Rodney didn't have time to do anything else but call upon his shadow, hoping the wall of darkness would be able to deflect the brunt of the blast. Which it did, but not long enough to leave him completely unscathed. Dropping midway through, he found a great deal of his clothing burnt off and his skin charred. But hey, at least he was still alive, painful as it was. Dropping his gun with his newly burnt arm, Rodney let the appendage fall, but did so in a way that put his hand near his knife. Slowly wrapping his fingers around the handle, he glared up at Aggie, and waited for her next move.
