After so long, the faculty talking on stage seemed to disperse, causing the girl to raise an eyebrow inquisitively as she straightened her back and blankly stared up at the stage with a frown. Finally. They were getting on with this, so hopefully those three third-rate students would shut up and actually have something proper to think about in their lives. Regardless, as the older hero approached the mic, she squinted, her lips forming an awkward smirk as she held back a scowl. While she did intend to take this all seriously, that flat, almost unimpressed comb-over honestly made her blood boil. Yeah, this was starting to remind her too much of her Mother's side of the family, but she kept her mouth shut as the older mans voice reverberated through the auditorium. Chilling, yet she remained relatively unfazed, she wasn't exactly bothered by the sentiments at all, sometimes shallowly nodding her head at certain points during the speech. Whether she was agreeing or doing it as a way of being impatient was honestly up in the air. However, what she did focus on was the fact that this was a battleground, something she was all too familiar with when it came to the bullshit sessions during her summertime at The Kunzes. If this place was as unfair as it was stated to be, then it was starting to look a lot like that place. However, despite all the platitudes and exorbitant explanations, she wasn't going to be scared because of those statements unlike some of the other possible first-years. Eventually, the speech came to an end, the girl absorbing every piece of the older mans words like a sponge as she continued staring at the man. She ruminated on those words briefly, going over every single thing the man said as she remained as still as a statue. Only after he cleared her throat was she broken out of those thoughts, returning her attention to the man as she blinked with the same, unflinching look he had. Of course, what he said next just made her shake her head in disappointment, "You've gotta be kidding. As she murmured it under her breath, her visage darkened just a smidgen. That was quite the contradictory statement the man was telling everyone; a day for new students to be acclimated? Considering the place they were attending, those who were attending should already be acclimated; so much for not holding their friggin' hands. If they couldn't handle being ready to start from the get-go, they should get out of here and go somewhere else, spare everyone, including themselves, the trouble of being kicked out. Whatever, those who were prepared, like her, would probably actually take the time to train and prepare instead of waste their time doing... whatever they usually did, flirting or something? She didn't know, but she didn't care, as those were the types of people who would be long gone. Despite her immense disappointment, she remained relatively attentive as he concluded the ceremony; Adrianne continued to stare up at the old man as some students began rising up and began to disperse. However, she sat there, very briefly and murmured something to herself, "Soar Skyward, huh?" Cracking her neck and stretching, she decided to go on the initiative, rising up with the people as she raised her arms up skyward before letting them fall to the side. She glanced over at her luggage and began to shuffle through it before producing a pamphlet. Flicking it open, she went over the contents before flipping it closed and tossing it back in. Hauling the luggage behind her like a rag doll, Adrianne began surveying the vicinity, looking to analyze who might actually look capable, serious, or a relevant threat. She did this for a couple of seconds all while some people were shouting over the crowds about classes; sounded fairly young and she could honestly guess those were her seniors. As the shouting went on, the words Class 1A caught her attention. Looking in the direction the words came from, she witnessed not only the Squid Kid heading in that direction, but those other two idiots as well were following after, much to Adrianne's horror. She began grinding her teeth for a minute before stopping, taking one deep breath in and out before rationalizing that they might be heading for another class. ... wait, why were they stopping around the short girl that was calling for Class 1A? Maybe they misheard her and would leave any minute now. ... any minute now... ... ... oh god damnit, she was going to be in the same class as these lunatics. Adrianne could merely scowl at the observation she made as the terrible trio lingered around the girl. Well, better rip this band-aid off before it gets worse as she began trudging towards the group, taking care to glance over at any others who would appear to be approaching as well. Looking over to the side, she noticed a girl who was a bit taller than her approaching the group who looked just as built as she did. Honestly speaking, that was a bit reassuring, at least to her. At least the class wouldn't be mostly filled with people who just managed to scrape by the tests. As she approached the group, she kept mostly to herself, not really speaking up as she lingered behind most of them, staring down at them all with her piercing red eyes. Adrianne cared little for introductions, favoring to silently judge all them as opposed to any sort of interaction and honestly, she felt to be in the better for it. Most of her "classmates" seemed to be making fools out of themselves through interactions and misunderstandings, all while there upperclassman, a girl with cat ears, tried to deescalate the situation. Adrianne couldn't help but feel a bit bad for the girl as she remained silent and to herself. At least, until her name was mentioned by the older girl, Nekohara Aia, was it? Sighing, she scratched the back over her neck as she stepped forward, raising her hand up slightly and weakly waved to the much shorter girl. "That would be me, Aia-senpai," she replied, in a respectful, matter-of-fact tone as she approached; despite her upperclassman's nervous behavior, she did make it here a year. Pivoting around, she stared back at the beleaguered individuals and scanned over them all, appraising each of them and making a guess at which one was Akizawa. Considering they were organizing girls, he opted to ignore the very, very few boys in the group. Some girls she could ignore due to knowing their names already, so that left only a handful of people she could guess at. Despite this all, her gaze always came back to the tall, muscle-bound girl. Adrianne could only silently pray that this girl was her roommate as she listlessly waited for one of the girls to approach.
