JEMMA Jemma didn't dare lift her eyes from her notebook, she just quietly listened to the professor's words. He did have a point, it was a stupid question, and it sounded like the girl was living in a fairy tale and only was studying folklore because of the romanticism around it. But he didn't have to be rude and make her cry. She was on edge, her breathing was quick and shallow. Finally, they were getting out of there, finally! Until he made the announcement. She closed her eyes, bracing herself for the worst, but rooting for the best, not wanting to be the chosen one. When he said Jane, she opened her eyes in relief, but he quickly corrected himself and she felt the blood run from her face as Professor O'Callaghan stared at her. Jemma looked around helplessly, hoping one of her classmates could save her from this evil fate, but alas no one could do anything. No one even looked at her, they just passed through her, eager to get out of his room. The notebook made a low thump when she closed it and she looked back at the professor. "It's Jemma."
