be a supermodel (it just ain't easy). It feels like most of the girl's fat went straight to her chest, as she has a 38D cup size (She never admits this but one is bigger than the other), but the world's second flattest behind. Usually, Emily dresses pretty fashionably wearing Nike, tights, and whatever clothes that she thinks makes her look the best. Sometimes when she goes all out she decides to wear a dress... her favorite a bright green dress. Emily's sigil is of puppet strings.
[/cell][/row]
[sub] Psychology[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "Let the world fear us, this is just means to the end."
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Emily G. Reed and Babylon have two completely different goals but they're helping each other. Emily G. Reed wishes to lift the curse that is on her sister - along with removing any Extra-Normal threats that are out there by force. Not out of altruism, she's just trying to protect herself and other people from them as she believes prevention is better than the cure. Babylon, on the other hand, has the long term goal of living up to her nature as an Apparition: plunging the multiverse into a chaotic mess of violence, hedonism, and sin. For various reasons (she claims that she's doing it because she pities the girl) she's helping Emily. WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF THE COVEN ⫻ Emily wants to form a group of people with similar interests as her to help take out the malicious Apparitions and find somebody to break the curse on her little sister. PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Truth to be, Emily doesn't give a shit about philosophy or anything of that mind. She usually says that it's a waste of time and she doesn't have one. However, Emily's actions and words, once analyzed, portray one: self-indulgence. All her life she was bending backward to make everyone around her happy at the cost of her own - and now she wants to make herself happy. Screw morality and other people, she just wants to get what she wants, however. She believes that she has to be heartless, ruthless, or people will step all over her. SECRETS ⫻ Well, she doesn't go around announcing that she's affixed to a demon, that's for one. SEXUALITY ⫻ Emily is straight, but Babylon is what Emily calls "Omnisexual". Babylon constantly urges Emily to be the same way for "power" but Emily just thinks that she wants her to be a "Slut-Ghost". FEARS ⫻ Emily, ultimately, fears making the bad call. She suffers from some confidence and self-competence issues that prevent her from fully making the right choice. Which is why she usually relies on other people that she trusts to do it for her. Which ends up being Babylon a lot of the time (who fears nothing btw). The girl fears to be powerless in any situation and makes sure that she's constantly in control. She also has mild Scopophobia... she has a hard time looking someone in the eye before it starts feeling awkward. REPUTATION ⫻ As for Babylon she's feared across the multiverse as being a terror and the most cunning and evil thing in the known universe. Some believe that she's the one that'll end all the worlds. And she's affixed to Emily G. Reed. A nobody in the grand scheme of things and is known for being spineless, though that's probably what Babylon is counting on. FLAWS ⫻ Emily, again, has self-competence issues deep down. Even though she has made strides, she's better suited as the follower than the leader. She feels like she'll make the bad call and end up making a mistake that'll embarrass her. The girl is a hedonist and is ruthless in getting what she wants, and she has a habit of making enemies. She also has self-worth issues and tries hard as possible to seem like she's better than the people around her - by putting them down anyway necessary. The girl also hates feeling powerless and out of control and has mild control freak tendencies - she always has to be in control. Not mentioning the fact that she's affixed to Babylon, the being that probably has a huge amount of people that want to kill her.
[sub] Backstory[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "Don't worry about where I came from, worry about that I'm right here."

The story of Babylon has been lost to time - or at least that's what Babylon says. She's an ancient Apparition from one of the many alternate universes out there and she gives usually one story. She claims Babylon originated in the 1600s in a town overcome with lust, violence, and monsters, and a Preacher's intense desire to find something to blame created an Apparition. This Apparition ended up spreading her belief and power to all corners of the Earth where she became so powerful that she was a threat to the universe as a whole. It came to an end when she was sealed in a different universe, but decided to cause trouble in order universes. Since then, Babylon has existed for millions of years - in chronological time, as every universe ages differently - terrorizing reality where ever she can get her hands on. She was Affixed and Adjoined to many, many, different humans and was even an Agent to some and Abscised a few people. Her abstraction changed constantly so much that she forgot what her first abstraction was, but she kept a few core abilities. She has done so much that she honestly forgot and only seeks to reach the heights of powers that she had reached before through any means necessary. The Apparition was known as one of the League's greatest enemies and rolled with the illustrious Thorton Walters a few times... but on and off as she found him dull and their plans almost never intersected. Some believed that Babylon would, through her foolishness, end the multiverse. However, that came to an end when Babylon was tricked into entering Shimmer where she lied dormant as there was no Godforce there. Babylon slept for ages before she ended up returning as the Glutton was defeated. The only problem was that the belief in her was gone and she was rapidly fading. So out of desperation, she affixed herself to a child and that only lasted as long as she found a better host... ... Emily G. Reed.

Now Emily didn't have a special type of upbringing. She had two parents (Amber and Austin Reed) and two sisters (Miranda and Jacqueline Reed), went to school, had friends, and didn't suffer any tragic backstory! Though some stuff kinda sucked - there was always something... off about Emily. She didn't socialize with people that well and was relatively reclusive, but she was always trying her best to make friends. She thought that maybe if she's nice they'd like her better and eventually tried taking that to it's extreme. Throughout the years she did favors for everyone and always shared and put other people before herself. However, this ended very poorly for Emily; people simply took advantage of her kindness, but she had a hard just wrapping her head around it. She made a lot of mistakes and the people she thought were her friends peered looked down on her and insulted her because of it. So for years people just treated Emily like trash and she just took it. Mainly because she wasn't all that confrontational or always made some type of excuse in her head to avoid confronting them. It was to the point where some people would have to stick up for her. Still, she had a few friends that saw her as a person, so that counted for something, right? Let's ignore all the pent up rage and frustrations that began to grow in Emily. The only solace that Emily had was in her family, the rest of the Reeds. She had a close bond with her two younger sisters, even though they kinda had their moments of rage. They were more proactive and confident in themselves than their older sister and they had plenty of fun (which, in Florida, isn't that hard to find). Emily was very protective of her sisters and did everything she could for them and they, in turn, did the same. She wanted to succeed, for them. Emily graduated high school and went off to the University of South Florida in Tampa - not too far away from home. It was where Emily studied Psychology, and minored in Propaganda and got her first boyfriend: Rip Vanburen! He was so dashing, nice and appreciated her! She also kept in touch with her sisters, but that changed. And in her spare time, she got a glorious job in a grocery store as a cashier. This is where things started getting a little bad on Emily. Her bosses weren't exactly the best business runners out there and legitimately didn't care about Emily. Despite wanting shifts at night or whenever she didn't have classes they just gave her shifts whenever and extra hours. She tried to put her foot down but she didn't have the strength to resist it. This caused her grades to drop as she tried her hardest to maintain her social life. Even though all of this was taking a toll on Emily, and it got worse when it turned out that her boyfriend was sleeping with another girl. Emily was betrayed and fell into a spiral of depression... one that she didn't care enough to stop and rest. She stayed with her boyfriend Rip even though he was cheating on her and she stopped talking with all of her friends and sisters. Though, everything changed one night when Emily decided to try something - anything to get out of this slump. She confronted the girl that her boyfriend was sleeping with Magnolia Rose, and it ended in a fight between the two that Emily lost. Horribly. Waking up in a ditch without her wallet, Emily went home and barely felt like getting out of bed. After getting bugged by her bosses to come into work (when she told them she had class) she managed to force herself out of bed and took the bus ride there. However, that was when things changed. That's when she met her. Babylon, she called herself, was affixed to an infant and saw how Emily was doing and decided to help her out of pity. At first, Emily thought that she had finally gone mad and tried to ignore the Apparition that she was affixed to but Babylon kept at it. When she went to work, Babylon kept tempting her to stand up for herself and was ignored. This kept going for months until Babylon decided to resort to more drastic measures to get Emily on her side. When Rip and Emily went out on a date, eventually the subject of his cheating came up. Rip honestly didn't care and was dismissive of it all... until Emily snapped and punched him across the face. He laughed it off as Emily kept hitting him more and more... He got scared for his life as her strikes were inflicting serious damage and he was screaming for his life. She got a look at her hands and realized that they were claws and she realized that she transformed into a monster without realizing it. And Babylon laughed. The two escaped from the scene as Emily was reverted into a human and she was horrified at her actions. However, she felt some kind of enjoyment out of punishing Rip for his actions - as fucked up as it sounded. She finally felt something that she needed to feel: power - and that was everything Babylon needed to hear. She told Emily that, through her power, she can make everything perfect. Emily was reluctant but was willing to give it a try - anything to get out of this depressive slump. If nothing else, she wanted to make her bosses pay for their actions of taking advantage of her, treating her like meat... so she had Babylon treat them like meat. Babylon cast a spell on the two of them and forced them to make love to each other in the office. All under camera... to say the least, the authorities were called and there was a vacant seat. One that Emily herself was reluctant to occupy, but someone else took it and with a little threatening, she got everything that she wanted. Then she found that bitch Magnolia... and apologized to the girl for her past actions and told her that she can have Rip all to herself. Meanwhile, she got the hours and shifts she needed to complete her classes without bending backward. And so, in less than a week Emily was happy again, however, she felt like this wasn't what she wanted. She felt a twinge of boredom with her life now, sitting around in classrooms and working in a shitty grocery store. When there were magic and adventure out there, but truly Emily finally understood the power that Babylon boasted about. She wanted to do more with it than sit on her ass but didn't know what. After years of putting up with everyone's bullshit and trying to please them, she decided that it was time to find her happiness. Especially with Babylon around. The Apparition planned to plunge the world into violence, hedonism, and wanton lust - and Emily wasn't exactly sold on helping end the world. And Babylon understood but knew the two would find a common language. The two were alike in ways that Emily, at the time, didn't understand - and Babylon had some sort of affection for the girl. Emily tried to live her life in some semblance of normality but Babylon warned her, regardless of what happened: she was a flame that attracts the moths. Other Extra-Normal beings would come after her and eventually come in contact with them and have to face them. Things were fine for a year. She graduated with her major and... ended up with a job as a secretary for Paragon Labs. And she eventually went back home as she tried to decide where she was going to go next. However, everything changed one night when her sister, Miranda, frantically woke her up - telling her to go help, Jacqueline. There was an Apparition attached to her that was sucking the life out of her... and Babylon couldn't help but chuckle as Emily got heated. A fight ensued between the two which ended with Emily driving off the Apparition... however, Jacqueline was afflicted with a curse that was slowly killing her. Babylon finally explained why she was laughing: Emily was, like she said, the flame and the apparitions and other beings were the moths. At this point, Emily was about to cast Babylon out, but the Apparition explained that she was the only thing helping her... which she asserts is out of pity. She told her of all the ways that she could break the curse, primarily finding the Apparition. Which Emily set out to do, along with a different goal... she realized that there are threats out there to herself and her family that she can't ignore. This is why, to prevent things like this from happening again, Emily set out to destroy all the Apparitions and other Extra-Normal beings she deems to be a threat. Every night she set out and moonlighted as a "demon hunter", ruthlessly hunting them down and sealing them into objects. Eventually, Emily set out to find other, friendly, Extra-Normals so they can figure something out. And that group of other Extra-Normals became the Coven. Emily was one of the founding members of the group, discovering them on Reddit and even lead the group for a while. Of course, that didn't end well.
[sub] Abstraction[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "Master of puppets..."
TYPE ⫻ Awakened. ABSTRACTION ⫻ Telekinetic-Tether, the ability to create glowing telekinetic threads from her fingertips that can control a person's body or manipulate objects. ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Rooted in her desire to control people (Namely the rowdy Coven), Emily gained the power to do just that. From her fingertips, Emily can create thin green glowing threads that she can stretch around six meters. These strings more or less give Emily access to a telekinetic ability... except, unlike true telekinetics, she has a few other abilities that make her stand out. To get into the nitty-gritty, Emily can create these strings and mentally influence their direction and make them do whatever she wants them to. She can curl them, twist them, and do advanced techniques like making a little knot (... despite how pointless that would be). Emily can create ten tethers, one for each finger. However, she can attach these tethers to objects and people and more or less gain a telekinetic control over them. Most notably, she can attach them to people to completely control their motor functions. However, she needs to attach at least five (One to each limb and their head) to a person to control their movement. And she does this by flexing her fingers and their body moves in response. She can freely control them in this radius and pretty much makes them do whatever they want. Emily can fully control two people at the same time, but she can affect ten different at most (She won't be able to do a whole lot). Just in case you were wondering: yes, they are conscious the whole time and aware that they're trapped in their own body. It doesn't work too well on Extra-Normals, however - And by that, I mean at all. The other thing that the tethers can control are objects when attached. When she attaches her tethers to objects she can do the traditional telekinetic stuff to them, pull, twist, push, bend, etc, etc. Each tether can lift to fifty pounds, and by attaching her tethers to the same objects can allow her to lift heavier objects (at the cost of being able to lift fewer objects) to a total of five hundred pounds. There's a little thing that Emily can do with the tethers is by attaching them to objects she can move herself. This is strictly limited to pushing and pulling herself in relation to the object. The final thing that the tethers can do is slice as if they are piano wire. They are sharp as a razor blade and are thus, only capable of cutting the objects those would cut. She has a few methods of doing this; by touching stuff with the tethers and withdrawing them slicing flesh, wrapping them around a limb and quickly squeezing, or whipping someone with it. Emily can only cut through soft materials and attempting it on something harder would only, at most, leave a scratch. AURA SENSING ⫻ Emily's aura sensing is somewhat unique as far as seeing auras go. Emily can see the threading between people, as in their relationships. It technically works as far as the eye can see but it works best up close where she can focus. If two people have an interpersonal connection then she can see it, and more importantly how strong it is - that manifests in how thick the thread is. Loose acquaintances would be a thin, nearly impossible to see, string. New friends would be a more visible wire, and things like close friends/lovers and family would be a thick strand. More importantly of all, Emily can see if there's tension or strain because the thread would be damaged or missing pieces if so. LIMITS ⫻ Now to repeat what's already been said: the Extra-Normal are immune to her ability. Primarily the body control, but she can slice through them just a little less effectively. The max range of her ability is around nineteen feet and she just can't affect anyone that's outside that range. If she manipulates something and its max range, guess what? She's going with it. Emily can exert her influence on ten different people at a time, but she would only be able to use her abstraction on one limb. She can best control two people at a time. Each strand has a weight limit of fifty pounds, but by attaching more strands to the same object she can lift more... up to all ten strands and thus can max at five-hundred pounds. The ability is, of course, linked to her stamina and thus can thus drain her by overexertion. WEAKNESSES ⫻ Emily herself can be manipulated by the strands if they're pulled. If someone grabs them and yanks them, they can pull Emily with them. It's especially easy if the strands are at maximum range. What's else is that the strands can be cut with so much as a slash from a knife (but Extra-Normal attacks cut through them much easier). They can also easily be destroyed by elemental attacks such as fire and electricity... fortunately, they can't be destroyed by brute force.
TYPE ⫻ Aberration (Affixed) ABSTRACTION ⫻ Execration, Babylon can create curses and cast them out as spells to affect Emily, the environment and other people. ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Babylon is an ancient Apparition that has existed in many universes and in many different forms. She was the embodiment of all the evils in the world and that reflects in her abilities. Particularly, her abstraction has shifted so many times that she can hardly remember what her even the first one was (or she just doesn't tell because it's not important). Her current abstraction reflects a phase she spent as a sorceress after abscising someone. She has access to many different "Curses" that she can fire from her hands. Each of these curses in the physical form takes the appearance of Babylon's sigil and depending on the curse glows a different color. They can travel fairly fast through the environment and once they make contact with an object or person the will be cursed (or afflicted) and the sigil will float above it. Depending on what it hits will change the properties of the curse (Curses that hit the environment are an area of effect ability, while curses that hit a person tend to affect that person, and each of the curses gives Emily a different ability).

The Curse of Unending Flame ⫻ The curse Babylon casts out will have a bright red aura around it, almost like a fire. The Curse of Unending Flame is, like the name implies, a fire curse. When the spell connects to a person they'll instantly burst into flames and will constantly burn as long as the curse persists - possibly burn to death as the flames seemingly won't end unless extinguished or the target is killed. If the curse is connected to the environment it'll cause glowing cracks in the ground, which will shoot jets of intense flames for a few moments before they disappear. Applying the Curse of Unending Flame to G. Reed, however, affects similar to a heat-proof shield. She'll be completely immune to fire but she'll have a certain effect on fire and objects. Objects that burn real easily like dead leaves, clothes, etc and flammable liquids, will combust in her presence after a certain amount of time - they'll instantly catch if she touches it with her hands. The other effect of applying the curse to herself is that fires burn much hotter and are much more volatile around her - along with being a lot harder to put out. This ability naturally synergizes with other pyrokinetic along with applying the curse onto the environment. The Curse of Horrid Form ⫻ This curse has a yellow glow around it. It's a curse that Babylon's is (in)famous for and probably the one abstraction that she started with. The Curse of Horrid Form has a few particular effects that make it easily the most dangerous curse in the right hands. If a person is struck by the curse; they'll become an Afflicted and become half-animal. Whatever animal they become is symbolic to their personality (a scared person may become a mouse, an angry one a bull, etc, etc). Usually, these horrid beings get the strengths and weaknesses of said animal. However, the curse causes them to be cast out of society as a freak as they'll be desperate to break it (the only way to break it is for Babylon to break it). Casting the curse on the environment will cause an explosion of energy that'll trigger a mass transformation - albeit at a much slower rate. Applying the curse of Horrid Form to Emily, however, causes her to transform into a wolf-woman. Her mass will increase (to the point where she adds on a few inches), her teeth will grow sharp, her digits will end with claws, and she'll be covered in silver fur. In this form, she's faster, stronger, tougher, and her sense of smell is on par with a wolf. The Curse of Lust and Hedonism ⫻ The curse of Lust takes a pink glow around the sigil. The curse of lust is probably the most malicious of the curses in Babylon's opinion as it overwrites free will. If the curse is cast on a person, the only thing on their mind will be pure and unbridled lust. They're going to try to bone the closest person in sight and if they say no they'll try the next one until they say yes. They'll keep having sex until they either die or Babylon breaks the curse (though she finds it amusing to watch someone fuck themselves to death). If the curse is cast onto the environment it'll cause an explosion similar to the Curse of Horrid Form and whoever is hit by it will be compelled to have sex with the other people who have been hit (if only one person has been affected then the curse will instantly break). If the Curse is applied to Emily, it gives her a different ability: shapeshifting and persuasion. It, first and foremost, alters her appearance depending on the person she's targeting. Shifting her appearance into their ideal person, and afterward, she'll find herself to be very hard to resist. Just by being in her presence will make them gradually more and more aroused as their lips will do anything to get her to take her clothes off. The Plague of Flies ⫻ Curse of flies makes the sigil glow with a turquoise aura. The Plague of flies is the one curse that Babylon says can end lower technological civilizations. Once the curse is cast, an absolute horde of flies will appear and swarm whatever. If it's cast on a person, then they'll be swarmed with the flies as they'll be assaulted by the deadly swarm. They'll try to force their way inside of their target's orifices and eventually suffocate them if the curse isn't lifted. The Curse of Flies, when casting onto an environment, creates a massive swarm of flies so thick that it can't be seen through. The flies won't target or damage anyone for that matter, but they'll obscure the environment enough so that Emily can escape. The Curse of Flies, however, when applied to Emily seemingly has a detrimental effect: the flies will swarm her from head to toe. However, the flies will act as a symbiotic organism that'll clean her body off dirt, clean out her wounds, clog wounds with maggots to slow down bleeding, and if she needs to get away they'll form a cloak for her to get away. The Penance of Greed ⫻ The Curse of Greed makes the sigil glow with an orange color. The curse of Penance of Greed is stated, by Babylon, to be as fun as the Curse of Lust and Hedonism. Applying the curse to somebody makes them overcome with intense greed and changes their goal to gather as much wealth as possible. Whether its money or other items that they believe has value. They'll steal, cheat and kill to gather the wealth, but the curse comes with a stipulation: the more wealth they gather the more they'll turn into gold. It's to the point where if the curse isn't broken they'll turn into a golden statue forever (even after the curse is broken). When Babylon casts the curse on the environment it'll create an explosion that'll curse anyone caught in its radius - but the effect won't be as powerful as cursing one person. Applying the curse to Emily, however, turns her into a moving gold statue that's shiny, durable as gold, and much stronger.

As for Babylon herself: Babylon isn't particularly strong but has the strength of a grown man. She can also float around and stuff due to the whole Apparition thing, but can't travel that far away from Emily. LIMITS ⫻ Now, you might be thinking that Babylon is the most overpowered apparition in the world. And you'd be right... if the RP was more about normies. You see, due to the Extra-Normal's resistance to each other's abilities they won't be all that effective against them. They're not completely immune to them, but certain people who are aware of the curses can resist them. Just to get out of the way, the Plague of Flies, The Curse of Lust and Hedonism, The Penance of Greed and the Curse of Horrid Form can be resisted (unless they actually want the curse). If an Extra-Normal being is cursed, it'll usually wear off after a set amount of time. The Curse of Unending Flame can be directly used against the Extra-Normal but it'll wear off in a few moments and the flames will disappear and the fire won't indirectly cause a lot of damage. Babylon can also only utilize one curse at a time if she wants to use another one she has to lift all the curses that are currently being used. The Curses can be cast as far as the eye can see but go fast enough that even the most unfit person can dodge them. Of course, Babylon is an apparition with free will that's only attached to Emily. She doesn't directly control her and Babylon and her, at times, have very different goals. So that sucks given that Emily wants to control. Babylon can only travel about four meters away from Emily. WEAKNESSES ⫻ Each curse has a way to break or a drawback. When the curses are applied to a person or place, Babylon's sigil will float above it - only visible to the Extra-Normal. The Sigil can be physically attacked and damaged by the Extra-Normal and destroying the sigil will break the curse. The Curse of Unending Flame is countered by - you guessed it - water. Throwing water on the cursed will instantly break the curse and the curse is also countered by everything else that would naturally snuff out the fire. Also, Emily isn't immune to stuff like smoke or fire itself if she doesn't have the curse cast on her. Speaking of casting the curse on Emily, the fire has the habit of destroying her clothes so she doesn't like using it. It's very destructive and unwieldy and tends to injure G. Reed herself, so it requires caution. The Curse of Horrid Form isn't practical to use at times as there's no way for Babylon to control the transformation, so just using it for the fuck of it will create a half-human mountain of rage right on top of her, or gunning for her later. Applying the curse of Horrid Form to Reed will cause a painful and lengthy transformation that can leave her vulnerable to damage. And it's painful both ways. The Curse of Lust and Hedonism will wear off if the person doesn't have any sexual contact in a short amount of time (about a few minutes). The Plague of flies can be dangerous for Babylon as killing a bunch of flies somehow can cause her physical damage. Finally, applying the Penance of Greed to Emily makes her incredibly slow and in agile because gold is heavy material and one good electric shock will knock her out. Babylon also isn't that good of an up-close fighter, as she's frail and very weak physically on the standards of Extra-Normal. If you can get close, you can take her out without the use of an abstraction. There's also the fact that Emily is attached to, more or less, a demon and the social stigma that'll come from it even from other Extra-Normals. The main thing that comes to mind is that the girl is quite tall. She's not freakishly tall but she's almost six feet tall and stands at the male average tall and stands proud. Madison walks with confidence and pride with every step, and her voice speaks the same way. Though, she's usually glued to a phone of some sort or seems distracted. The girl astonishingly enough has a rather deep voice for a female - it is not to the point where she sounds masculine but she has a deep, mean sounding voice. She speaks with a thick Philadelphian accent and usually litters her vocabulary with slang from that area. However, the girl is quite friendly and is prone to smiling and making jokes and is quite energetic. The girl works out a lot and is thus in great shape - she mainly does it for her job. The girl is far from muscular but you can tell that the girl doesn't sit around doing anything which accentuates her curves. It is hard to tell but the girl has a 42F cup size, nipples pierced, but she keeps it hidden underneath her clothing very well. Most people won't even notice that she's bigger than average unless she decides to show it. What she can never hide is her behind which she has to wear jeans a few sizes bigger just to hide. It's something inherited from her mother it seems. Madison dresses with usually the latest styles but never wears a designer or anything like that since its simply out of her budget. She likes to wear Nike and Adidas track/sweat suits, jeans, sometimes walking around in tights and if the weather permits it leather jackets. Madison is African-American to her very core with large, rather thick lips, curly hair that she straightens, and brown skin. The girl is apart of the Afro-punk movement and it shows with her attire. The girl has her head shaved except for the hair on the center of her head forming a mohawk, has many piercings all over her body, and wears leather jackets and dresses "punk" for show. Besides, the girl has many, many, tattoos all over her body. She has been smart to keep it sure that her tattoos are covered by her sleeves and no tattoos above the neck. The tattoos were the result of many, many, [s]painful[/s] different sessions that she, again, mostly does for show. The tattoos are various African patterns that are sleeves on her arms, legs, and upper body. Madison is almost literally a canvas of different tattoos. However, on her stomach there's a hideous scar... one going from her waist to her chest is stitching scars as if there was surgery on her. Most notably it's on both sides implying that it went through her body.
[/cell][/row]
[sub] Psychology[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "At some point; I asked myself if I was a good person and I honestly can't answer it."
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Everything Madison does is to try to get over the events of her cousin's death. Everything. Though she wants to enter the world of the supernatural and the occult. After what that crazy girl Kimberly told her everything she knows and loves has been thrown into doubt - most importantly the event that changed everything. Now she wants to know if she can dive into the supernatural to correct things in her eyes and fix the glaring issue she sees. At any cost. WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF THE COVEN ⫻ Madison, after finding the Hound, mainly sticks with the Coven out of companionship. She wants to fall into the world of the supernatural to achieve a particular goal of hers. PHILOSOPHY ⫻ To Madison Brown she has a simple philosophy: live for herself and live without doubts or regrets. The girl believes that life is far too short to be holding onto grudges and to be worrying about past mistakes. Madison wants to remove the ugly out of her life and that is the way to living life perfectly. She honestly sees herself as a hypocrite because innately she doesn't even follow her little guidelines and has been holding onto to her numerous past mistakes. It's merely a guide and merely how the girl presents herself as. There's also her little belief that bodies are beautiful no matter how they come and should be shown to the world - and encourages other women to follow this doctrine. SECRETS ⫻ Well, Madison moonlights as a stripper to get some extra money. First, she found it dirty and shameful but now... she's starting to like it. The money, the attention, and it has innately shaped her body image. The other secret that Madison has that is far, far, darker is the fact that she died in the previous timeline and was resurrected by her cousin sacrificing herself. SEXUALITY ⫻ Madison Brown is asexual, in the past, she didn't really have much of a desire for sex even though she was fine with it. She tells people that she likes making them happy, but otherwise has no special desire for a sexual relationship. Some people wonder why she dresses suggestively or is even a stripper, but she asserts that she likes exploring her body and showing the world that she loves the way she came out and implores others to do the same. That said, Madison is completely fine with dating either gender and is fine with sex if the person is right. FEARS ⫻ The girl fears the inevitable revelation that she was responsible for her cousin's death. Every day she has gone to whatever lengths but she's starting to realize the ugly truth - regardless of who's fault it or not. Madison fears her inevitable fall from grace and falling into a deep abyss. REPUTATION ⫻ Madison Brown is a rather well-known Instagram model that likes to post suggestive pictures of herself along with posting motivational speeches. Some people bring up her past bullying and her other actions and there's been a growing base of people criticizing her. There's also the elicit side in which she's a very well-known stripper but keeps her identity hidden. FLAWS ⫻ Madison is broken and no amount of therapy or medication is helping. The death of her cousin, being attacked, being exiled from her family and then learning the truth about her cousin's death is weighing down on her. More one hit and the girl will probably shatter in ways that she can never heal from. The girl is attempting to deal with all of these stressors any way she can but they're not working
[sub] Backstory[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "It's... all a lie."
To begin Madison Brown was born in Philadelphia in one of the more impoverished areas of the city. Both of her parents worked at separate times, her dad during the day and her mom during the night, to support the family so they were hardly together at the time. Madison had a little brother named Samson and the two were relatively close... Samson helped Madison whenever and Madison gave him advice on how to talk to girls. However, this wasn't the person that Madison would form a bond with - it was her cousin Jordan Nichols. You see the girl lived a few blocks over and the two were best friends from even a young age, and they did everything together and what they didn't do together they told the other about. As they grew up they grew apart a little bit but with cellphones entering the picture they text each other constantly. Though, as they grew Madison entered the more popular cliques of their highschool through her good looks and connections and eventually became the queen bee. Madison wasn't quite a perfect angel and neither were the popular girls and to be one of them you weren't expected to be. Through peer pressure, Madison did things that, by her admission, she wouldn't have done without her friends goading her into it. They bullied people they felt were inferior to them by insulting them, and sometimes even physically attacking them. Over time, Madison became more compliment with the actions and thus more comfortable bullying people. It ended with a few people filing complaints against her but they were all dashed. Madison didn't care that she was hurting people, only that she had friends and on the weekends they turned up at the mall, parties, where ever. It was perfect. Though, Madison decided to rope her cousin, Jordan, into the group merely through connections alone. Her little cousin wasn't as pretty as her but they brought her in with open arms. Eventually, they were all set to go their separate ways; with Madison and Jordan heading to Grand Ridge Academy in Montana. It was far away from what they were used to... but Madison figured that it was time to get away from Philadelphia. However, Madison and the gals decided to go on one last night out to celebrate. They were going to turn Philadelphia upside down and they gathered everything they needed. One girl got a car, another got them some fake IDs, while Madison used her connections to get them plenty of liquor. Then they went out and had a banger drinking, going to clubs, and doing whatever the hell they wanted as they felt like they owned Philadelphia. It all went wrong in one instant... Madison was the only one who didn't get drunk as the group's designated driver. Still, she was high off of dopamine and adrenaline and was speeding through the streets of downtown Philadelphia. Trying to show off, Madison tried to run a red light to beat a speeding car... ... and failed to beat it. The car went directly into them and they went spiraling. They hit a car before crashing and Madison was impaled through the stomach with a stop sign... which went through Jordan's skull. EMTs came in and cut the traffic sign and rushed her to safety, but Madison barely remembers it as it was all a blur. Eventually, she lost consciousness and woke up a few days later sans traffic sign in a hospital bed. She was kept there for a few days but later found out that Jordan had died. It was... the saddest day Madison ever had. A few months later Madison was released from the hospital but when she got back to school everything seemed different. All the popular clique wasn't talking to her and Madison realized the effect that she was having on the people she bullied. Madison realized it wasn't all fun and games... and after telling her family they couldn't look her in the eyes anymore. They barely even talked to her and only gave her food and a place to stay before they told her that she had to leave when she graduated high school. They didn't care how, but they couldn't stay with them anymore. Those were the most cutting words that Madison had ever heard. And to make matters worse, the people that she bullied banded together and brutally beat Madison so badly that she ended up in the hospital for a while. It was strange being attacked, but she felt like she deserved it for everything she did. Madison graduated and then went off to Farmer Montana's famous Grand Ridge Academy. She wanted to get a STEM degree and worst comes to worst she can go into the military. However, Madison could barely act the way she used to do and was forced to get therapy (that was the least her parents could do). She was haunted by dreams of the incident and the death of her cousin, every time she went to sleep she woke up either screaming or in a cold sweat. The girl was withdrawn and could barely finish her degree. That was when the massive earthquake began and almost flattened Farmer Hill. Madison was one of the survivors, fortunately, and now she was unsure of where she was going to go from here. However, Madison came across one of the survivors of the incident, a white girl named Kimberly Walton. The girl seemed to be oddly interested in her and eventually said that she was best friends with Jordan. After punching her in the nose for toying with her, Madison started thinking and eventually heard the girl out. That was when the two were placed inside of a recollection where Madison was shown everything. The battle against the Glutton, the world of the Extra-Normal, and... the existence of the old timeline. That on its own wasn't all that special, but Jordan Nichols was alive in that timeline and fought against the Glutton. And Madison Brown was the one that died, but Jordan made a deal with the Hound so that she would come back to life in exchange for her soul. The revelation that magic was real on its own would change anyone but with what she was told... The girls exchanged contact information and Madison moved onto the next station of her life: The University of South Florida. She decided that Florida was more her speed and that she needed to start again somewhere else. Things were fine, Madison kept visiting a new therapist and then she found new people. Eventually, to pass the time, Madison began looking up African-culture Instagram pages and found out about a festival known as Afropunk. It was... different, but the kind of different that she felt that she needed. She thinks that she needs to change above all else and decided to attend it. The girl ended up loving it and how African-Americans were expressing themselves with alternative ideas. Madison became a fan of the movement and ended up shifting her style a bit towards the Punkish, but more importantly, she wanted to attend similar events. This made Madison a festival-rat as she attended all these events dressed like a punk and other alternative costumes and took pictures of herself and put them on social media. Her Instagram page started gaining some traction and Madison decided to use this to become an Instagram model. She found validation through digital likes, but it truly felt empty. Madison pressed on anyway as she worked out to get the best body and used donations and other such things to get money. So she can take even more pictures, make videos, and whatever else - it was insane! Though ghosts from the past started to bark yet again and Madison found that her follower base was depleting because of her past bullying. Out of desperation, Madison's pictures became more risque and she started attracting a different audience. They came back as they lusted after her body... and Madison decided to take a different plunge. It was a hard choice to make, but Madison's looks allowed her to become a stripper at a high-end club - taking the name Liberty. First, she thought it was the most degrading and disgusting thing but... she started to like the attention the men were giving her. Saying all sorts of things to get into her pants - but she only entertained them enough to get their bills. Along with making her more money than ever before as she was able to attend parties and other high-end events. However, things weren't the same and Madison still felt like there was something she really should be directing her attention towards... and eventually, she decided to plunge into the world of the Extra-Normal herself. Even though she had nary a clue as to how to go about it; she just wanted to find the mysterious Hound, the being behind all of this. Except she was told that the Hound only appears to people with Extra-Normal powers and he was a very powerful threat on his own. Madison remembered she still had that girl Kimberly's contact information and gave her a call and she gave her a more in-depth look at the Extra-Normal. Madison wanted powers like Kimberly and the others but didn't know how to do it - Kimberly warned her against attempting to gain an abstraction because it can be... dangerous. However, if she wanted to do it; Kimberly told her about a store in a small town off the highway about an hour or two away from Tampa. An antique shop that Kimberly goes to that she says should have something for Madison. Sighing, Madison entered the racist ass-backward of rural Florida and ended up at the shop. Managing the shop was a woman named Patricia Howard and she said that Madison had a "troubled aura" and Maddie, in turn, told her about Kimberly. The woman told Madison that she sold charms and other trinkets with power and normally Madison would call bullshit but she was willing to believe anything that this point. As Madison touched the various charms and realized that Apparitions were sealed inside of them. Known of them were truly interesting her, as they were about healing and Madison wanted strength to brave the world of the Extra-Normal... and Madison eventually touched a charming T-Rex shaped keychain and she heard a deep, monstrous, voice in her head. The Apparition inside introduced itself as "The Jaws" and told her that it had a power stronger than any other and will lend her its power if she completes "The Rite of the Jaws". Interested, Madison bought the trinket, went back home, and then touched it. Suddenly her mind was taken to a massive, seemingly endless jungle... and she was being hunted by the Jaws in the shape of a massive, dinosaur-like, creature. The Jaws said to complete the Rite, Madison has to kill him. The first attempt didn't end well with the Jaws defeating her in straight combat near effortlessly... and then Madison was sent back and told to try again. For the next few weeks Madison tried to defeat the Jaws only to fail again, and again, and again... and only when she started thinking like a predator was she able to defeat the Jaws and gain his power. And it was great as it boasted - granting her the ability of flight among other great abilities. So this was the first step of her quest to find the Hound... she saved enough money to last her a while and she also had her roommates to help out. So now Madison is after the Hound. A friend of hers, Emily, roped her into a "Coven" and she eventually became one of the founding members.
[sub] Abstraction[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "Don't be worried hun, he don't bite."
TYPE ⫻ Aberration (Agent) ABSTRACTION ⫻ The Jaws, an Apparition that can summon dinosaur bones to protect herself from harm, grant her strength, and allow her to fly. ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ The Jaws is an Apparition from a different universe spawned from the death of dinosaurs, that was sealed inside the keychain. The Jaws is a very straightforward Apparition that usually doesn't speak more than a few words at a time, but he's particular about lending his power to a human. Only those who complete his "Rites" can use his abstraction and Madison has proved herself worthy. The Jaws is an ancient Apparition that represents the rage of dead dinosaurs and he can spawn a mass of dinosaur bones. Given that he's an apparition, the bones that Madison can summon are transparent, dark-purple color, and look ghostly. When Madison channels the power of the Jaws she'll be surrounded with a skeletal forcefield that wraps around her and floats about two feet off of her skin. It's a mass of different dinosaur bones (legs, ribs, claws, skulls, etc) forming a shell around Madison. It's quite a messy sight with various mouths, claws, tails, and other limbs sticking out of it that are still functional. It's best described as an armor and it'll be completely invisible to the Blind until it comes in contact with something. The Jaws is durable enough to stop most physical supernatural attacks in its tracks and is more or less immune to physical attacks from the blind. Now, while the Jaws usually form a shell that conforms around Madison she can shape the jaws to a small extent. She can't completely shape it and it'll still end up looking eldritch, but she can do things like form a wall out of bones and how many extra limbs she wants to create. This will cause a bit more energy and it'll be easier to just manifest the Jaws in its basic form. Madison can shape the Jaws in the form of a complete dinosaur skeleton if it was practical. Most notably she can summon claws to augment her attacks. The barrier created by the jaws grants Madison a form of super-strength via the usage of a mild-telekinetic ability. It augments her strength while it's active and allows her to do things that she normally wouldn't be able to do. It gives her the strength of beasts and allows her to crack stone, throw people around, to lift a man one-handed and carry people while she flies. However, she finds this very straining. Most notably the limbs that she summons have a bit of this strength and she can it to grab objects and attack people (Slashing, mauling, etc, etc) - but functionally it's like a short-ranged form of telekinesis. Besides, Madison doesn't have to summon the complete barrier and can just spawn an arm or two. The final part of Madison's powerset is flight, as the jaws can summon skeletal wings around Madison (that can be seen). This isn't a traditional form of flight however as it's augmented by telekinesis and it allows her to move any way she can think of. She can hover, glide, and fly up to thirty miles per hour, and its independent from the barrier (I.E she can fly if it's not activated or has been destroyed). In effect, the Jaws grants a more or less an off-flying brick with some telekinetic abilities. AURA SENSING ⫻ The Jaws prides itself on being the All-Verse's most dangerous and persistent hunter. It's aura sensing acts as a form of enhanced smell... once it catches a whiff of someone's aura it can begin to track them. A trail follows them where ever they go that Madison can follow but the further away they are, the vaguer the trail will be. If the target is more than eighty meters away, then it'll be damn near impossible to see. She can only track one person at a time. LIMITS ⫻ The Extra-Normal's resistance to each other strikes yet again. Any attack Madison uses through the Jaws is weakened somewhat. Along with the fact that Extra-Normal attacks are far more effective against it. The main issue with the Jaw's bone barrier is that the bones that comprise it can be broken under enough stress - one super-strong punch can break part of them and leave an opening. It'll take a few minutes for the barrier to correct itself or she'll have to sacrifice protection elsewhere to cover that part. It can also take one or two bullets (some higher-powered weapons will break through it instantly) before that piece breaks and she'll have to sacrifice the overall strength of the barrier to fill in that hole. It can withstand a beam attack a little bit before the barrier crumbles and breaks. The barrier also doesn't do too good against liquids and gases, for something I'll talk about in the weakness section. While it's an off-telekinetic ability Madison has a harder time grabbing stuff given the nature of how the barrier manifests around her and any limb she creates won't be any different. While Madison can go pretty fast, she's sacrificing maneuverability and the faster she goes the harder a time she'll have making turns. WEAKNESSES ⫻ There are a few weaknesses that greatly limit the effectiveness of the Jaws. First and foremost: impact. Unlike other examples of flying bricks, it's not an ability that enhances Madison's body but instead acts as a field around her. Or better yet armor. The Jaw's barrier may be able to stop a super strong punch but she'll feel the impact of it hitting her and knocking her around. If Madison hits the ground it'll end in some broken bones at best. Given how the Jaws forms a transparent barrier around Madison, this greatly limits her vision as she'll be seeing everything through a blurry purple tint. Next is the nature of how the barrier is created... it takes the form of a mess of bones. These bones leave openings that certain attacks can get through, and does jackshit against elemental attacks like fire, air, and water. There's also the fact that Madison is stronger than the Jaws are tough and she has the habit of shattering the bones that comprise the barrier. Flying around is also not pleasant because she gets vertigo, nausea and has the wind against her face. Such fun. Distinctly lacking in any type of curves - her chests and behind are concave, her waist isn't that slim, and her shoulders are somewhat broad. Claudette's face is the most feminine part of her it seems, but her jaw is somewhat square and boyish. This isn't a point of contention, but it's something that Claudette embraces with open arms as apart of her identity as being gender-fluid. The girl isn't that muscular but she definitely tries to keep in the best shape possible in order be her best. Though after what happened, she has been doing a lot more running and doesn't exactly keep on top of things like her makeup and her other features. Claudette is African-American and proud, she's a mixture of several different African-Nations which results in her skin being a very distinct, dark-brown and would-be-black-if-few-shades-darker skin tone. Claudette's lips are large and glossy and her hair is afro-textured. The girl dresses in modern fashion with jeans, sweaters, and other such name brands such as Nike and some designer brands, but she seems to dress to cover as much of her body as possible. This is because she's hiding many scars from beasts and other creatures. They are hideous and they're all over her body from monster attacks that she survived. She carries around a strange book, however. There is not an inch of her body that's tattooed, pierced, or otherwise marked. The girl also speaks with a slight French/Canadian accent.
[/cell][/row]
[sub] Psychology[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "I got to do anything to break the curse."
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Break the Curse so the Apparitions can leave her alone and she can live her life. That life is in the life of a social worker. Maybe getting revenge against the bitch that cursed her in the first place. WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF THE COVEN ⫻ Claudette wants to use the Coven to find some way to get out of the Curse. However, she's wondering if she should dabble a bit in the supernatural. PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Claudette takes a page from Albert Einstein and says that her life philosophy at its basis is to create satisfaction for herself and other people and to create something from nothing. This means that the only way she'll be happy is by learning and finding out about herself, and her past that she didn't know. Not just for the sake of it, because it's something that she's passionate about. SECRETS ⫻ Well, Claudette doesn't go around announcing that she's being hunted by demons, that's for sure. SEXUALITY ⫻ Claudette is a lesbian but she has a harder time getting attached to people because of her last relationship going... a little wrong. FEARS ⫻ The Apparitions that hunt her want her body and she has nary a clue about what they're going to do to her once they catch her. Some have expressed some very... perverted interest in her but they say that they primarily want her body. And she doesn't want to see what'll happen afterward. Because of this, Claudette is deathly afraid of the Occult and doesn't want to dabble in it. She only uses her abstraction as a means to an end but afterward, she desires getting rid of it. REPUTATION ⫻ Claudette is an outsider to Tampa and even if she wasn't; she'd probably be a nobody. What is notable however is that she seems to have a reputation for chaos following her where ever she goes. FLAWS ⫻ Claudette is jumpy, prone to panic, and more importantly, she's undergone plenty of trauma from the fact that she was being hunted by monsters for the last while. She's obsessed with breaking the curse and will go to any length to do so, even if it means giving up her metaphorical humanity. Because of the fact that the curse was shunted onto Claudette by somebody, she trusted and even loved; she has a harder time trusting people. More importantly of all, she hates betrayal.
[sub] Backstory[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "I'll never let myself get betrayed again."
As a kid, Claudette was a bit weird. She grew up in Montreal, Canada in one of the many impoverished areas, but her parents tried to give everything for her. Working day and night so she'd have food in her mouth and a roof over her head. This was perfect for the girl as she went to school but felt much discrimination because of her race. The girl was an outcast and she didn't have too much family to go to. However, she was still a very compassionate and kind girl growing up that desired to help people and socialize. Mainly she had a soft spot for the other children that were in the same boat as her and were being abused or were having a hard home life. The girl was very studious as a youth and pursued learning whenever she could - even though the people who looked down on her and even her friends said that wasn't for her. They expected her to act like some loud-mouthed ghetto thug-like in the movies but Claudette that wasn't for her. She wanted to find her own sense of identity, and learn as much as she can. The girl looked online to other black people for advice and other ways to express her culture. Though Claudette found herself spending plenty of time online for her social interactions, her parents found it concerning but it was better than nothing. The girl had a heavy presence in social media gaining experiences from other people and more. Though it kinda involved her arguing against idiots online to her agitation. However, browsing the internet is how Claudette felt something for females - every time she saw a girl suggestively posing or dressed risque it elicited feelings that she didn't get from looking at similar pictures from men. Claudette kept this to herself, obviously. For years the girl had a crisis with her gender identity as she didn't know exactly what she was or what she wanted to be. Mainly caused by her attraction to females that her parents previously instilled was boyish. In addition, there was the fact that growth spurt she had was colossal and many made fun of her for being boyish. Every time her parents got a hint of this they told her that she needed to get away from the computer talking to weirdos. This only made Claudette sigh. After graduating high school, however, Claudette decided to leave Montreal for America as she wanted to travel the world along with helping people. Claudette applied to many different schools including Harvard and Yale; she had the GPA to back it up so why not... but she, unfortunately, couldn't get in, and they also didn't have the degree that she was looking for. Eventually, she expanded her horizons to trying to apply to every school out there until she managed to get into the University of Chicago's Social Worker program. That was where Claudette was free to explore herself as a woman and become her true self and she finally came to the realization that she wasn't into guys like that. Instead, she was into women and she eventually openly expressed her sexuality on social media and beyond. And she settled on being a woman except with some genderfluidity. Claudette moved on through classes and eventually she graduated from the University of Chicago after attaining her degree in Social Work and a Minor in ASL. And mountains of debt from her student loans! Ultimately, Claudette chose to settle down in New York and become a social worker. The girl was able to get a pretty high paying job with her master's degree and so on she lived a high life in New York. Even though her apartment was tiny and cheap, she has frequented the art scene and attended many festivals. In the meantime, she has dated girls on and off but she hadn't found the right one until she ran into a girl at the bar. Her name was Maxine Carter and they were the perfect match as both of them were studious and compassionate women - but Claudette felt like Maxine was only into her because she was "exotic". Still, Maxine was her only real girlfriend and after a few months, they finally went through with it... ... But, Claudette woke up tied to a bed and naked. Covered in symbols and pentagrams. That was when Maxine dropped the bomb on her: she never loved Claudette and she was only playing her. Maxine told Claudette that there was a curse on her that attracted monsters and all sorts of nastiness - all because one of her ancestors was a magician and had some unfulfilled pacts. But the curse could be passed onto another female through a ritual and so Maxine set up a trap and Claudette fell for it. Afterward, Maxine left her and Claudette screamed until someone called the police and they came to free her. Claudette told them that Maxine was some kind of satanist and tried to sacrifice her to a demon and fled - which put the police on her tale. Claudette went home, defeated, and tried to sleep it off... that was when a shadowy being approached her. He told her that she was marked for sacrifice and then attacked her. She screamed and thrashed as she tried to haul ass and eventually caught the attention of the police... who came and saw nothing. The shadowy being was gone and Claudette was in the corner in the fetal position shivering. Talking crazy and the police took her in for questioning and she kept speaking about a mysterious attacking. They were about to throw her into the slammer when the thing attacked her again... except it wasn't alone. They ravaged the police station and Claudette had to haul ass to get away from them. They attacked her endlessly at complete random... telling her that they wanted her body, but would have their fun with her first. It felt like a game to Claudette as she was terrorized for a while and they always let her getaway. Claudette went on the run, going from place to place, but they'd always follow her and cause chaos. Though, this wouldn't go unnoticed as she got the attention of a girl named Kimberly Walton. This girl introduced herself as a Ghost Hunter and supernatural expert... who effortlessly ran off one of the attacks with merely a camera. Claudette was informed of the world unknown: the hidden world of the supernatural and why they were attacking her. Kimberly explained that she was an Afflicted and would help her break the curse no matter the cost. Most importantly Kimberly taught her the art of sealing an apparition inside of an object and what would happen if she touched it. In their attempts to test sealing Claudette sealed her main tormented into a book. He introduced himself as the Witch's Darkness and said that he was the servant of powerful Witch ages ago that made a deal with him and many others: a deal that went unfulfilled so now whoever has her curse has to deal with them. This was strange, but Claudette learned that Kimberly was filming their exploits and putting it live. She felt like she was absolutely betrayed by Kimberly and took the book and just left. She definitely didn't want to be objectified like the girl was making her. More importantly of which, Claudette wanted to test this ability - and she convinced the Witch's Darkness to give her his power. She used her sealing techniques and her new Abstraction to combat the Apparitions after her and eventually got them off of her. However, more began to come and she went to darker, more depraved, corners in order to break the curse as the curse wears down on her sanity. She heard about a Coven in Florida that she knew was going to help her...
[sub] Abstraction[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "Darkness is a force... I now force the forces."
TYPE ⫻ Aberration (Agent) ABSTRACTION ⫻ The Witch's Darkness, Claudette can produce a smoky black darkness-like substance that absorbs the energy out of whatever enters it. ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ The Darkness was the Witch's favorite Apparition and her most loyal servant. Mainly because of his ability to interfere with other Extra-Normal abilities and formed an almost literal dark-spot in reality. The Darkness has formed a new pact with Claudette and allows her to use his powers long as she frees him by the end. The Darkness's power is creating a strange, smoky, black substance that drains the energy out of all it comes in contact with. Heat, sound, kinetic, electricity, it all goes dead as it's drained and then scattered all over the multiverse harmlessly. This isn't an instant process as it requires a few moments to fully disappear, but provided it stays in the darkness it'll die out. This allows her to lessen attacks from fire, electricity, and even projectiles as the darkness eventually cause them to lose momentum and then fall. If she uses her darkness on an area for a while it'll eventually chill as all heat will be gone. Most notably of all it deafens sound and she uses this aspect the most as she wraps the darkness around herself to mask her footsteps. The Witch's Darkness can be freely controlled by Claudette and she can create large amounts of it - enough to blanket several city blocks. The Darkness blocks out light and acts as a near-perfect smokescreen. AURA SENSING ⫻ Notably, Claudette doesn't have an aura-sensing ability of her own, but she has the ability to negate another aura sensing by wrapping it inside of her darkness. No being will be able to utilize their aura reading as long as the darkness is around them. LIMITS ⫻ Now, Claudette cannot directly use her ability on other Extra-Normal beings. So for example; she can eat the heat from a pyromancer but there's nothing stopping him from going up and punching her in the face. The ability does nothing to stop direct physical abilities at all. The Witch's Darkness ability to eat energy isn't instant and depending on how much energy it'll take more time. She could stop a rock thrown at her but she'll definitely do nothing against bullets as they go too fast and will cut through the darkness. At best it'll only dampen attacks and certain other feats. Great feats of power like massive fireballs can actually destroy the Darkness as it'll be far too much power for it to handle. In addition, the more darkness that Claudette creates, the less effective it'll generally be at sapping energy. If she creates a ball of darkness the size of marble it can pretty much instantly sap energy from whatever it touches. Though it can't sap energy from what it doesn't touch. WEAKNESSES ⫻ Claudette's darkness affects her as well as the environment. She cannot see through the darkness and it'll absorb the heat out of her body if she's in it as well. It'll sap some of her heat just from creating it and it has the nasty habit of sending her cellphone's charge to a different universe. There's also the fact that Claudette is cursed and being hunted by Apparitions and other nasty beings that want her soul, body, and everything else she has. She has learned how to beat them back but this isn't a good thing. Shooting ⫻ While Kimberly knows a gun won't do too much good against an Apparition; she knows that there are other baddies out there. Which is why Kimberly has taken up to practicing the gun range and keeps a weapon on her at all times. Photography ⫻ Kimberly was born to be a photographer. Even from a young age, she put any cheap camera she could find to good use. Now that her equipment and skills have advanced quite a bit, she has quite a photographic eye. With her camera never leaving her side, few things miss her eye for detail. Cinematography ⫻ Kimberly was already a bit ahead of the curve with her expertise in photography. The moment she started recording her web series and taking classes, she entered a whole new area entirely. While she is no professional, she isn't a novice either. Eagle-Eyed ⫻ Leading into the above skill, Kimberly has a very good eye for detail and is perceptive. Not even the most subtle movement gets past her. Climbing ⫻ Kimberly has been working out and getting into shape, learning how to climb shit so she can do her ghost hunting schtick a lot easier. She feels as if she doesn't have the face, body, or curves, of models. And in truth, she doesn't have the attributes that make them attractive. Not that really hindered Kimberly at all, she shunted that idea as she found her true calling. Yes, she still has the glasses that invoke a librarian look but the rest of her body says that she's an adventurer now. She usually has a smug smile on her face like she knows something that you don't. It's catty, and somewhat immature even - but a lot of people get the wrong idea about her just from the look. She's not as spastic and energetic as before but is a lot more mild and calm. Reserved even... even with the smile. Kimberly is thin, but recently she has been paying a lot more attention to her physical fitness. After all, most of her time is spent running around. So, Kimberly has been hitting the gym, losing that little bit of pudge she got from before when she sat around. Which has done wonders for her skin... she's not pale as she used to be. Now, she isn't completely bulked out or anything but you can tell in a few years she'll be in a lot better shape. Her legs are the most toned and strong looking part of her body, however. She has blemishes on her face and a little bit of acne. She doesn't have any marks on her body, other than a few childhood scars that haven't faded. Her skin tone is the result of being primarily French, with a bit of German, and being distantly Blackfoot. As for the rest of her body, she has a banana body shape. Not a body with a whole lot of curves, her shoulders are around the same width as her waist. Her bust (32A) being fairly small, and the same with her hips, she doesn't have a whole lot of curves. Before the girl wouldn't think of getting a tattoo. However, she decided to say fuck it and get a . Taking the appearance of a massive blue butterfly that takes up almost her entire back... it was the end result of a lot of money and many sessions. On her right arm, she has the tattoo of Rest in Power, Jordan Nichols surrounded by musical notes and vines. Which is weird because, in this timeline, she would have never met the girl. Separate from her tattoos is her sigil which is directly on the center of her forehead. For her other sigil, it's the symbol of a cockroach under her left foot. Ironically enough. Kimberly dresses rather practically when she's out doing her thing. She likes clothes that suit the purpose of being a monster hunter. She wears combat boots (the more lightweight version because she still needs to run and climb shit), and military-style cargo/combat pants with lots of pockets - sometimes she wears jeans but special work jeans. As for her top, she likes to wears all sorts of stuff for the occasion. She isn't against wearing a tank top, but usually, she wears a jacket, hoodie, or even a trench coat. When she's not on the job she dresses rather unflatteringly. Kimberly doesn't have much of a figure so she doesn't bother and, unlike some people, she doesn't see the point of getting all dressed up if the situation doesn't call for it. She keeps it simple with jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie if the situation calls for it. When she's trying to dress to impress she has some semblance of style... a hipster style. She dresses conservative but wears sweaters, jackets, and all sorts of that jazz that are bright and colorful - and likes to wear dresses. Though she still sometimes wears boots, and she's the kind of girl who wears sneakers with a dress. Regardless of what she's wearing, though, Kimberly always has her trusty satchel slung around her shoulder.
[/cell][/row]
[sub] Psychology[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "I wish I could have had the courage to tell Jordan not to go with the Hound..."
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Kimberly's singular, obsessive, goal is to stop Annabelle Heart's rampage. She knows that she, at this point, is borderline unstoppable, but Kimberly's still going to try to stop her somehow. After that, Kimberly's goal even if it appears on the surface level that she's only in it for the money is to protect her community from the Extra-Normal. Her experiences with the Glutton and the Hound have opened her eyes to the bigger picture and she knows that things won't be the same. So she attempts to grow stronger anyway she can and make money while doing it. On the flip side, she is attempting to make as much money as she can off of "Ghost hunting" along with expanding her influence far as she can. Though, deep down, she wishes to get over her sorrow over her best friend's death. WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF THE COVEN ⫻ Kimberly doesn't want anything out of the Coven other than their safety and survival. She doesn't have any interest in joining them, or being a witch at all, nor does she particularly approve of them. However, she isn't against working with them if they have a way of curing the curse that was placed on Annabelle Heart. Nor is she against helping the Coven if they really need it. From what she can tell, they're just a bunch of girls out there sticking together, and she won't really have any reason to bother her unless (or until) they give her one. PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Kimberly outlook on life changed drastically (fighting an eldritch abomination can do that to you). She realizes that maybe humanity is just a speck in the bigger picture but she wants to enjoy life the best she can and for what it is. So what if there are monsters out there? She's going to stop them. Kimberly lives and let die and believes that anyone can change, and the ugliest people are caterpillars that will, in time, blossom. As a strange belief of hers, Kimberly thinks that photographs are one of the most important things of all time; as they are moments perfectly captured and locked in time. Even if the people die, their photographs will live on forever and they are immortalized through a photograph. SECRETS ⫻ Kimberly keeps her battle with the Glutton a very well-kept secret between herself and the people who fought it. She tries to keep the Extra-Normal a secret in the most cunning way she can: by presenting them as fiction. In addition, due to what happened, Kimberly has to keep what happened to her friend, Jordan Nichols a secret. Namely her interactions with the girl because technically, in this timeline, she died years before they even could have met. SEXUALITY ⫻ Kimberly thinks she is heterosexual but it's ambiguous (perhaps even to Kimberly). She isn't exactly the flirty type but had moments where which has made others unsure of her exact sexuality - namely she had some moments of flirting (and "other" displays of affections) with her late best friend, Jordan. Perhaps unintentionally? However, she seems to only show this kind of affection to her close friends. FEARS ⫻ Kimberly knows that there are monsters out there - literal and metaphorical. She feels the dread overwhelming her innately that they could strike out at any moment and she won't be strong enough to stop them. Kimberly also fears to lose the people that she cares about, mainly because she lost one friend to the supernatural and never wants to lose another one. REPUTATION ⫻ Before she was thought of as an overimaginative weirdo with a camera, now that's different. Kimberly's quite popular online with her series Project: World Unknown. The show is actually a recording of her battles with Extra-Normal beings presented as special effects and this has reached people far and wide. To say it in fewer words; Kimberly's a celebrity. One that's known in Tampa, in particular. FLAWS ⫻ Eccentric and is prone to alienate people unintentionally by saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. The girl is very nosy and likes to stick her nose in other people's business - especially when it comes to the supernatural. Kimberly is overzealous, presumptuous, and has a habit of jumping the gun. Especially when the going gets tough. In her attempts to combat the supernatural she has gotten rather arrogant and believes herself to be an expert. When there's much she doesn't know and most likely that'll bite her in the ass. The girl hasn't fully gotten over the death of her former friend, Jordan Nichols, and will go to any lengths for it to never happen again.
[sub] Backstory[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "I've found my true calling."
So to begin, Kimberly was born as a native of Farmer Hill, Montana. Her family isn't particularly complex, her father's name was Leonard Walton, her mother's name was Constance, and she had a sister name, Bethany. Her father was retired from the army and settled down to work in Townhall, while her mother was a sheriff in Farmer Hill - the two met while in the service. Kimberly, at a young age, displayed a creative and fun-loving side that loved to read and enjoyed art but her parents had a different plan, they wanted their daughter to follow their footsteps. After all, it was apart of the family tradition to do this great honor... but it truly wasn't in Kimberly's best interests. She just wanted to be creative and fun-loving and all and that was something that Bethany shared too. The two girls were pretty much close childhood friends - Kimberly's only friend it seemed. The family traveled a lot to other cities and Kimberly enjoyed it... but then they came back to boring old Farmer Hill. Kimberly often fixated on the photographs that they took while at beaches and other places and she longed to head back there - and these days she longs to go back to those days. Kimberly wanted every one of her moments to be immortalized and that's what created an interest in photography. It started with demanding to be the one to take the family photos and then it ended with Kimberly working to buy a hundred dollar camera. From here on in, Kimberly dreamed of going to Grand Ridge Academy and becoming the world's greatest photography and her sister, Bethany wanted to do the same. The two shared the same interest and eventually, they took photography classes together. However, their subjects were drastically different. Where Bethany took pictures of the scenic Farmer Hill and tried to catch people's best moments, Kimberly's subjects were a bit more macabre. Kimberly was interested in the dark history of Farmer Hill and the Occultism that surrounded it... much to the chagrin of Leonard and the many other people who wanted to keep that aspect of Farmer Hill a secret. It was just the occasional picture of a cow skeleton, a pentagram that was drawn into the side of a building, and the site where an animal was obviously sacrificed. The two, occasionally got together to take photographs together but their completely different interests were hard to make work together. Though, things changed between the two after one faithful event. Bethany was attacked one day after coming back from school, she claims by a man - but now Kimberly wonders if it was supernatural. After that, their relationship did a one-eighty; Bethany started hanging out with the rich preppy girls and started talking down and bullying people. Which included Kimberly as Bethany, whenever they were out bullied, belittled, and talked down to Kimberly in high school. It seemed to be for show as, whenever they were home, Bethany rarely bothered Kimberly and merely brushed her off whenever she tried to get a straight answer. Kimberly was hurt by the betrayal as the girl thought that she was her best friend and this bullying caused her to be the target for the entire town. However, this didn't last long as the two graduated and Bethany went to a prestigious college in LA. Kimberly didn't know why, but she remained in Farmer Hill to attend Grand Ridge Academy. She told herself that she only did it to follow her original plan to go there to become the world's greatest photographer. Worst of all, Kimberly felt alienated from her own family by not abiding by their wishes and constantly got into arguments with her. It was quite clear they saw her as the black sheep for refusing to serve their country. It started with small things like not inviting Kimberly home for holidays to more or less kicking her out of the house. Worst of all, she noticed that they took down all the pictures that had Kimberly from their social media and it felt like her connection to the Waltons died. Suddenly, Farmer Hill felt like a trap that she needed to escape... and it was uncomfortable running into them on the street. In Kimberly's spare time she went around Farmer Hill and took spooky pictures of whatever she could find - and sometimes of things that she made herself and put them on Instagram. Eventually, she got bored one day at one of the places something was sacrificed to a "Glutton" and decided to fuck around. She played the part of a ghost hunter and mocked getting attacked by a ghost and convinced a friend of hers that specialized in special effects to edit in some stuff. Then she put it on social media to some rather positive reception. Which gave her the idea of, whenever the girl wasn't studying, to run this little web series of hers named Project: Worlds Unknown. It was a simple thing where she went around and acted the part of a ghost hunter that tried to rid Farmer Hill of phantasms or the curse that plagued the town. It gained some small traction to the point where the ad revenue put a little bit of money in her pockets. Though around this time a newcomer to the town name named Jordan Nichols... a black girl from Philadelphia with a messed up leg that wanted to pursue a degree in Photography as well. They were the polar opposites of each other in every way but that's what made them connect so well. Jordan needed a guide around Farmer Hill and Kimberly, well, needed a friend. Eventually, the two were functionally joined at the hip with Jordan rarely going too far away from Kimberly (which lead to some rumors that they were in a relationship - which Jordan denied but Kimberly didn't). With Jordan helping out with Kimberly's show and all of that jazz. Kimberly and Jordan were best friends and there was nothing that could change that. ... Not even the discovery that the supernatural wasn't as fake as she thought it was. After a camping trip gone wrong due to Scott Reese, the town scumbag, getting possessed by the Glutton and going on a rampage. Kimberly escaped with her life but didn't realize it at the time but she Awakened. From then on, she helped the group whenever she could even though she didn't know of her abstraction. Kimberly noticed a strange trend with her friend, Jordan, and confronted her on it... and Jordan revealed that she was being hunted by a being known as "the Hound". Jordan confessed what happened that messed up her leg, which made her so haunted and guilty: years ago she went on a drunken car ride on her cousin's, Madison Brown, birthday which ended with a car accident that killed her. Since Jordan was behind the wheel, she blamed herself for years for her death. However, as it turned out: that was not how things were supposed to go. As it turns out Jordan was the one that was supposed to die and the Hound wished to correct that. Kimberly vowed to protect her from the Hound and did just that. From there, Kimberly assisted the group in their battle against the Glutton... which was getting more and more hopeless as the situation devolved into raving cultists and monsters wandering the town. Before the ultimate battle, however, the Hound came for Jordan and said that if she comes willingly, he'll help the group defeat the Glutton. Jordan, however, willingly gave herself up to the Hound. Kimberly tried to object but Jordan was dead set on this... and this ended up being Kimberly's biggest mistake. Before Jordan left, they had some parting words before Jordan left for good. The group ventured into the mountain and defeated the Glutton - where she discovered her abstraction - bringing back all of their old friends and creating a new timeline without the Glutton. In this timeline, Farmer Hill was destroyed by an "earthquake" but magic was returned. It would have been perfect, but Jordan's cousin, Madison Brown, was also resurrected and Jordan died years ago. She apparently attended Grand Ridge Academy in Jordan's place. Against the advice of the Hound Kimberly showed Madison a recollection of what happened. From there Kimberly's family moved to Florida without her and Kimberly ended up moving to New York City to attend school on her own. However, this wasn't right... Kimberly didn't want to pretend things were normal with the things that she has seen. After much thinking; Kimberly brought back her show... Project: Worlds Unknown. However, with a twist; Kimberly was actually battling the supernatural and Apparitions and recording it. Over time, her viewer base expanded to the millions - there were less theatrics, fewer special effects, and other fancy nonsense, but that was only because Kimberly was taking it seriously. Kimberly was eliminating Apparitions that were a threat across New York City along with becoming a celebrity and traveling to other places to help stop other Apparitions. Though, she kept her ear to the ground. Kimberly knew the next big threat was right around the corner. It won't be as big as the Glutton but nothing could be on par with that thing. And it wasn't long until she found it; Annabelle Heart. She started tracking a strange string of murders that started in rural South Carolina that went down south. Then she found out about Annabelle Heart after tracking her down and receiving a few Recollections about her. Kimberly found out more and more about the girl and what she had become and realized that she was a monster. And then Kimberly realized that she was the only one that would be capable of stopping her, being the only person knowledgeable in the supernatural and what she is. Thus, Kimberly tracked her all the way from South Carolina to Tampa by following the destruction.
[sub] Abstraction[/sub] [sub][sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup][/sub] "Hi. Bye."
TYPE ⫻ Awakened
ABSTRACTION ⫻ Photographic-Teleportation, the ability to teleport to different locations using photos as a medium along with other abilities. ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Kimberly's abstraction manifests in her desire to capture all moments and how she felt boxed into Farmer Hill. It's a fairly simple abstraction that is considered to be teleportation with a twist. If she has a picture of a location in her hands she can focus and teleport to that location in a flash of light, not unlike the flash of a camera. All she needs to do is focus, envision she's there, and it'll happen - but it takes a few moments to charge. It doesn't matter if it's digital or an actual photograph - but she works better with photographs in her hands. It's also possible for her to teleport through paintings and other such things long as she envisions being there. Photographic-Teleportation allows her to teleport anywhere on earth long as she has a photograph, but the further away she is the more time and stamina it'll take to teleport. If the location is about three meters away she can instantly teleport to it, but teleporting to say, China will take hours. In addition, Kimberly can teleport people with her long as they are close and doing the same thing as her. Kimberly can teleport to any point in the picture, she has found out with some tinkering - before she thought that she can only teleport to the spot the picture was taken. After practicing, Kimberly can rapidly teleport from one spot to another to confuse and overwhelm foes. Kimberly hasn't realized it yet, but she has one of the few abstractions capable of dimensional travel. In order to access it, it's simple; she just needs a photograph taken in another dimension. Kimberly has access to two sub-abilities.
Photographic-Sealing ⫻ Kimberly hasn't realized it yet (nor will she ever most likely) but Kimberly went through a Semi-Awakening. Where she retained her main ability but she gained access to one powerful sub ability. It relates to her desire to face Apparitions and the Extra-Normal on an even level and still relates to photography. If she takes a picture of an Apparition she can seal it inside of the photograph; now this is no easy feat - she has to first battle the Apparition to the point where she can weaken it then take the photo. Alternatively, she can keep taking photographs of the Apparition until it is sealed. Once sealed, the Apparition will be trapped inside of the photograph until it is torn or damaged in any way. Photographic-Scrying ⫻ This ability is rooted in how Kimberly feels as if photographs are just a window. This was also the result of her Semi-Awakening as she originally couldn't access it before. By holding a photograph, at will, she can see the location in real-time where the photograph was taken as a sort of scrying ability. She can see, hear and even smell everything that is currently going on at the location. This allows her to spy on any location remotely long as she has the photograph... she has abused it. If the photograph was taken far enough in the past she can also see into it as if it was a Recollections.
AURA SENSING ⫻ Kimberly's aura sensing is simple; she can sense the auras of objects and people that she has taken the pictures of for about thirty minutes. However, if the object or person is moved from the place where she first took the picture of it; then she won't be able to sense it any longer. LIMITS ⫻ I'm going to skip the obvious and get to the meat. Kimberly can travel anywhere in the world but further away from her current position, the longer it'll take. She may be able to instantly teleport to a spot a few feet away from her, or take ten seconds to teleport twenty feet, but it requires a few moments of constant mental focus to teleport further. At this time, she has to stay still and focused or else she'll lose focus and the charge will be "reset." In addition, if the photograph is damaged in any way she'll have a harder time teleporting. Depending on the state of the photo she may teleport partially there or may not teleport at all. The act of teleportation is a very tiring and exhausting process while short-ranged teleportation is alright; teleporting to China will knock her out completely for a while. And don't get me started on teleporting to other dimensions. There isn't a limit to how many people she can teleport, long as they envision themselves being in the location of the photo, too. Kimberly needs a camera or photographic device in order to seal Apparitions and damaging the photo in any way will release the Apparition. Kimberly can only scry on one location at a time. WEAKNESSES ⫻ The abstraction has a couple weaknesses and drawbacks. The mere act of teleporting is very disorientating, nauseating and causes vertigo - teleporting long distances only exasperates this issue. She may reach the point where she falls over on her face from teleporting too much. There's also another weird effect when Kimberly teleports... she finds herself unable to leave the bounds of the photograph for a few moments. To explain, say if Kimberly teleports to the picture of a beach - she won't be able to escape the beach and go forward for a few minutes. Its like invisible walls trapping her, and whoever she teleports with inside of their bounds. Of course, this is dependant on how far she teleports and how much. If she teleports a few feet then it'll pretty much instantly go away, but if she teleports to the other side of the city she'll be trapped in there for a few minutes. Limiting her mobility and making her easy prey... she will still be able to teleport but the more she teleports the worse this effect will get.

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Entomopathy, Sharon Reid's ability to dominate the minds of all insect and have them dance at her fingertips. ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Kimberly received this abstraction from a friend of hers, who didn't want anything to do with it after the Glutton was defeated. Given the circumstances of how she got the abstraction, Kimberly could understand. Sharon Reid's isolation and inability to connect to people (and the innate desire to gain control of other people) manifested in the ability to connect to insects and find friendship through them. To utilize this abstraction, Kimberly has to feel the same type of emotion which she finds a bit alien herself. She understands how it feels to be alien, as her eccentrics don't endear her to a lot of people, but she has taken strides. Thus she can't utilize the abstraction to its full effectiveness. For example, Sharon Reid could use the abstraction in a radius of miles and could more or less control all insects within the bounds of Farmer Hill. Kimberly, on the other hand, can only dominate the minds of insects in the range of one whole ass mile. Kimberly can completely control the minds of all insects and command them to do whatever she pleases. Whenever she controls insects they do whatever she asks and overrides all of their base instincts until she releases them from her control. With the usage of this abstraction, Kimberly can control thousands of insects at a time, an absolute swarm of insects. This makes her amazingly powerful and versatile with few being able to attack her in a straight fight. There are two abilities that Sharon had that Kimberly can't do for the life of her: the manipulation of insect biology. Sharon Reid's manipulation of their biology was near limitless and she can create any type of insect long as it made some type of biological sense. Kimberly, on the other hand, is unable to accomplish this and every time she tries she ends up killing the insect. So bummer. By taking baby steps Kimberly has learned to understand any insect's biology on touch and heal them. Just a baby step as she keeps killing them. As a side effect, insects follow Kimberly around whenever she has this abstraction "on", even if she isn't using her abstraction at the moment. They float around her, the longer she stays in one area, the more will appear. They'll ignore any actions she does so she could punch a hornet's nest and it will not cause them to attack at all. AURA SENSING ⫻ Kimberly has two forms of aura reading directly connected to her abstraction - mainly if she's using it or not. If she's not using it, Kimberly can see the aura of all insects within a mile and a half radius of herself. She can discern what type of insect they are and what health state they are in at the moment. The second she activates her abstraction the ability changes; she will no longer be able to see an insect aura but instead the auras of everything they can perceive. From the environment, objects, and people. Most insects don't have senses on par with humans so their auras are fuzzy and harder to read. LIMITS ⫻ Kimberly can control thousands of insects if they are within her range, but the more insects she controls the less fine control she has. She can make say a dozen insects do a bunch of different tasks and be able to multitask. If she controls a few thousand then she can only submit one command and they all follow it as a swarm. WEAKNESSES ⫻ Kimberly is telepathically connected to the insects and this comes with some side effects. Controlling a large number of insects is very straining on her mind and causes some serious headaches and nosebleeds. After using the max of her ability it's going to feel like one hell of a hangover hit her. She's also telepathically connected to the insects and killing them causes a shock to her. Killing just one won't be something she notices, but killing a few hundred will hurt enough to knock off her control for a second and a few thousand will knock her out. Somehow killing a million will kill Kimberly too. Killing the insects with burns and cold weather will cause burns and frostbite to manifest on her body.
